  1. Japmans i agree with what your saying parji. In my eyes you have to live Sikhi not just do the easy parts like mutha tekh on a Sunday and just wear a Karah. In my experience of being a Singh, its not actually hard to keep Reht its just you have to adjust your life and just let go. When i look in the mirror i see a totally different person, i see a Singh which feels bare strange but also feels normal, like ive always been a Singh. I look at my old photos and think, did i look like a Sikh then? I looked like anyother Hindu or Muslim breh. Its bare deep but i think it is essential that you take the Oath, Keep your 5 K's, do your Nitnem and Simran, do seva and learn how to use Shaaster. A wise Chardi Kala Singh once told me thats the foundation of your Sikhi, without a strong foundation, the only way is down. Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh
  2. Still not working although the site remembers what ive added to the cart.
  3. So if you believe in the Baptism, that means you would take the Baptism because thats what you believe in? Which will make u a Sikh and if you dont believe in the baptism, that means you would not take the Baptism? Making you a non Sikh?
  4. Dal parji, could be a slightly different version i have but it does mean the same thing does it not? Also Akirtghan i completely agree, i myself have conquered the physical aspect but am still fighting with the Panj Chore every second, attatchment is a mo fo. From what i have learnt the best way to beat them is through Simran which i am trying to get to grips with but still struggling with to tell the truth. Only when im in a Kirtan programme or Rehnsbai i can get on a nice level, at home my mind is all over the place :D Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh
  5. Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh. I have noticed on quite a number of times that in different topics some of the Sangaat are classing Sikhs and Khalsa as two different disciples or followers which i find quite upsetting. On my travels in London recently i picked up a "Sikh Reht Maryada" (The Code of Sikh Conduct) from the Chardi Kala Singhs at The Mission in Southall. Heres a little extract; What is a Sikh? Any human being who faithfully believes in; • One Immortal Being (Waheguru or in Western terms God) • The Ten Sikh Guru’s from Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji right through to Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji • The Eternal Guru, Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji • Who has been Baptised through the ceremony of Amrit Sanchaar bequeathed by the tenth Guru, Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji.• One who does not owe allegiance to any other religion apart from Sikhism So if you havent taken Amrit can you really call yourself a Sikh? Or can you call yourself a Sikh but not a Sikh of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji? Its a sensitive issue where a lot of moneh and trimsters dont like discussing or get very defensive about. In my eyes being a Sikh and Khalsa is the same thing if it was different, you would have Khalsaism and Sikhism but you only have the one, SIKHISM. So i think we need to face reality here and really question your love for the Panth. Also i would like to mention i was a monah a couple of months ago and when i actually was blessed with the basic teachings of Sikhi, i realised i was no Sikh of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji and i could not class my self as a Sikh. Only when i gave my head and took Amrit i then knew i was a Sikh but thats the easy part. Keeping Reht and staying on the Path is the hardest part. So is a Sikh and a Khalsa the same disciple or two different disciples? and remember this is just my view on this situation and it is not intended to offend anyone as we are all Souls trying to get back to our home and none of us are any "higher" than any other. 11. Ye i get your point definately. Its another one of those topics which can be argued both ways but im sticking to my guns and staying old skool, its still a NO from me. Plus your life partner has already been decided (Sanjog), you will meet them and be together no matter what. swhw hukmu rjwie so n tlY jo pRBu krY bil rwm jIau ] saahaa hukam rajaae so n ttalai jo prabh karai bal raam jeeo || The moment of that marriage will be set by the Hukam of God's Command; His Will cannot be changed. 12. Dal Singh i think you have a point to an extent and i know where Sikh Soldier is coming from aswell. The event is called "Sikh Speed Dating", the words Sikh and Dating shouldnt go together. I think its safe to say that you wont find Amritdhari's there and the old age arguement comes into play again, are Non Amritdhari's actually Sikh and should Sikhi actually be brought up in such a event. My answer would be a big NO to both but thats just me and its just a opinion. I dont agree with these kind of events using the name of Sikhi, its just not right but theres a lot of things that aint right that are going on. Its just Kaaljug. Im pretty tired aswell so if i didnt make sense then you know why  Waheguru Ji Ki Khalsa Wahegure Ji Ki Fateh

  15. ^^^Exactly, Punjabi Culture in its finest hour. If it was a gorah who was the victim we would of heard a lot more about the actual murder weapon. Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh
  16. Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh. I occasionaly log on to SS during work, if theres a informative topic im learning about Sikhi so how can that be wrong? If i was going onto different sites to do with music or clubs n all that then i suppose itll be wrong but i think going onto SS is keeping Sikhi in your mind during working hours which personally i dont see no wrong in. I maybe making up excuses for my own actions, im not sure but oh well  Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh
  17. He is a legend i dont care what anyone says, we need more Singhs with that rorb nowadays. The only thing i didnt like was the F ing part but oh well. Also the way he described his Shaster and how he praised the Shaster was moving. Fair play to Mr Dhillions family for defending their Muslim friends and neighbours aswell, it was the right thing to do. Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh
  18. Nice one Singhs and Singhnia, much appreciated. Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh
  19. Dont do it as no one involved is actually Sikh and what will happen with the Kirpan and Kara after it has been used for the photograph. You should suggest to get a real Sikh instead to play the part as it is only for photography purposes and no acting is involved. So you wouldnt need a skilled actor to play the part. 22. From what i have learnt, there is a lot of Heavens (Khands) and there is Hell (Narak). Our ultimate destination is to get back to Sachkhand. This is when our soul re unites with Waheguru and becomes one. Even in Nitnem there are loads of references of the different Heavens (Khands) and Guru Ji makes loads of references to both a lot aswell. Heres a few. pwqwlw pwqwl lK Awgwsw Awgws ] paathaalaa paathaal lakh aagaasaa aagaas || There are nether worlds beneath nether worlds, and hundreds of thousands of heavenly worlds above. Guru Raam Daas Ji Raag Gauree 303 There are LOADS more aswell. Also if you read Bhai Rama Singh Ji's book he actually had visions of Hell (Narak) and even spoke to Dharam Raj, the book will blow your mind. Its definately a must read. 23. It was true what he was saying and he obviously felt passionate about what had happened, to me he said the right thing instead of trying to cover the truth. A lot of people live in a fantasy world like they can do what they want and everything is going to be fine and dandy when they die, its sad really. If Guru Ji wants them on the team then he will show them the truth if not then theyll be lost all their lives. Its just how it is i suppose, its all Waheguru's drama as they say.
