Punjab’s Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS) vice-president Brig Jagdish Gagneja (retd) was shot at near Jyoti Chowk here late this evening. He was rushed to hospital with three bullet injuries in the abdomen. Gagneja, who was accompanied by his wife Sudesh, stopped his Maruti Swift car (PB08BG0460) while returning home from the market. As he got out, he was shot at thrice by two youths on a motorcycle. Parmod Kanojia, an eyewitness, said the assailants had their faces covered. “I raised an alarm and with the help of nearby shopkeepers took the victim to Satyam Hospital where the doctors referred him to Patel Hospital,” he said. This preacher at MileHi Church in Lakewood, Colorado gives her interpretation of when Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj, gave hukam to his Sikhs to wear a dastaar. She says Guru Gobind Singh Ji did this so that the Sikh would stand out amongst thousands, and be recognisable as the figure to go to if you need any help, support, food, water or protection. WJKK WJKF My question is that i get more ras shanti doing my nitnem bani at home and don't really enjoy going to Gurdwara any more as i used to since i have started my doing my nitnem banis at home. Is this ok cos it is confusing me as i don't understand as i know i am going to Gurdwara is important but i don't enjoy at all nowdays. And plus everyone knows how the system in Uk gurdwara's is. I don't wanna sound like a nastik cos I believe in Amrit and Gurbani

The Pokemon Go App has come under fire for labelling Gurdwaras as mosques. As many people will be well aware Gurdwara is the holy place of worship for Sikhs and mosques are of course attended by Muslims. The hugely popular new reality game uses GPS and allows players to search locations in the real world to find virtual little creatures. Role Models I’m still working on part 2 of my other post but I thought I’d write about something that happened to me recently. I have been thinking a lot lately about balancing the “worlds” in which I live. I think we all have developed our own balance, and some people choose to change that up from what their parents have passed down a lot, some change it a little, and some choose to keep it mostly the same. For my parent’s generation I think it was quite a bit of a difference because they were the first ones in the family to immigrate to Canada. back then was waaaay different. ppl didn’t attend higher education or have much to do after the age of like… 13, lol. you’d have 13 year olds boys and girls that know how to do kethi, cook entire meals, etc nowadays even 22 year olds are extremely immature and can be sheltered. the average person doesn’t know how to do anything except their 9-5 which they are probably half arsing as well. -

Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
