  6. It should be kant and part of your daily nitnem lol
  7. But then whats right and wrong? Isn't that a perception of consciousness? Not long ago when Primark got done for employing ppl/children getting paid pennies, everyone in the world made a big fuss over it. But few weeks later, the same adults who got paid pennies were complaining to people who made the fuss, that they made them loose their jobs. LOL Not exactly funny but you get my drift. Whats right and whats wrong?
  8. Gubinde. Mukande. Udare. Apare Vaheguru is the Nourisher of the world. Vaheguru is the Giver of salvation. Vaheguru is the biggest Donor. Vaheguru is limitless. Hariang. Kariang. Nriname. Akame Vaheguru destroys all. Vaheguru creates all. Vaheguru has no particular name. Vaheguru cannot be lured by any temptation. Repeat this mantar. Note the last word 'Akame', Vaheguru is without Kaam. This will help you focus in what ever situation you are in wether in lust, being lazy, angry etc.
  9. needs to find a manji or palki for gutkeh..

  10. The raag in which the shabad is written should be sung in the that particular manner. There are some shabads for example in Sri Dasam Granth and Sri Sarbloh Granth that have no raag, but raag can be added to those depending on the what the shabad is about. Personally kirtan that is not sung is raag, doesn't make it any less then the actual raag it is in. It just means the message can not be totally understood. You can get anand and ras from kirtan, whether its in raag or not. Just like if gurbani is read in a sehaj paath, you can't read it in raag, you just speak it how its written. You would just get the same anand out of it. But with singing in shud raag, you understand the mood maharaj is getting across. Very important. Hopefully that makes sense!
  11. Can't wait for the iphone version. Any beta version out I could test or have a look at please?
  12. The Lavan are written in Raag Sohee, which should ideally be sung between the hours of 9am - 12pm. I have attended many weddings where the lavan have started very late, some up to 5pm/6pm. I can't be bothered to write exact details, but its extremely disrespectful to Guru Granth Sahib, who should not be waiting for us, but we should be waiting for Guru Granth Sahib Ji.

  20. I heard Guru Ji's dastar/bunga was quiet a length before he left his physical body...
  21. Sorry do you mean Chaur Sahib di seva? Where a chaur is waved above Maharaj? This is a difficult one to answer, when it comes to Sikh and Non-Sikh doing seva in a Gurdwara. The way the Sikh approached the 'non-Sikh' wasn't pleasant and they could have waited for them to finish and quietly had a word. But saying that who is to judge anyone on wether they are a Sikh or non-Sikh? A Sikh in-depth isn't a label. Which is why Guru Nanak Dev Ji claimed to be neither Hindu or Muslim. He claimed that everyone belongs to the same God and labeling is useless. But with certain Seva that needs to be done, must involve Sikh's who are amritdhari. For example at the Harmandir Sahib Langar, only amritdhari's can perform langar seva. This is because there has been and still continiues to have ill minded people poison the langar and sangat. So in some cases, it's necessary to make sure the sevadar has had a 'check' before performing seva. I may be contradicting both sides, but its not my personal opinion, its more what I have seen and experienced. Very good point, I agree with that. It's pyar that counts the most. Even ragi's and poets were muslims in the court of Guru Gobind Singh Ji. Can the same be said for every other seva?
