So I see NKJ are back on the seen. Does anyone know if JN Dairies in Wolverhampton still support them and Dhadrianwale as they’re the ones who used to sponsor him to come to the UK? I know they were in full support of NKJ as well.

Real Shastra Vidya
by Guest candy- 1 reply

Who are the gatekeepers of real shastra vidya used by Kshatriyas and Sikhs in historical times? Where is this knowledge kept? Where can it be learnt? I don't want any modern mainstream gatka/niddar responses just the unadulterated pure form used since ancient times. Are there any books or elders that know the true vidya? There must be a least a trace left on this planet since it could not have all gone extinct. Obviously the British rulers at the time and rulers today would have suppressed it but surely there must be one family where the tradition still lives even in secret. Any information would be great. I just don't want any comments f…

I want to discuss something I’m going through. My grandfather moved from neighbouring pind to our current pind, at that time my father was little. My grandfather barted some land in this pind from our original pind. I was born here in this pind. The real problem is I want to marry a girl from our current pind, She’s also very serious to get married. We don’t share any ancestral relations at all and we are jatts and our surnames are different. Currently I’m in Canada and she’s also coming to Canada soon. I’ve been backing of because of this problem but she always stood still. Could anyone suggest a solution to what we’re going through?? Our parents know each other …

Here is a photo of the clips I use with my juura. A tight jura fastend tightly with these two or three locking clips under a dastar keeps even long kesh securely together if ever dastar gets knocked off.

Definition of the word 'Babar' part deux

With reference to a couple of 'discussions' presently taking place on the main page of this forum. I have previously on this forum given explanations (or pointless 'lectures', whatever you wish to call it) about both those topics. If you don't want to read what I write that's fine but I do find it odd that a few weeks or months later some numptey always seems to decide to start a brand new thread about things I've already covered. Alas...never mind...anyways, the first one is the thread about the word for tiger, i.e. Babbar: In one of my linguistics threads here in the past I explained how the Punjabi word for tiger comes from the Persian word 'Babbar' and indeed th…

Alcoholism recovery
by Guest Singh- 4 replies
I am struggling with alcohol use disorder - my drinking has put me in unsafe situations and I have no doubt that if I continue down this path, I will be back in jail or in the hospital. Does the Gurdwara or community have any resources that can help? I have looked into AA and things, but it felt cultish to me- I would prefer to pursue my recovery around the word of our Gurus, and I am not sure where to begin. Do I just show up to the Gurdwara and say I have an addiction problem? Do I perform service every time I feel a temptation? Any advice is welcomed.
