  3. Sikhism is believing in 1 God. Sikhism is serving the True Guru. GOD in the form of being on earth. Sikhism is helping the poor. Sikhism is abandoning your EGO and becoming humble Sikhism is becoming the dust of everyone feet Sikhism is seeing 1 God in all beings regardless of their faith, colour or caste. Sikhism is not believing in caste system. Sikhism is equal rights to women and men, if GOD is in everyone, how can a women be treated different? Sikhism is practicing fighting the 5 evil senses that our mind is under the control of in our everyday lives and these are anger, lust, greed, attachment and daddy of all: EGO. Sikhism is respecting all religions Sikhism is meditating on and singing the praises of 1 LORD. Sikhism is GOD doesnt have a name, people call by him all by names, but the best name we can use to call him by is the "Truth" because he is the truth and will exist forever, all of us will go. Sikhism is not believing in empty religious rituals. Sikhism is based on action that we do in our life for example our deeds, karmas. Do we remmeber 1 GOD? Do we help others from our own money? Do we serve others without anyself benefit? Do we try and defeat and our 5 evil sensess and instead practice the truthful virtues such truth, humbelness and contentment Sikhism does not make remarks about others and their religion. People can do what they want, believe what they want, our job is to do the best we can do, do good deeds, remmber GOD at all times and also share the truth with others Sikhism is not slandering or back chatting about others. Instead we are to focus on strengths of others and weakness of ourselves to make ourselves look lower and the other high. The aim is to become lowest of the low here. Sikhism is the LOVE for GOD Sikhism is to realise your true self and go back to your source - the truth - god and get freedom from reincarnation. We believe if we do not find salvation in this human life, we will have to born again to have a chance to do so, but who knows what life we going to get next time? I might be a dog and dont know how long it take me to get this human life back. So this human life is given to you by perfect destiny! and it is in your destiny to realise the perfect God. Sikhism is about serving the TRUe GURU the one who has realised god himself and holds the key to him. ITs to serve him by giving your body, mind and wealth. When he bestows his blessings, only then you can realise the all powerful lord sitting inside you physically. SIKHISM IS NOT A RELIGION, SIKHISM IS A WAY OF LIFE.

In india you may suffer illness and muscle loss. DId you know More muscle & increase dprotein intake equals less illness? yo mskcan bro, check your personal inbox, i mailed you, send me reply thanks bro
  9. The Sikh religion developed in the Punjab in Mughal times. The common use of bhang in religious festivals by Hindus carried over into Sikh practice as well. Sikhs were required to observe Dasehra with bhang, in commemoration of the founder of the Sikh religion, Guru Nanak.[11] The Indian Hemp Drugs Commission Report[6] describes the traditional use of cannabis in the Sikh religion. Among the Sikhs the use of bhang as a beverage appears to be common, and to be associated with their religious practices. The witnesses who refer to this use by the Sikhs appear to regard it as an essential part of their religious rites having the authority of the Granth or Sikh scripture. Witness Sodhi Iswar Singh, Extra Assistant Commissioner, says :"As far as I know, bhang is pounded by the Sikhs on the Dasehra day, and it is ordinarily binding upon every Sikh to drink it as a sacred draught by mixing water with it. Legend--Guru Gobind Singh, the tenth guru, the founder of the Sikh religion, was on the gaddi of Baba Nanak in the time of Emperor Aurangzeb. When the guru was at Anandpur, tahsil Una, Hoshiarpur district, engaged in battle with the Hill Rajas of the Simla, Kangra, and the Hoshiarpur districts, the Rains sent an elephant, who was trained in attacking and slaying the forces of the enemy with a sword in his trunk and in breaking open the gates of forts, to attack and capture the Lohgarh fort near Anandpur. The guru gave one of his followers, Bachittar Singh, some bhang and a little of opium to eat, and directed him to face the said elephant. This brave man obeyed the word of command of his leader and attacked the elephant, who was intoxicated and had achieved victories in several battles before, with the result that the animal was overpowered and the Hill Rajas defeated. The use of bhang, therefore, on the Dasehra day is necessary as a sacred draught. It is customary among the Sikhs generally to drink bhang, so that Guru Gobind Singh has himself is said to have said the following poems in praise of bhang: "Give me, O Saki (butler), a cup of green colour (bhang), as it is required by me at the time of battle . "Bhang is also used on the Chandas day, which is a festival of the god Sheoji Mahadeva. The Sikhs consider it binding to use it on the Dasehra day-The quantity then taken is too small to prove injurious." As Sikhs are absolutely prohibited by their religion from smoking, the use of ganja and charas in this form is not practised by them. of old Sikh times, is annually permitted to collect without interference a boat load of bhang, which is afterwards. distributed throughout the year to the sadhus and beggars who are supported by the dharamsala. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spiritual_use_of_cannabis ??????
  10. I used to shave my beard, everyone (relatives) would say why you do this that, you should leave daari and that. I left it recently, but i leave it hanging outside. I i dont like the the idea of glueing, sticking the beard. if you got beard leave it out and thats what i do. funny thing is now, even though i have left the beard, now the relatives come upto me n say why you leave hanging outside, you a sadhu and something and that i should glue it. This pisses me off and make me wanna shave it off again.

  13. sikh is someone who believes in GOD, the gurus and gurbani. a sikh is someone who wants to defeat 5 evils and attain salvation. but lack solid commitment
  14. No difference. The Guru and God are truly one, yet the guru says to be lowest of the low, servant of his entire creation but this his nimrata. In reality, he is the highest of high. He is one with God. He lives under the hukam. Its just God in human body!
  15. I knelt to pray but not for long, I had too much to do. I had to hurry and get to work For bills would soon be due. So I knelt and said a hurried prayer, And jumped up off my knees. My Sikh duty was now done My soul could rest at ease. All day long I had no time To spread a word of cheer. No time to speak of God to friends, They'd laugh at me I'd fear. No time, no time, too much to do, That was my constant cry, No time to give to souls in need But at last the time, the time to die. I went before God, I came, I stood with downcast eyes. For in his hands He held a book; It was the book of life. God looked into his book and said Your name I cannot find. I once was going to write it down... But never found the time'
  16. singh2k1, i agree with you 100% bruv. i believe the same, keeping the hair has nothing to do with spirituality. I see people keep their beards and hair and all they do is slander, so you think they gonna be saved? People will always give you foolish reasons to back themselves and their beliefs up. For example meat eaters will say plants are living things as well so if you can eat plants you can eat meat too. people will say "when you shave your hair comes back, it comes back for a reason, there is no reason, it is just hormones, you could say when you cut grass, it grows back too, so we shouldnt cut that too. people will say "hair is under his hukam, if thats the case, nails are under the hukam too dont cut them either. You listen to your heart and follow it bruv. You follow your heart, you will automatically do guru ji's hukam. bruv as long as you do your simran on 1 GOD, do selfless service, practice beating the 5 evils and practicing truthful deeds, you are good to go. naked come naked go, this body, hair nothing will go with you at the end. only your deeds and karams will bro. so dont listen to others, follow your heart and become truthful. if hairs were that important, then why didnt guru ji tell us through SGGS ji? guru ji have only told us, serve the true guru, beat the 5 evils, become lowest of the low, do seva, remember god at all times. if you do all of that, you shall be ferried accross. theres nothing mentioned about 5 ks in sggs. everything is inside you, if you can beat your mind, you defeat the world...man jeettay jag jeet. wot i personnaly think about 5 ks, is a good way for discipline. because since we live in kalyug, if we keep beard, hair we will get less attention from the girls, and that way it will help us to avoid from ego and lust. but at the end of the day, its all in your brain, if you dont defeat them internally, no outside compliance can do anything for you. people say, you are not guru gobind singh ji khalsa if you cut your hair. i dont belive that, i believe if you become truthful person, without hate, single vision, humble, you are true khalsa. then you should call yourself true gursikh. If you surrender yourself to the guru, give your body, mind, wealth to the guru, follow gurus instruction then you are gursikh. you dont need no hair to become gursikh. if thats the case, i know people that are bald but they are one with God. does that make them impure??? and 1 more thing, people that think sikhs in guru ji times died for hair, then you are wrong. they died for the truth, because that was the hukam. they become shaheed under the hukam.
  17. bruv, the term "gurmukh" can only be used for the gurus. it cannot be used for someone who hasn't fully defeated his 5 evils, maya and realised 1 God. your gurmukh when you are facing your inner guru. that is, you're gurmukh when you follow your inner guru 100% not your own mind. and we will always still manmukhs till we become gurmukh. so we can use the term "sikh" or "gursikh" even gursikh is a very high spiritually stage. dust of your feet
  18. Anyone can have his darshan, if you can show that your Love for him is True and selfless. When we start doing bhagti, its really a exam that we have to pass to get the result and the result is Him. He's the one that writes down the exam and test your love, faith and devotion. Its easy to say "I love God" including me, but do we really? If we love him, we will do anything for him, sacrifice anything our lives, wealth to find him. He created lust himself and wants you to leave all here, if you want him. Now is it easy? i dont think so, especially in kal-yug. But if your love for him is true, you will leave it for him. He created Moh himself, and wants you to burn all your attachment here. The attachment could be to anything, your family members, your body, your wife/husband. If you love him, you will love everybody equally because GOD is everything and God is everything. So how can we love one more than other? so we have to leave selfish attachment here as well no matter the consequences. Guru ji says everything goes, family goes, wealth goes, health goes but may i serve him forever. Dont think the path him is going to be easy, its full of sacrifices and depressing like bani says. But all these are tests from him, to test your love for him. He created Greed himself, everyone wants this, that, everyone wants more money but he wants you to give money back to him. He knows how life is, money is important for survival, so he only asks for a daswandh that you can give it to guru ji maharaj, poor, charities, could be anything as long as goes back to the nature. Now is that easy? not for me, everyone got better ways of spending money. Its hard you know, you work hard to earn and then you have to donate... He created Maya, worldly desires and then he wants you to abandon all these. Its hard, well it is for me, but if you do for someone you have not seen. Today, we dont believe in anything we see. So so much sacrifices, so much for someone i have never seen. Wow, this shows your true love, faith in him. This shows you are a true bhagat. God is satisified, he comes to dwell in the mind. He himself created the EGO and he wants you to kill it by becoming lowest of the low. By looking yourself up as lowly and think higher of others. Now is that easy? this is the hardest, every time i walk on street, i think i am better than others. He wants you to kill your EGO at the dust of his servants feet. So, bhagti is for brave and couregous and even the bravery comes from his grace. So, i can never say i am true bhagat or anywhere near his bhagat or even love him. Because if loved him truly and selflessly, i will abandon this world, sacrifice this life for him which is hard. But i haven't, i am still full of ego, lust, anger, greed and attachment. but i hope some day when he grants his grace, i am able to, and i find him!!! dust of your feet
  19. Sat Sri Akal, The master is true, his name is true, his saints are true, his devotees are true. You can if you want to start reading some translations of SGGS ji, read a few pages etc when you have time. Guru's left the Truth for the world to see through SGGS ji. Read truth, serve truth and become truth. http://www.sikhnet.com/sggs/translation/ lowest of the low
