Sangat Ji, Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh !! Just wanted to try and get some information and thoughts about an issue we are facing at our local Guru Kar (I am not going to say where as we always have sorted out any problems internally). Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh I find myself in a difficult situation, I hope sangat will help me to clear the confusion. I am an unmarried amritdhari, presently in england and am in late twenties. Lately I have noticed Guru ji has got me into seva - be that in langar hall or doing path seva at Gurdwara. I could be doing rehraas the paat right now oh wait look at the time its 9pm, this is what happens everyday im too lazy to do rehraas dha paat so i feel bad and think to myself "ill wake up at amritvela" Does that happen? I am a college grad and have been working for a few years now. I am unmarried and live with my parents. My mom stays home cuz she doesnt need to work and my dad works. My mom says that my money/salary should be kept in a seperate account b/c Guru Gobind Singh Ji said not to ever take money/property/possessions from your daughters. You are only supposed to give to your daughters. It is in His 51 rules. My dad, however, spends my money as he pleases and does not listen to my mom. what do most Sikh girls do? Keep their money seperate?

back then was waaaay different. ppl didn’t attend higher education or have much to do after the age of like… 13, lol. you’d have 13 year olds boys and girls that know how to do kethi, cook entire meals, etc nowadays even 22 year olds are extremely immature and can be sheltered. the average person doesn’t know how to do anything except their 9-5 which they are probably half arsing as well. -

Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
