In a conversation with this correspondent here today, the tribal family said that it was on a padyatra to various religious places of the country. This family of five members (now six) had started from Arunachal Pradesh 15 months ago. It had covered one dozen states traversing about 5,000 km on foot so far. So much so that a child was born to the young daughter, Maya, at Mallian village near Amritsar and the boy was christened as Rahi Singh (one born on way). The villagers had greatly helped the family during the delivery of the child and housed it in the village for some days. It was about six months ago when they were on their way to Mata Vaishno Devi shrine in Jammu and Kashmir. Besides Mr Phalamtok Kama and his daughter, Maya, Mr Kama’s young sons, Alchai, Thaisiag and son-in-law, Khihan, are also in the group. They had not heard about the quadricentennial celebrations of Guru Granth Sahib nor did they know anything about Sikhism when they had started from their home 15 months ago. However, the soothing and comforting gurbani kirtan mesmerised t hem and they instantly decided to turn Sikhs by tying the hair knots on their heads. The male members added the suffix Singh to their names while the lone teenager girl added Kaur to her name. They were honoured here today by Mr Iqbal Singh Kundi, vice-president, nagar council, Phagwara, and president of the Guru Nanak Mission Welfare Society. He also presented them articles of daily use. The family is now on its way back to Arunachal Pradesh but has pledged to come back to Punjab. They are wonderstruck by its spirituality and the hospitality of the people here. It did happen with me...i didn't go to India....actually I was leaving India..there was this Haryanavi guy who was at the counter where they put on the country leaving stamp...he stopped me but let my all other mona friends go....he said y r u going to NZ?I said for study n then he said "I know ur not gonna study there ur gonna be on run there"....n then instead of putting on a stamp he asked me to wait....then he did all other departing passengers and shouted over to other hindu guy over the other counter and asked him that shud he let me leave or not.....n they started laughing out loudly....my fren had told me that all they want is bribe....but I also said to myself ok let them do watever they want to,I am not giving any bribe......I knew they cudn't stop me this way as I had a valid visa n when only few minutes were left for the departure he got irritated with me that I didn't offer any money.... ....n in the end he had to stamp my passport.... :wub: ....so its just money they r after..... bhul chuk maaf

Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!! not only is he preaching bad abt sikhi...he has done some other bad stuff too....He used to ask parents ,who only had only girls and desired sons as children, to leave their daughters at his dera and then he used to have physical relations with these girls....and not only this he used to make his all sewadars happy by offering these girls....all this was reported by a girl, who was left by her parents at his dera, it to the police but nothing was done....not even a case was registered against him....all this coz of his Indian govt. support.... Veerji u have been to Delhi...alright......have u been to pinds in Punjab????I have been bought up in Chandigarh...the capital ciy of Punjab...and lived there 19 years....let me tell u onething....in every class I went 1 sikh guy had his hair cut...n the no. went increasing as the higher classes came...n in college???u can imagine I was studying in a Canadian College back in India n there were around 150 students in my course....n out of these 150 more than 120 belonged to sikh families...n out of these 120 so-called sardar guys......there were only 11 sikhs with turbans in all....n 4 out of these 11 sikh guys had beards including me.....so what do u say??? I agree with u that people r going to western countries coz there is no job-prospectus in India.....as I am myself came to New Zealand in January....what I am trying to convinve is that Sikhi is on the decline in Punjab....all my classmates used to say that we shud change with time....they said at Guruji's time one needed to be turbaned and that was good but now in modern times u don't need turban anymore.....isn't it funny.....I can't imagine the count of sacrifices for our religion n all they say is turban is out of fashion.... :wub: @ .... n as far as the khalistan is concerned....some sikh guys don't even know that Sant ji exsited and he fought for our very own land...Khalistan....all they know is drugs..girls...clubs.....I think there shud be a movement to educate the guys of punjab abt Sik hi.....Sikhs in west r far more recognised religiously as compared to Sikhs in Punjab..... I don't know abt this guy but i met some1 on another sikhi site n we started talking abt Khalistan.....he sent me mails telling how illogical it was to divide the India into Khalistan n stuff...n then I did a trick to check him....I made a new id by the name of a hindu guy n mailed him posing as a sikh-hater....n then he showed his true colors....He was a guy of RSS and he told me that he uses this singh id to gain information from sikhi sites...... funny isn't it... I think no matter how much information they take they can never sleep peacefully.....the fear of being attacked by khalsas always haunts them....I am talking especially abt Brar.....lol.....somewhere I heard that he keeps changing place to be safe from sikhs...lol....some1 ask him where will he hide when "lekha rabb mangesiya"????
