  1. I agree with Jhamka Jee. Taksal was and is not part of the Budha Dal. Nihangs do have lineage, but unfortunately most of them are just Nangs. Just take a look at their track record: they opposed the Singh Sabha Lahar, Akali Leher and betrayed the Panth in 84 by collaborating with the enemy like a bunch of cowards that they are. Currently, the Nakli Nihangs in the UK are spreading some perverse version of Sanatan Sikhism, which is even weirder than the Nihangs of India. I hope knowledgeable Sikhs like Bikramjit Singh, Singh123 and some others come together and create a website refuting UK Nang's bogus philosophy, because it’s very badly needed. At first everyone put their efforts against Kala Afghana and his chelas, now its time they do the same to Nang Nidder and his Sanatan “Sikhi”.
  2. Taksali1 wrote: Why does everybody have this misconception that I hate Taksal? I don’t hate it, on the contrary, Sant Jernail Singh Jee is my hero. Even though I have received many threats from people through PM, have I ever used any hateful language or remarks against Taksal? The answer is NO… As for who can claim to be a Taksali, I agree that a person has to be a student of the Taksal whether that is Taksal in Mehta or its branches abroad. But for a person to say he/she is a Taksali merely because they took Amrit from an Amrit Sanchaar conducted by the Taksal is big laugh. If you have or are currently taking Santhiya from Taksal then yes you can call yourself a Taksali because you are a student of the Taksal.
  3. Mr §ingh Jee, how is it the same bani when right above your post I have written down just a few(of the many) differences. See the comparisons and decide for yourself if they are the same bani.. they are different, not same.
  4. Here are just some of the differences between the various sroops. Ham maskeen khudhai bandhay tumra jas mann bhavae|| Ham maskeen khudhai bandhay tum rajas mann bhavae|| Jasan basan sahej kail krunamae|| Jasa n basan sahej kail krunamae|| Jeo opaie pind jin sajiya… Jeoo paie pind jin sajiya… All this just proves that if one were to think of a Padshed sroop as Satguru, then we have many versions of Guru Jee out there. I always thought that Guru Gobind Singh Jee only gave Gurgaddi to one and the final Guru, but today we have many, many Gurus.(sarcasm) Taksali 1, how can one become a Taksali without even studying from the Taksal? Taksal is not a Jathabandi but a school. If you want to be a Taksali you have to become a student of Taksal. A person claiming to be a Taksali yet has never been a student of Taksal is just a dubious as a non-amritdhari adding Singh and Kaur to their names, it just doesn’t add up. Bhula Chuka dhi khima.
  5. Interesting… I use to support Singh Sahib Bhai Ranjit Singh Jee before. But for the last couple of years he has gotten very close to Sant Samaj, because of which he has lost a lot of support. Back in the olden days he was close to the Babbars, infact I heard he even trained with them. I don’t understand why he has gotten so close to Sant Samaj recently. I hope he comes back to mainstream.
  6. Taksali Singh Jee please read what Sant Kartar Singh Jee said about Padshed: Padshed eh athiant Manah hai (Padshed is absolutely forbidden). Near the end he says: Padshed, Padgand eh ik manmat hai, eh nahi karni chahidi (Padshed, padgand is a manmat, it should not be done) Akhar Judmay rehan danay chahiday nay (the words should remain attached(laridar)) As you can see Sant Jee is clearly saying that Padshed is forbidden. He further says that Padshed is ‘MANMAT”. Giani Kartar Singh Jee is obviously referring to the Padshed done to the soroops of Guru Granth Sahib jee. So do you think that the word ‘manmat’ is any less offensive then ‘imposter’? Where did Sant Jee say that? Please listen to the entire Katha like I have and tell us if Sant jee spoke only against printing. Infact he never even mentioned printing. He just said Padshed is ‘manmat’, that is a clear remark that the sroops done in Padshed are ‘manmat’ according to Sant Jee, printing is no where near mentioned. I am not the one who is saying this, it is Sant Jee who is saying this. Perhaps you know more than Sant Giani Kartar Singh Jee Bhindrawalay. Maybe God has given you more Gian than him. Who knows……
  7. Khalistani, Matha Teking to Shastars, Bani(even a Gutka as it contains Bani) is good. No issue there. The issue here is whether Padshed is right or wrong. Sant Kartar Singh jee clearly says in his Katha “Padshed eh athiant Manah hai” (Padshed is absolutely forbidden). He calls it ‘manmat’. Sure you can bow to Padshed, you can even bow to a Gutka because it’s bani, but that still will not change the fact that Sant Mahapursh have called padshed ‘manmat’. As a Taksali you should support the views of Sant Kartar Singh Jee.
  8. Matha taking is not the issue Khalistani. We should bow to bani even if it is a Gutka. But as Sikhs we should try our best in doing prachaar in favour of Laridar, and discourage Padshed.
  9. Near the end Sant Kartar Singh Jee further says: Padshed, Padgand eh ik manmat hai, eh nahi karni chahidi (Padshed, padgand is a manmat, it should not be done) Akhar Judmay rehan danay chahiday nay (the words should remain attached(laridar)) It certainly does since Sant Kartar Singh Jee clearly calls Padshed 'manmat'. As for Matha Teking, we can even matha tek in front of a Gutka as it is bani, but that is not the issue of this debate. The issue is whether or not Padshed should be allowed. Clearly if great men like Sant Kartar Singh Jee calls it 'manmat' and Bhai Randhir Singh Jee calls it 'Maha Manmat' then who are we to argue?
  10. Sant Giani Kartar Singh Jee Bhindrawala clearly says in his Katha on the rehetmaryadha site that “Padshed eh athiant Manah hai” (Padshed is absolutely forbidden).
  11. These sikhs who are joining the fold of the Khalsa in large numbers seem to be very good Gursikhs at heart. On seeing Patit (mona) Sikhs they felt very sad. But most of us who come from the Indian side of Punjab don’t even seem to care anymore about the rising tide of Patits in our communities.
  12. Fear brings Pak Hindus to Sikh fold Some of the Pakistani Hindus who joined the Sikh fold recently Varinder Walia Tribune News Service Amritsar, August 29 While the Sikh leadership in India, especially in Punjab, is worried over rising trend of ‘patitpuna’ (apostate), a large number of Sindhi Hindus (devout ‘Sehajdharis’) in Pakistan, have joined the Sikh fold by getting themselves baptised. The reason may be their continuous persecution at the hands of radical Muslim organisations or devotion to Sikhism, but this is a fact that at least 25 per cent ‘Sehajdhari Sikhs’ from the Sindh province have been baptised in the recent past. It sounds unbelievable that persons who introduced themselves as Jawahar Singh, Vijay Singh and Parkash Singh with blowing beards were Jawahar Lal, Vijay Kumar and Om Parkash, respectively, only few months ago. As compared to the Hindus, the Sikhs are considered more safe in Pakistan. Many Pakistani Hindus, who had come to India, in the past had never returned to their country, due to their continuous persecution. Talking to The Tribune, Mr Vijay Singh said there were more than 15 lakh Hindus in Sindh province itself, who were devout Sehajdhari Sikhs. He said most of the Sindhis could easily read Guru Granth Sahib in ‘Gurmukhi’ script without any problem. Mr Darshan Singh (previous name Darshan Lal) said the ‘Gurmukhi’ was being taught in Hindu temples and Gurdwaras to the younger generation, so that they could remain devout Sikhs. These temples, scho ols and Gurdwaras include Baba Hardass Ram School, Gurdwara Nanakwara, Gurdwara Bhai Joga Singh, Guru Arjan Dev Pathshala and Baba Bhoj Ram Temple. Raja, a student of class VII from Dehrki district (Pakistan) said he would be baptised as per the wishes of his parents (Sehajdhari Sikhs) shortly. Baba Amir Singh and Baba Amarjit Singh from Peshawar said the Pakistani Sikhs got disappointed when they saw ‘patit’ Sikhs accompanying the Indian jathas, who visited Pakistan every year, to pay their obeisance in Gurdwaras there. They said the government of India should not give visas to the ‘patit Sikhs’ to visit Pakistan as their appearance hurt the sentiments of the Sikh Sangat in Pakistan. They said the SGPC should not recommend the visas at ‘patit Sikhs’. Baba Amarjit Singh, a Granthi of Gurdwara Joga Singh (Peshawar) said the Sikh pilgrims from Pakistan would like to meet Giani Joginder Singh Vedanti, Jathedar Akal Takht for seeking his guidance to maintain ‘Maryada’ in gurdwaras of Pakistan. Though the SGPC or Akal Takht object to the performance of akhand path in temples in India , Guru Granth Sahib is placed in a number of temples in Pakistan. A number of Pakistani Hindus including Mr Jai Ram and Mr Jaipal said they perform path of Guru Granth Sahib in temples every day. http://www.tribuneindia.com/2004/20040830/...0/punjab1.htm#4
  13. Sister Yasmin, you have a point here. I think this is a case of ethnic culture influencing and even being confused by the males as being a part of the faith.
  14. If I’m not mistaken, isn't Kamalroop Singh of Sikh awareness an ally of the UK Nangs? His stance has always been in support of the UK Nangs, and they seem to support him as well. Read his articles, but we should also realize his real intentions behind his words which is usually Nang propaganda. He usually does it indirectly instead of directly like Narsingha and Lalleshwari (now known as Shaka….? something).
  15. Full grown bearded men wearing Patkas is the most disgusting thing in the world, the man who does wear it looks like a man child! It’s almost like a grown up man still wearing diapers and not growing out of it. Do they actually think they look better and smarter in a Patka than they would in a Pagh?
  16. The Patka started from the urban Sikhs who live in the cities such as Delhi and Ludhiana. The Pendu Kids only wore Paghs. When they were too small then as Deep Singh pointed out a lot of them wore Rumaals, but never Patkas. But some how the Patka influence crept into the Pends, and till then all kids in the Pends now wear Patkas.
  17. Looking at this old picture, have you noticed how back in the olden days Sikh children did not wear Patkaas. They use to wear Paghs. That’s the way it should be.
  18. Does anyone have the article in which Sikhsangat.com was mentioned? BTW. I think she looks like trailer trash. I'm surprised that a respected newspaper would hire a third class reporter like her. Her hate filled anti-Sikh propaganda is just as damaging as the UK Nang propaganda.
  19. JSS jee you say it has nothing to do with Sikhism? Please visit the following website of the original Sai baba of shirdi. http://www.saibabaofshirdi.net/punjabi_ver...rsion/index.htm The first thing you notice when entering the site is that you hear musical chants of “Vaheguru, Vaheguru, Vaheguru” in the background. Furthermore, the website is in Gurmukhi. Obviously these guys also want to target Sikhs for conversion. Sikhs should watch out for these guys whether it is the old Sai Baba or the new one with the afro.
  20. The pilgrims that came back from Lahore brought back alot of Birs of Guru Mahraj. Since these Birs are from Pakistan they must by Puraatan. I hope they don’t cremate the puraatan hand written Birs of Guru Jee.
  21. Bikramjit Singh has convinced me of Sarbloh Granth not being Dasam Patshaah's Bani. On Sikh awareness there was a whole thread dedicated to this topic and Bikramjit Singh killed the arguments put forth by Lalleshwari and his group. You can check out the thread on this link. http://www.sikhawareness.com/sikhawareness...=sarbloh+granth I encourage everyone to read it through.
  22. How does the coming of Sant Jernail SIngh fit into all of this(assuming he is alive)? and what about Kalki?
  23. I think Sikh organizations should get together to counter these articles. These guys are no different then holocaust deniers who deny and even under state the extent of the holocaust. I expected more from Rediff. But what can you expect from these guys. This paper is down from South India, what would they know of North Indian politics. That would explain their third class reporting of North Indian politics like their take on Operation blue-star. I think that Sikh originations should get together and spend loads of money to create the ultimate website on operation blue-star to spread more awareness. The thing I noticed the most by reading Rediffs articles is that they are suffering from lack of awareness. They really don’t know what happened, they are only getting information from one side of the story. If we had a major website then atleast we could make aware the people of our side of the story. The website should be official like the carnage84 website that explains to everyone in detail about the anti-Sikh riots that occurred after Indira Gundeee’s death.
  24. I don’t think the taboo of marrying in the Pend has anything to do with caste. The reason marrying in the Pend is considered such a taboo is because your Pend’s girl is considered your Izzat, just as your own sister, and sister-in-law is considered to be. Marrying a girl from ones own pend is almost equated to incest. That is why people who get caught fooling around with a girl from ones own Pend are humiliated or beaten up very severely and in many instances even killed by the villagers.
  25. Why is the Akali Nihang wearing a blue Kashara in this old picture?
