Another viewpoint on this topic : ---------------- It was a good observation on your part as to why there are no models or actors playing the role of our Guru's in movies or documentries. We as Sikhs don't belive in mimicry of our Guru's. In Hindu religion they have Ram Lila and Krishan Lila which are the dramtization of Ramayana and Bhagvat Gita. First we all know that no one can play the real role of any of our guru sahibs. But to give information to mass non-sikh community regarding sikhi and to educate ourselves.. would it be okay to have someone sikh play the role of let say guru nanak dev jee??? (just like the role of jesus in some christian movies).. Some singhs say that many ignorant uneducated sangat will start poojing the actors and stuff.. but what if we can overcome that problem ?? Or maybe like we don't show the image of actor playing the role of guru sahib.. (A shadow or something) ??? let me know ur views.. im 50/50 on this topic..

Cutting the middle ground, what i see from most of your posts is that you saying again and again "Taksal Is great" all others are inferior. I have ssoo many relatives who are taksalis and they are blacklisted by hindia govt', but i never see them bashing around others.. They are down to earth guys.. Veerjee you are teenager and future is in your hand, So unite all sikhs instead of dividing them ! just few cents of my thoughts to my chota veera B)

Its' all cauz we don't have our own country, so they don't recognize us different.. Whenever encarta teams needs any info regarding Sikhs, the very first thing they will do is go ask the pandus regarding sikhs, and you know what tehy will say and stuff.. it is sad..

Im into sikhi because of history ! Hearing sakhia since im kid, watching the pictures of our brave sikh warriors etccc made me proud of being a sikh.. So i got into sikhi via non-religious way, so i still have to take lots of step to get into or step ahead in sikhi via religious way.. BTW, SOGGSJ .. How far back did the whole thing happened to you??

hanjeeeee.. there are approx. two singhs with turban in us force.. somewhere around 1980's congress passed new grooming law effective for all who enrolled into us force after 80's .. but those singhs were way before 80's
