Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh

I have started to come into sikhi. and started to keep my rehat by waking up amrit vela and doing rehrass and kirtan sohlla. Even do naam simram.

The thing is before i come into sikhi i used to keep very bad sangat. But i have cut all ties with that sangat and just friends with sat sangat.

anyways i am having strong attacks from karm (lust). Its like all the memories of what i used to get up to keep coming back! i keeping doing ardass to waheguru to rid me of these thoughts but i'm finding it hard although each day gets a bit better.

please guru ki sangat help me! is there any particular path i can recite. i rather die then not live the life of a gursikh.

please please please help me!

waheguru ji ka khalsa waheguru ji ki fateh

Whenever you feel lustful/kaami

begin doing Simran,

begin reading the mool mantar, or

'Aad Gorey na mey Jugad Gurey na mei Satgur eh na me Sirigur Dev eh n mei'

first 'pauri' of the first AStpaddi fo Sukhmani SAhib

hmm or do Paath

try it out, and you'll see which works best for you.

but defnetly when something comes up in mind - Begin Nama japping and do ardaas to Maharaj to save u from this darkness, and keep you in his charan

i higghly reccomend mkhalsa veer jee's site www.mkhalsa.com

if u look through the articles, he has graciously compiled a large collection of shabads that help kill kaam..verry good.

if u search through old posts, i know there is "the ultimade guid to control kaam" somewhere posted in the forum.

memorize this:

kwm k®oD Aru loB moh ibnis jwie AhMmyv ]

kaam krodhh ar lobh moh binas jaae aha(n)maev ||

Sexual desire, anger, greed and emotional attachment - may these be gone, and egotism as well.

nwnk pRB srxwgqI kir pRswdu gurdyv ]1]

naanak prabh saranaagathee kar prasaadh guradhaev ||1||

Nanak seeks the Sanctuary of God; please bless me with Your Grace, O Divine Guru. ||1||

and just repeat everytime you feel ANY vikaar.

also the article from Mkhalsa's site: http://www.mkhalsa.com/lit/fightingkaam.html

think of it like this

everytime a chor attakcs, real life too, it steals something

wat wud kaam steal>

ure bhagti

so, this is y chors are soo dangerous

we do bhagti

then it steals it!!

the real way is to keep on doing MORE PAAT

and more simran

i reccomend do contunious sehaj paats

never stoping

Sehaj Paath

At the start/Arambh and end/Bhog of Sehaj Paath, Karah Parshad made of

clarified (un salted) butter/ghee is to be made. At the start of the Paath, the Ardas and Hukamnama must be recited followed by a minimum of five verses of Sri Japji Sahib, before distributing Karah Parshad. Upon completion of the Sehaj Paath, fives verses of Sri Japji Sahib and the last Salok (‘Pavan Guru…’) are to be

recited after the Rag Mala and Ardas performed.

When the person performing Ardas says,

krI pwkswl soc pivqRw huix lwvhu Bogu hir rweyy ] 2 ]

"Food has been prepared with purity, please do Bhog to the food and bless it Lord."

(SGGSJ Ang 1266)

Upon hearing this verse, the Blade of the Kirpan is simultaneously ‘placed’ into the Parshad and out.

When placing the offered Rumalas over Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji, the following is not to be recited,

pRym ptolw qY sih idqw Fkx kU piq myrI ]

"Oh Lord, you have given me this gift of love (silk cloth) to cover my faults

and keep my status." (SGGSJ Ang 520)

This Shabad can only to be recited when a Siropao is given to a person.

this is the maryada of a sehaj paat

a sehaj paat is the entire paat of guru je at ure own pace, not like akhand paat, where u have to go straight

this way u can listen to all the bani

its good for people wanting bhagti

do contuinous sehaj paats of guru je

first start with guru granth sahib je

then go onto dasam granth je

then if u can sarab loh gra

nth
