Out of interest there is an individual who I know (XYZ Singh) who has studied for 12 years in New-Zealand, he is a top-class student but due to some financial difficulties and time constraints he cannot attend any university here. He now wants to study at a University in Punjab. Which university should he chose in Punjab, why? And above all how much would it cost him in fees for one year? He wishes to do a three year degree in biological sciences. He is originally from Jalandhar, and will like to study in any university in Chandigarh, Ludhiana, Jalandhar etc. But definitely not outside Punjab. Plus any additional contact details for the university will be greatly apprecia…

How were they able to show this much power of numbers showing the Indian congress party the strength of Sikhs. And now if you look at the situation Sikhs do not congregate in large numbers unless its a religious event like vaisakhi, gurpurb or something. The only time Sikhs got 500,000 was during sarbat khalsa in 26th april 1986. So has the time come to call a sarbat khalsa? Can Sikhs again drew enough numbers like in the past?

This is what happened: Timeline of events First day - 31st October 1984 9:20 am: Indira Gandhi is shot by Sardar Beant Singh ji and Sardar Satwant Singh ji at her residence, No. 1 Safdarjung Road, for the Attack on Sri Darbar sahib June 1984. www.walkfree.org/share/indiachildslaverypetition Last year, politicians in India passed up on the chance to protect millions of children from the nightmare of modern slavery. The Child and Adolescent Labour Abolition Bill would prohibit the employment of children up until 14 years of age and yet, the Indian Parliament failed to put it to a vote during its session last December. Every day that this bill is delayed, the children of India remain at risk of being bought and sold to work in unimaginable conditions of sex slavery, bonded labour and domestic servitude. Child rights groups in India and the rest of the world have called on the Indian Parliament to prioritise th…

US lawmakers snub India to join Sikh caucus Chidanand Rajghatta, TNN | May 8, 2013, 11.12 AM IST WASHINGTON: All politics is local, former US House Speaker Tip O'Neill famously declaimed to stress the principle that politicians' primary duty is to those who elected them to office. Evidently, someone forgot to write this truism in the Indian diplomatic playbook. In trying to stymie the emergence of a pro-Khalistan Sikh Congressional Caucus, New Delhi has been rudely reminded of this universal norm after two lawmakers snubbed India's plea not to join the religion-based lobby and instead signed up for it. Among them is Dr Ami Bera, the newly elected Indian-American Congre…
