Felt like I lifted out whilst sleeping
by Guest Just another soul- 4 replies

Last night I was sleeping and I felt like I lifted out of myself and felt this immense blissful/joy feeling while it happened, it didn’t last long at all and I woke up. The feeling was amazing. It’s given me so much motivation to continue practicing with the aim of taking Amrit. I’m guessing people here have experienced this.

Question about Jaap Sahib
by Guest DumbIdiotBanda- 2 replies

VJKK VJKF I was listening to Jaap Sahib and I came across the quote in the picture down below? I don’t know where it goes when I post lol. Anyway it states that creation is permanent. What happens to creation after it is all absorbed back into Vaheguru? Also in Jaap sahib there was a quote about Vaheguru ji not having any friends and then later on it said Vaheguru is the best of friends. Is this a translation error like on most sites on the internet? Or maybe it is stating that Waheguru has no associates and it was translated into friends. Could you guys help me figure this out? thanks.

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh! Speaking on behalf of the Akaal Organisation in conjuction with Sikh Soldier Forum. I would like to ask the sangat for some help. We require some volunteers aged 15-30 who would like to take part in a small drama that will be played LIVE at the Vasaikhi Birmingham (Mela). Everybody is welcome, there is no criteria of people we are looking for so i reiterate everybody is welcome! As there will be rehersals every week (possibly weekends) i do recommend people from the midlands to come forward as it will be easier for them to travel, however if you feel you have no problem in travelling and coming to the midlands every week pleas…

Manmukh

Let's say. I'm a good-hearted person who is... Christian. Not a Bible-banger, but a run of the mill average Christian man of middle socio-economic status, or an average man who is not a Sikh. I do charity, good deeds, et cetera. I have a wife and kids and I do my best to raise them. I contribute to society the best I can and have a fear of God, in the truest sense, fearing that God does not like bad deeds. Am I a Manmukh, or a Gurmukh? part 2: Why does a man need to keep his hair fully untrimmed, yet is encouraged to trim his nails, which, by definition of keeping with Nature's law, is an example of "God's perfection in his creation"? What marks the difference in hair,…

Which maryada for preparing Amrit is the one guru sahib used?

VJKK VJKF Sorry I am not trying to cause any fights but I have a question. I’m not much of a jathebandi guy because high avastha gursikhs are in every jathebandi, but a question popped into my mind. What maryada of preparing Amrit is the one Sahib Shri Guru Gobind Singh ji used? I understand that Sant Jarnail Singh Ji approved of the SGPC rehit maryada, but here’s my problem. Taksali Maryada states that a Shri Sahib has to be kept of the edge of the batta while stirring the Amrit with a khanda in the right hand, and these two are to be passed with the Shri sahib remaining at the edge and the khanda remaining in the Amrit.. SGPC only mentions a khanda being use…

Thank you for being Sikh Sangat. Sometimes it's hard to get sangat in real life for numerous reasons and get tangled in everyday junjaal, but it's a blessing to be able to get Sangat via online medium. Hope the positivity and pyaar stays high. That is all.

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh, I need help in saying I don’t want the relationship anymore or to end it but without insulting myself or hurting the other person. ok so there was this guy who proposed to me and I said yes because he wore a turban, doesn’t cut hair, is respectful and has a good career. He is from another caste but that didn’t affect me much, i knew it will for my parents with old mentality but I know I’d convince them. Being in a relationship for about 7 months but known each other for a couple months more because used to chat. We only met like 3 times only. He told me he rejected many girls because thinkings don’t match and thinks our does…

Please Help Me My Brothers Are Stressing Me Out
by Guest NeeedHelp- 0 replies

Hi. I am the youngest of 3 male children born into a Sikh family. We all kept our hair did paat etc. Last year my middle brother cut his hair, and my house turned into utter chaos. It struck me very hard, I even made a topic on here about it. It wasn't so much that I personally couldn't deal with it, it was just seeing the pain in my mothers and fathers eyes everyday that hurt me (and still hurts me to this day.) Now my oldest brother is becoming paranoid about himself. He believes he will never find a girl due to his dastaar/beard. He is extremely muscular, been working out for about 5 years. I have even heard him crying one time saying it is hard to be different from e…
