  1. "Sikhs" aint ready for nothing. We are quick to give it the large. I will be very suprised if they even twitch. If we did f'all in 1984+ dout we going to do anything now.
  2. Il be very surprised if something happens !. Clear evidence we are not accepted in India. If they only knew if we were trying to be terrorist they would soon know the real meaning of it!. Punks!
  3. Leaders shouldn’t be voted in they need to prove and show the sangat that they are up to the task by what they do in the real world and by there actions. So I don’t expect them to do much. It our own fault our infrastructure to communicate to the outside world during media blackouts have not developed or changed since 1984.
  4. This topic has at present had 166 views but only 8 replies ?! Does the sangat not have a view or opinion on this topic ?.
  5. Baba Budha jee is GOD of SHASTAR VIDYA. Even Mahakaal jee takes advice of Baba Budha Jee. I hope Baba Budha jee Maharaaaj does kirpa on the sikh youth and give them bit of shastar vidya. Nidar Singh will RUN AWAY in front of an Akaali who has got BIT of shastar vidya from Baba Budha Jee Maharaaj. But in todays climate dont we need more then Shastar Vidya, has the art of combat within sikhi not developed over the years. Are we still relying on Shastar Vidya to protect and serve ?. Also Veer ji can you give us some insight how you think learning Shastar Vidya has helped you develop as a " Saint Warrior " (Assumming you are learning Shastar Vidya).
  6. Wjkk Wjkf Jeo, Although I am not capable yet of answering this question but I can point one thing, we are not supposed to be warrior saints, its saint warrior instead. This difference might sound subtle, but makes all the difference imho. Crave to be a saint first, once we have become one, Guruji will answer automatically and tell us what to do in order to be a warrior. Please, Bani comes first. Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj were an ocean of peace, the waves of warriorhood at on top, and temporary ones at that. Let's all fill our little ponds with nectar of the bani first, then we can think of ways to get our waves splashing when we are forced to go that far. Sorry if i have said anything wrong Fateh Jeo. Veer thank you for your reply. Just a few questions. Does saint carry a greater weight then the warrior aspect? if so can you explain why. I would have thought that they both bare equally as much importance, being disciplined in combat develops a person physically and somewhat mentally. I find it hard to believe that if the need be tomorrow to protect humanity from trinity that we will automatically be combat ready. Can you not develop both elements at the same time, dont they go hand in hand. Just because your combat ready doesnt mean your going to abuse your skills. Better to have it in your skill set then not have it at all. Can someone please shed more light on this issue, how was it done 300+ years ago. I agree, i have to ask where did it go wrong ? why don't we develop these skill sets and why is it seen in a negative manor ?. Do we as sikh see the whole warrior aspect as extremist aspect of sikhi ? (In light of khalistan movement ?)
  7. lol, horrr youv got a christmas tree? so not fair. iv got a pear tree with lights on it Going back to topic, whats so wrong with celebrating ?. Okay i don't mean start eating turkey etc etc, but like going to a xmas dinner (vegy option) and pulling a few crackers ?. Also is Jesus mentioned anywhere in sikhi ?
  8. But is it easier said then done in today's society, shouldn't all Sikhs be familiar in how to use firearms, close hand combat and general combat routines. Am not to sure in techniques used during Guru ji's time, but wouldn't warfare techniques develop and have evolved with demands on the battlefield ? If yes, how come we are lagging so far behind. Very few Sikhs know basic combat. Courage and bravery is a huge factor when it is needed but to be able to respond in a tactical manner is whole different thing. Also in the way things are these days, with regards to a massive focus on terrorism, would learning combat be seen as in sighting and supporting terrorism ? Or is it our fundamental right/part as Sikhs to learn? Correct me if am wrong but didnt Sikhs have to train and practice Gatka etc on a daily bases to make sure they are always conditioned. I dont understand why a massive factor of Sikhi has just been washed away/dissolved. How can we focus/discuss pointless issues and never once think am i in a condition to protect my own and others if the need be. It has shown in history that poorly trained armies only get so far, you can be the bravest of soldiers but to not train and maintain your combat readiness is foolish. Maybe because sikhs over the last few 100 years have had no need or direct combat need that we have become lazy and lackluster is our approach to combat. I dont know, think we need to take serious look into this matter, i will try and find some more information. This is a debate am not trying to start something and annoy those that think we should just ignore it. Slightly off topic: Also if you didnt know, the Iraq elite army was trained by a Singh. I watched an interview when the whole iraq thing kicked off, even then he said that he has trained the army in such away that this war will go on for years even decades. I written down his name somewhere il have to hunt it down.
  9. We all know that we are supposed to be warrior saints. Think we have the saint part covered in depth. What about the warrior side, what makes you a warrior ? What does a modern warrior have to train in, arts to learn ? I cant find anything any where to illustrate what is a modern Sikh warrior, okay i know some are going to have kittens over the " modern " part. But think about it alot has changed from the days of our Guru ji's we cant just swing swords in todays combat.
  10. going off topic slightly. Sunnybondsingh84 Veer, where's this quote from "All I want is Justice for my brothers and sisters who have suffered the Hindu Terrorism, which is not possible in this Hindustan. For our Gurus have also said, to tyrannize is a sin, BUT to withstand tyranny is sinister. So Khalsa Ji, be ready to punish these tyrants with your own hands. "
  11. Arggghhhhh, not again. This sort of stuff makes me wanna arrghhhhh. Trying to stay calm, okay breathing. I work with this muslim lad, and we have various debates from football to political. Very rarely do you get a young muslim guy willing to diverse in debates. He once said to me that you will only know how i feel about iraq and afgan when your own people are being killed, raped and beaten as my brothers and sisters are in iraq by the west (usa and uk etc). I can sooo understand what he means, my brothers are being beaten by Hindu mods, because why ? because they dont agree with our religion?. I dont think the hindus in the uk have the nerve to try it. Very little we can do unless we are in India.
  12. Iv heard of it, just not got around to watching it. Will have to fly through video store 2mrw.
  13. I was one of a few 1000 that were invited to the pilot, didn't like it much to many bugs but from what iv heard doesn't compare to second life. Its just a money spinning scheme. Why would you want a virtual life when the real world is hard enough . But then again a lot of people do use it. Its all about Call of Duty 5.
  14. Just something that pop in my head. Other religious celebrations, in this case christmas. Is there anything wrong with me saying happy Christmas to my gawndhi on Christmas day. And maybe if hes been a good gawndhi i give him a box of jalibia ? Really we are meant to respect all, regarless of what faith they follow. I should respect his faith as i do mine, no ?
  15. Cartoon aunty ji looks hot !!! lol Joke. Do they have a pic of her in a punjabi suit ? lol only messing. The guy with a turkey isnt really a sikh, so what the issue here ? Lets leave it to god to judge him. my mums aloo gubi sabji looks 100 times better then that turkey
  16. Dont know if this is the right section, but believe this is a good article to share. It was a grim time in mankind history for such horrible acts of genocide to happen. anyone know the history between Tutsis and Hutus? http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/africa/7789039.stm
  17. Hmmmm, wrong sections : has very little to do with Sikh Politics. This is more hindu related. Never the less, It is totally up to the " Hindu population " if they want to call Gandhi father of the nation. We might have certan grievens with it but its their opinion which should be respected. Unless it directly has an effect on sikhi we shouldnt get involved its not a matter for sikhs to get tied up in. Think we have better things to do. "What did he give to hindus ? " thats for the hindus to know and discuss! "U have hindu leaders like Chand Mohammad converting to Islam" Thats up to him if he wants to convert, long as it wasnt forceable no need for us to have any concerns.
  18. Could still be an old raki lol. Regardless why should we care what people wear and do. Are we not meant to be torrent of all religions and cultures ?. Someone quote "weirdo hindu rituals!", to us it might seem weird but to others it is what they believe in. Think we should respect that and carry on with our own lives. Am sure to non Sikhs some of our customs seem very weird. But thats what makes us different we Respect all people and their customs. Well in theory we should be but seems like a lot of members have forgotten that. Oh well! Also "wannab Alki" parji, i know your only trying to help the topic starter, but "you heard" is not factual, such rumours can cause problems with in the community. Rumours are a form of gossip.
  19. I totally agree with the article, the first step is always to discover and understand the problem/issues we face. Which really we all knew, the hardest problem is how are we going to resolve/fix these issues. It all good saying the problem is this and that. But to come up with a solution is much harder. So any constructive idea's?
  20. Think its has a lot to do with sikhs judging sikhs. No one exp god can judge what is right and wrong. Its when people start to argue about issues do we get different opinions and drifts. I see it in this forum everyday, others judging and commenting on topics like they know all and only their opinion is right. We should not be so concerned in uniting sikhs how about uniting mankind. We are all equals, we are no more important then any other living member of this earth. we are some sense seriously lacking leadership. A shame really we havent develop in ourselves to support one and another.
  21. Regardless, of what some members might think. All topics are equally as important. We are meant to be like a family, but some treat this forum as a means of judging/dissing others/requests. If you dont like the topic subject, dont get involved! simple as that. We should be encouraging members to ask anything and everything. This whey topic might have no interest or be important to you in your life, that doesn’t make it okay for you to dismiss it. Have we learnt nothing ?. What would Guru Ji do if this question was asked ?
  22. All Whey proteins contain animal fats / ingredient. You should use Soyer Protein.
  23. Missed most of it . Only caught the last 15mins. Hate the way people ring up with no knowledge just looking for an argument. Nihal needs to use the mute button lol.
