(iv also heard that reheras shud be done cupla hours before sunset itself) 1pm to wayy too early for reheraas man!!! and sohela, is for 9pm-12am peher. reheraas as jus >reading bani, is fine to do any time tho.. cuz its jus bani.. timings are importent. thas y amritvela is in the morning. n not the evening.

what u can do is tie ur hair in the keski.. that works wanders. no gunjalzz, and keeps keski on ur head get a nice material, about 3.5 meters, and use that. tie one part in ur hair, then tie the rest of the keski wen u go round n round. patkas are not the answer.

gurbani is the only ardaas you need. gurbani has the ardaas inside there. that is the true aim of a sikh's ardaas, >any<thing else is mun mut. andthing you ever need to say to guru G is in bani.. take hukamnama, and guru G will tell u what ardaas to do.. so do that ! :D although, it will defeate the object of doing ardaas cuz, "har, antarjami, subh bidh jaanai!.. (hau kis pehe aakh sunaayaae)" and, tan mun hoae nihaal ja gur dekha saamne, well.. u only get nihaal if u have nothing in ur mun! this is what a gursikhs aint shud be.. to say, guru G, u know whats in my mun, i dont need to ask anyhting, you will provide. i believe you get affected cuz u care. all u gota do is increase ur shield, i.e. ur bani, so that things around dont affect you that u dont want them to.. normally it takes 40 days for somthing to get into your life, so try a lifestyle change / more bani / a specific bani for this amount of time. do not go to park, i.e. do not run away from ur problems, call ur problems, 'ploblemz' in ur mind! thas what i do! its soo funny, the more u cay this word, the funnier it is! ask urself, 'whas ma ploblem!' n say it a few times to urself. it workes with me. the fact that u are more open to the world, and are able to search the world around you using ur feelings, is more of an indication that u are special than anything.!... i know people that are like you, and get affected more than other ppl, but its not a ghatta. its nt a bad thing. botom line is, it is hard to control, and at a yongue age, u have these problems. but as u get older, with the help of bani as a catalyst, u will control it, and excell amazingly. research "emotional empathy", and "emotional empath". spiritually, it is possible to get to a stage wher u can control the feelings of other people. to beauty.. most people dont realise that they have benn given this gift.. cutting the dead part of finger nails, and the combing out the dead part of hair, is fine.. as is popping a hair etc.. if its dead, its dead.. but hair is importent in sikhi, as we jup naam with it. so it is 'disposed of' properly. in water, or fire. i dont do this tho.. i shud tho! (seems to be a reccuring theme: ;/ ) purposefully pulling hair out is not the way as that hair has the potential to help u jup naam too. "...rom rom ravya har naam..." .

oh, and, jus to add, khalsa are those that fight all the time.. khalsa so jo kare nit jung. we are to fight eminies. emenimies, come in all forms. and we cant just go to battle, without proper training. this is basic logic. the training for the mind is to wake up early in the morning. a physical test that lets your train for battles. to learn to fight with your own mind in the form of fighting away your sleep, is the base that sikh peole should do. from this, self control is learned. then, one learns how to concentrate away problems of the mind. i.e. kaam. and other things. and this is getting up at AV (amritvela) and doing naam simran / the 5 bania. tbh, i dont get up AV, used to tho, (and shud get bak into it!) and, it is somthing that i recoment to all! learn to fight with yourself, in the eaisest of ways (tho its a challange) then fight with yourself with the bigger problems. which are the 5 rog of this body. plus nindya.. guru G equates nindya to as bad as being a bajjar kurehet if u read bani carefully... jus to add.. gurfateh

people here fail to understand what a sanbandhi is. with marage, we are supposed to jup naam with our sanbandhi. and jupping naam with love, is the key. a question i hav posed on this website ages ago, (only cuz iw as posed with it too - and i answered it) was, how is one supposed to look at a person as their daughter sister/ bro etc, then, marry them n do what needs to be done to have kids? lastly, people that feel that they will die without a specific person, they feel the love. the love shud be there. most people dont understand the difference between love and atachment. on one hand we have preet prem, pyaar, on the other we have hoh, laalach and kaam. people with marrage shud learn to tell the diference.. defo.

these rehetname are not gospel. i read them, and jus think, well.. wth.. thats rong, thas silly.. things like, non-ATz cant do seva, / serve ATz etc.. wthel.. anything that will take u to sikhi, towards your guru, do that! and i take it that you feel that you want to wear a bana (assuming your the non-AT) cuz u feel that u want to take a step forward to sikhi. so id say, yes, wear it. plus, at akj smagams, i see lots of non-ATz wearing a bana. etc.. however, wearing a bana, is to stand out from the crowd. and ifsum 1 (however rare these days!) is in truble, are you ready to help them etc? having posed this question to you, i know that lots of ATz are not ready to sacrifice what they need to, even if they like to stand out form the crowd.. buti suspect these kind of people are rare. i suspect that even non ATz wud try to help a person in need! wearing a bana is standing out of the crowd. do so with pride,and the knowledge that you are now, in service to the sangat. our ultimate bana, is our rehet. kes and kakaar. we can wear whatever needs to be worn.. they just clothes. i personally, preffernot to crawattention to myself. but i will always stand up for whats right, even if they conflict with my beliefs (however rare )

with reheaas. there are 5 parts to it so dar, so purakh, benti chaupi, anand sahib, and mundavani.. each part can be extended as much as u want, but never reduced. (as always). its good to have a base.. btw, yes, bani is good to do lots. but it guruG has said, that within one matra of gurbani, we can tar, then, its best to spent the time in meditation on each akhar. :D so just by doing lots of banis, its not the answer. the veechaar in the bani, is the thing. and its all on the shabad. anhad shaabad, aka dargaahi keertan. the 5 bania have so much power, and the 5 sections in reheraas. but sumtimes, wen we start in amrit (after becoming amritdhari), or start doing the 5 bania, we cannot access the power.. hence, we need to do alot more bania. slowly, the power will be felt. this is the whole reason we do shabad jaap of a shabad in bani.. or in keertan.. in bani, sumtimes, pl say its good to do 40 / 41 etc days... thas cuz thats the time that it shud take you to get that bani inside yourself. or, thats the time that the bani takes to reach as deep as it can inside you. whatever level your avastha (spiritual level) is on. partakh mahapurash are a different story.. they are one with god, and are the saroop of shabad.. but this, sum ppl myt not understand totally.. but its ok.. this bit dont matter all that much.. my point is, doing lots of bani helps. but this doesnt mean that if sum 1 just do the 5 bania, they are less than ppl who do lots of bania. however, doing bani, gives you gifts that must be treated with respect. and thus, these gifts are to be used to further oneself in their avastha. and depending on how much u vibrate with the shabad, the vibration lasts xyz period of time.. if your guru G is thert with you, well u defo know that the vibration will be there. and never ending so yh.. most prob the reason why they dodnt do prayers int he day time.. or, they were just in battels :PP and, the point that we do bani in morning, is that so we ahave the rest of the day free to get on with what we are supposed to do.. as in, go along with the world, but not get into it. kamaa the universe, but be ready to giv it back to guru G.. >sub saump gur ko < fateh G
