Has he really left his wife and kids to have relations with another women? if this is not true then no one should have put it up - spreading rumours... if it is true then surely he has broken his own standards and sikh standards and nihang standards.

(posting assuming the blog is true/genuinie) Funny how the sikhs so urgently wanted the blog banned . . . . why are we NOT so quick to want to sort out the actual problem it highlights? I think this blog ITSELF would have been the quickest and most effective way of curing this problem by waking up our sisters to these beasts. . . .now that its gone - Im sure it will look like its all being made up -again

Is going to a kirtan program more of a priority for Shaheed Singhs than say stopping the desecration of the golden temple eg 1984, or the thousands of innocents who get killed, people who get tortured? What are they doing about the genocide in Sudan? Seems strange to me that with so much tyranny in the world that the Shaheeds Singhs ("special forces") could be combatting, that they let these injustices carry on but prefer to go to a kirtan progam instead?!

Amazing that people don`t realize whats going on. The media has a VERY VERY powerful influence on society, especially on the youth. Why do companies spend loads of millions on advertising? . . . Because people get influenced by what they see/hear in the media. Look at the state of Punjab and ask yourself if the media has had any affect on the people there in the last 15 years. ?? The media has brainwashed our youth into wanting to look like the monay heros they see, and brainwashed our girls into thinking that sardars are stupid and that heros (ie desirable men) are always cleanshaven monay, whereas the truth in India is quite the oppoisite. This is a very serious issue, especially if , on the whole, our girls dont want to marry Singhs. I personally dont suggest people to go mad every time they see this type of attack, but actually use it to motivate themselves to be more succesful. It would also be useful to have more sucessful sikh role models in the media also.

This amazes me . . . The people who keep complaining about the gurdrawara commitees spending money on wrong things are the same people who are funding them and lining their pockets!! Why do you put money in the golak?? There is no commandment from GOD that says you have to put money in the golak. There are thousands of people who put money in the golak and then come out with complaints like: the committeee -don`t care about the youth -they don`t spend on education -all they care about is big buildings -they line their own pockets etc. etc. NB YOU DO NOT HAVE TO PUT MONEY IN THE GOLAK why not donate the same money to organisations who in your opinion are doing a good job?? why not donate books to for the kids ?? why not spend your wasted "golak money" on a collective fund to pay for bringing educated speakers and gianis who speak English? why not get 30-40 individuals to buy a projector for English translations in your Gurdwara so that every Gurdwara has one?? Alternatively, keep giving money to people you call masands and then complain about it. Your choice.....

Just because you are a small community, does not necessarily mean you become extinct (look at the Jews and how long they have lasted amid adversity). At present, some people, regardless of the power of the media/govt policies etc, still continue following sikhi/ even take it up. What I think is crucial is - who are these few people that continue with their sikhi or decide to take it up in the face of such a climate? What is their genetic make up- what are their traits? My hope is: . . . that the changing environment may cause a sorting out of the "men from the boys" or sort out the "real lions from the rest". This would leave a small but "high pedigree" panth, which should on the whole produce kids similiar to themselves, leading to great natural strength in the panth.
