The founder of Sikhism, Guroo Naanak Dev Jee (1469-1539) was born in village Talwandi (now Nankaanaa Saaheb, Pakistan). Guroo Naanak Dev Jee challenged the fanaticism and intolerance of the Muslims, of his time. He also exposed the meaningless rituals and caste prejudices prevalent among the Hindus. Guroo Naanak Dev Jee propagated the equality of man and treated Hindus and Muslims alike. He opposed the distinctions of caste and called himself a member of the lowest caste. Guroo Naanak Dev Jee and the nine Guroo's who succeed him set a wonderful example of living spirituality, while taking an active and secular part in the world. Sikh Philosphy The Sikh religion is strictly monotheistic, believing in One Supreme God. Absolute yet All-pervading, the Eternal, the Creator, the Cause of Causes, without enmity, without hate, both Immanent in His creation and beyond it. It is no longer the God of one nation, but the GOD OF GRACE. That being so, He creates man not to punish him for his sins, but for the realisation of his true purpose in the cosmos and to merge in from where he issued forth. 'O my mind, thou art the embodiment of Light; know thy Essence' 'O my mind, the Lord is ever with thee; through the Guru's Word enjoy His Love.' 'Knowing thy essence thou knowest thy Lord; and knowest…

post from http://www.tapoban.org/phorum/list.ppa?f=1 Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru ji Ki fateh Khalsa ji This pakhandi saadh have been playing with our sentiments for long time. Now is time to rise up against him and let him know there is no such place for cults in sikhi, especially in the civilized country like Canada. He made the wife of one of followers as his 2nd wife claiming that she was his wife in the past 42nd life. He also claims that he did this because Akalpurkh told him to do so. . Even his 2nd wife's (as claimed by Narinder) husband agrees to it. This week he said in front of "his sangat" that he gave his wife to Narinder (as if she is his property…

My Soul cries out in pain, “Oh husband, oh husband” I have been separated from my beloved lord for so long! I am ashamed, and run around the village screaming, “Oh husband, oh husband” But Daas still cannot find him. I waste away my life Attached to the five evils. What kind of servant am I? Oh daas, can you not think of your master for even one second? Kaam pulls me through the village by the ear, All the other soul brides laugh at my misery. I still cannot find my husband. Oh daas, do you even look? Krodh beats my head like a drum, I yell and scream at the other soul brides, All my friends have left me, But daas, where is your only true friend? Have yo…
