How do you realise the name of God , which God by the way? Krishna of vaishnav, Jesus 'the son of God' or Muhammed 'the prophet of Allah'. Krishna of hindus different from Ram or Vishnu different from Jesus and wholly different from Allah. Only Sikhi teaches Gurmat marg, the only path to God who is Ram, Krishna, Vishnu & Allah, but not how their believers see them. And keeping niara roop bestowed by Guru Gobind Singh signifies the true light of God within. It is not a ritual. Keeping Kesh is Natural, but circumcising or shaving of head is UN-NATURAL, not as per laws of nature. The five k's are not un-natural or rituals.

It looks like it is a cheap charm ring, one that is supposed to do wonders for you. There are hundereds of people selling these types of rings on roadside in India, esp. near Hindu temples or Muslim mosques. There are snakes carved in the ring. So, it is definitly some kind of charm in my opinion. It should be worth only a few bucks!

I think hindostani is different from hindi. nehru and gang did not want hindostani but hindi to be official lang. not sure though.

No But superstitions are hard to let go. If your time is bad or you are going through a rough phase, you look for ways to help yourself and all that. When you are in India, look at the hands of labourers and rickshaw pullers, they have incredible lines, but are still poor. Also lines change every six months. It is better to japp naam, which works wonders for you.

Actually in Christainity and Islam they believe in arrival of messiah and day of judgement. That is why they bury their dead. They believe that all dead would one day be woken and judged etc. That is why they are obssesd with when the final day will come.

There are such types in every religion and culture. You don't know the real punjabi and the contributions they make or have made. Punjabis are far better than other people. Look around more and you will find too many degenerated people of various colors and not just punjabis. Period.

While other communities and religions know their history, Sikhs barely know it.

It's not Bindra fault. He was brought up like that, without saroop. Majority of Sikhs are like that in Punjab, esp. Chandigarh. 80% Sikhs are like that in delhi. In about fifty years only Jathedars and granthis would be with saroop in Punjab, rest will all be cut surds. Then it will be begginning of doomsday in Punjab. He is good guy who has done India proud. He's gone through a lot to achieve this. He is not like Sania Mirza, without talent and still famous.

Nothing is given in this world. You have to Take it. However, i don't think Sikhs are in a position to take it anymore. Sikhs lost a golden oppotunity during partition of India, due to lack of far-sighted and visionary leaders and unity. Also there are too many black sheep among the whites.

Lol i never realised that you are a bibi! Anyhow, dear, i too am at uni. but you know, i still have to see a genuine brother sister relationship formed between two strangers. There is guy in my class who too is fond of getting 'sisters' . He is crap! because this is da only way to chat up and spend some time with a gal n he is also innocently touching his 'sisters' here n there n also uses dem to send msgs to gals he like. I am no telling u to do anything, but u should form ur own opinion from experience, which must exclude ur own. U know, really, no guy ever wants to be brother or close friend of a bibi. It is another way of hooking with gals u like. don't mind, but how many hugs do u get from ur pals, how many pats on ur cheek, how many chucklings etc. juz find out the most stupid guy from your mates n den make him talk using ur cleverness. u know, ask him what other guys, ur mates , say about u, or how they discuss u wen among themselves or other guys. U will be amazed! if u had a genuine realtionship and wanted to get married, that would be understandable, but being in close friendship with many guys who are like brothers to u. my advise, pick up ur shoes and run fast!

Who your parents don't trust? You or your mates? Your parents wold never want anything bad for you. Are you a very good student? If you are an average student and you only want a degree for the sake of it you will definitly do more wrong things. If you know that half the time you will be having fun at uni. Then it is better to stay home and learn family business. You will thank your parents when you are old. Friendships don't last, they change with seasons. Only one or two friends are life long friends, rest are all for the time being. Think about your future. An elder once told me that everyone has to work hard like a donkey once in their lifetime, you choose when you want to be donkey, in your youth (wen u can shape ur future) or in old age (when you cannot make much difference).

The best ladai is between marasi women. They stand at a distance of one feet from one another, usually in a group of five-seven and hurl vocal abuses at each other which can be heard from a mile. They hold chappals in their hands and go like, ni tera puttar marje, ni teri kudi nas jave, ni tera banda duja viyah karle.....LOL
