  1. might i just add this guy needs a whole new set of emoticons with puking and chunks going ALL OVER his ogly face the sick ****
  2. as a person just beginning to understand shastars that is some nifty collection there! stunning swords, koftgari, kyoool :TH:
  3. no offence but i'm not really a theatre or even cultured person so where abouts in the city centre is the rep? must've driven past there eough times- is it near the icc? broad st? the media like the bbc are prbably going to give it good press since its anti-sikhi so the alst thing we need would be any silly antics by apnae outside the theater lets not give in and do the behzti she wants- a peaceful but loud protest in a public area will do nicely
  4. i say more power to him :TH: after decades of seeing skanky mumbai-an actors with dead rodents strapped to their faces acting like sikhs are nothing but dhol-playing drunks, terrorists & criminals that also do a bit of idol worship when they get some spare time from their dhol-playing, drinking, terrorism and crime- this is GOOD to see  ))))
  5. got my name changed via good old deed poll to put singh after my first name & remove surname my dad (still got the old putt jatta da mentality)... had some concerns- let me put it that way
  6. i'd go back like a shot- it's OUR land mankind can stick it's manmade borders wherever it wants but the land remains the same beautiful place where our Gurus graced the Earth. Main problem being how long would an outspoken person last in a country that denies you freedom of speech? the police'd be happy to add this fake encounter to thaeir books  oh well its sad they're not going to get the chance- Peace
  7. bigging up all the different federations for the sewa over the years it takes guts to stand up and to fight oppressive tyrants it takes guts to argue human rights in india is as non-existant as it is uk and usa were WRONG to ban them since they had no proof and could NOT justify their decision- what so-called democracies are these that allow human rights abuses to continue in india because it has economic power or zimbabwe because it is a third-world country so who cares and yet when iraq was doing the same it was a big deal- nothing to do with oil? president mugabe and indhira and rajiv gandhi were any lesser tyrants than saddam?
  8. This is a topic very close to my heart At grammar school i was in the A-team School Rugby Team for 4 and a half years playing against other schools up and down the country on saturdays and sundays. I was very successful as a second-row forward but after so long playing for the team- the coach told me i could not wear a Kara even though it was tiny (this one i wore for rugby was wire-thin which i bought from the shop outside Darbar Sahib complex) He didn't mind my patka after i proved in the first year it wasn't going to come off as i said why don't you come over and try to to take it off Anyway i didn't back down and neither did he so i was pushed out of the squad and i wasn't awarded colors/awards that year for my contribution in rugby, he even tried to badmouth me to other staff and students but everyone knew what i was like so it didn't work- i got to take saturdays off and played basketball instead  Stand up for yourself even if it means missing out on things that you intially value most -especially because when you look back on these issues; you'll be proud Peace
  9. seriously- my dad has the hardest brick-like hands on earth but mine are like a baby's bottom- it's awful ! i was trying my best to make a note on the tabla but it was so faint you could sooner hear a pin drop i think i'm only good at the dhol because you have sticks and beat it like a caveman Stringed instruments are the instruments of the holy because of the 'thu' sound pronounced reminds us of You/Waheguru. Maybe Keyboard / Harmonium Vaja style insturments might be better suited to my soft hands- then again i'd probably end up mashing the keys some indian music teachers really know how to dent your confidence
  10. good one  naaah best form of defence is offence! or counter-attack as we soccer fans call it anyways i think to make it clear to these people that the forum sangat aint going to take this hacking jabronie-ness we should use the same scare tactics on them- the servers and our home PCs should be firewalled up trojan software they may be using or could be used on them include "Subseven" or "NetBus" the sangat on the forum are not mindless hackers like them and are just people trying to share a portal to educate and learn about our religion off each other. However if someone's computer or server gets messed with then at the very least you have the right to publish as much info as you wish on those persons responsible Anyways the real Protector is Waheguru and may He watch over and protect the forum and it's users Peace
  11. when i was a kid i went to tabla class but couldn't really play as i had fat fingers as a kid  shut up so i ended up going to katrate class instead but i wanted to learn an instrument but the teacher said "i think you'd best learn the dhol" - dunno why! for some reason i can play the dhol but would have absolutely no reason to ever want to since i'm not even into bhangra and it's not even the sort of instrument you'd do keertan to or do for your own consumption i'd love to learn a stringed instrument but i think i'd be to stupid to learn
  12. i'm awful at maths but surely you missed out stopsingh2? if you're going to be phoning up GNNSJ and telling them where they're going wrong with the gold plating issue could you pleeeeeeeeeeease record the phone call because i'd get baaaaaare amount of laughter from it i'd be forwarding that in my emails like that kirpal you kick my dog track :
  13. totally agree  these *%#';#;[';#'.$£% people need sorting out ok- apologies- maybe i took that one percentage sign too far but what is it with people that anyone that trys to do a good deed for the panth gets kicked in the teeth stay in chaaaaardhi kala and we'll make deal with them y'all must have logs of IP addresses if not obviously need IP scanning software we need to start gathering up software so when these jokers pull a stunt put their IP addresses on a thread in the forum specifically to deal with them. Obviously IP addresses change v. regularly but there'll always be someone on the forum to deal with them at the time their IP address published. Within days; looking at the locations of their computers from the IP address you'd be able to work out if it's one person or a group or in a certain location instead of just improving your forums protection ou need to start counter-offensive and start returning like with like in this case also on a seperate issue; i'm sure there's a lot of people on the forum that really need to start putting some good security features on their home PCs like firewalls, etc. otherwise whilst using chat or forums their susceptible to IP scanning and people messing with their computers with trojans and stuff Peace
  14. First you start by attacking me personally when i've only complimented you on your superb hindsight. Secondly you say i'm living in a conspiracy-inspired world and end with one of your own Thirdly i never once said the buildings don't matter- if you read back what i said was that the reasons for which they were built in the first place matters a lot more stopsingh2 if you're not even going to read what i say then what's the point in replying? The Akal Takhat built by congress was demolished because it became a symbol showing sikhs were NOT free and were under the foot o f the brahmin government. Again as i said before the reason for the building is more important than anything else. Obviously that does NOT mean we can afford to ignore our heritage. However the Gurus left them in the hands of the Panth not anyone else as they wanted us to be independent and free from the will of other organisations and communities. The difference between your views and mine is i, like others believe the Akal Takhat and surrounding buildings should always be run and looked after the Panth. The more you bring in different organisations into the equation; the more freedoms you sign away from the Panth. i refer you back to the original message Peace
  15. this is sick muslims bulldoze mandirs, synagogues and churches and build mosques in their place and still don't allow any other community to even so much as sneeze near their premises whilst us sikhs are handing over our most sacred place on earth piece by piece badalaaaaaaaaaaaaa :
  16. What if they can only read things in English or can't read at all or write how you expect them to read the Gurbani not every Sikh is educated to read the Gurbani and can understand it. I agree people shouldn't be arguing but we should have discussions on this and help them understand and not leave them lurking on the wrong path. Had you visited the site you would've seen a line by line translation of all the bhagats Gurbani totally agree that constructive discussions help put people on the right path but i was actually speaking about certain pro-caste people that were consistently visiting sikhi sites & forums to push their pro-caste agenda- these certain few people are just pushing their own pro-caste agenda and are not in the slightest way interested in learning about Sikhi. Peace
  17. it all comes down to funding- smethwick and soho rd Gurughars have massive sangats and greater strength in obtaining grants from councils as the money is used to support the local community in some way. I wish smethwick was half as good as soho road Gurughar in getting grants for this type of thing! Soho rd have more supporters in the local regeneration, community and council departments like planning than smethwick have in the sandwell council Nuff respect to SYCC  and local projects run by youth for youth- in the big scheme of things these are the most important as they bring more naujawans into Sikhi and yet ironically they're often the least funded
  18. When it comes to people still trapped under the caste regime it is best for them to refer to the Gubani specifically written by the Bhagat contributors to the SGGS as many were high caste, many were low but all were vehement on providing gian to northern india on the riculous nature of the caste regime that the people were allowing to be imposed upon them- most if not all their Gurbani can be seen at: http://SikhLionz.com/bhagatz.htm If people want to argue- let them waste away their lives in ignorance of the gian avaliable from Gurbani If they have decided not to liberate themselves of worldly man-made bondages then don't waste your breath- let them close their minds to knowledge and find what is lurking on the path that they follow Peace
  19. happee barthdae 2 jooo happeee barthdae 2 joooooooo happeee barthdae mr khalistani happeeee barthdae 2 jooo since i'm maha-ahunkari and so don't say happy birthday a lot - consider this a compliment! teri lumbeee umur hovae jooondha rae puthra rab rakha :HP:
  20. ok the software you're after is privacy software there are sites that you can use that shield your IP and allow you to surf the net using that IP of that site instead - these sites include: http://www.anonymizer.com/ http://www.secure-tunnel.com/ - you just type in the url of the site you want to go to in their toolbar which you should be able to download onto your browser there are also other types of sites that provide anonymous remailer services which mean you can send an email to whoever and that email will be remailed across many different email addresses before it reaches the destination email address- thus nobody can track the message back to you- even if they got back to the right email address you won't be signed up for it and they'll unlikely have your IP especially if you use anonymizer.com too. There is also certain software for sending bulk emails- good if you want to send mr gill a hundred emails telling him he's been a naughty boy it's all good- am in the process of testing out a few and will give some feedback on the better software available - i don't want to reccommend any software that subsequently messes up your computers so i'll try then give y'all some urls to download them peace
  21. yourname@SikhLionz.com: http://SikhLionz.mail.everyone.net i know there are @#, etc. too and rest assured nobodies monitoring them! but these don't have the storage capacity of gmail ! maybe people should start using anonymiser and other sites and software that hide your computer info when sing the net
  22. 1) to those like "khalsafauj" that are Taksal-bashing:- Grow up we are one Panth and those that want to divide and stand alone will be the first to be conquered 2) Paji i agree we did have a lack of academics in the 1980s and this was a cause of many problems found later such as the simple fact that all intellectuals, historians and academics not to mention media and everyone else were on indian gov. payroll point is during a media blackout the western media relied on the indian intellectuals, hisorians, academics, media, etc that either worked directly in universities, media, all of which was under government control. Problem is the first thing a western or eastern punjabi does once they get educated is go into a high paid private sector job so they can ine their pockets but unfortunately have no influence whatsoever on the state or media. Our sikh intellectuals need to start putting their life's REAL kamai ahead of their salaries peace
  23. there are many sub-questions that go with this question? today compared to the late 1970s/ early 1980s: relatively who and/or what is our leadership today and how much have they united the panth? relatively how much political, economic control do sikhs have in punjab? relatively how many pooran Gursikhs are there in a) punjab & b) other countries in east c) other countries in west the only fact is 1984 is a year and there was no single static event but a systematic order of events each planned in advance to effectively use the full might of the tyrannical brahman order be it legal, political, media, military, economic, social, etc. solely against a religion the underlying causes of all of the events in and around 1984 still exist today and then many, many, more besides. sikhs have gone from wanting their basic human rights to being killed for entertaining those thoughts and are now left in a position that some people think is crystal clear- so long as you mind your own business and focus on your own family and work hard then you could live a lifetime as a sheep and hopefully avoid any future planned lynch mobs, police encounters, etc. However you'd have to spend the rest of your life knowing that in the back of your mind there'd always be that constant irritation, that splinter piercing your soul- that knowledge that you are a slave until the underlying causes of 1984 are dealt with then this issue of basic human rights for sikhs will continue to a splinter in the souls of sikhs everywhere. We can choose to try to forget about it but to do so would be accepting a portion of the blame for such genocide- what's worse a killer or a witness that refuses to come forward and take a stand? we all must do what our conscience dictates- khalsa04 i see where you're coming from- i could not live with myself if this happened again and yet this is no static random event but is one uniform, continuing, systematic program of ethnic cleansing to wipe out not just a people but a knowledge of sikhi... a knowledge that we are all essentially born free we must keep up the pressure on india and the internet is one way. Putting every facet of our religion on the net gives a sikh in india that knowledge which the government would deny him/her Peace
  24. p.s. i was thinking of adding a tees section to my site- would y'all be up 4 doing some joint tees with sikhlionz logos, pix, etc. on?
  25. have to agree on the point on Gurbani- no ik onkars, etc. please. i think it's a great idea so don't mudsling yourselves by putting inappropriate stuff on the tees. As no sikh worships photos or pictures it's ok to put images of whosoever on the tees but not Gurbani. Pictures are pictures and will always get disrespected- if one goes down that route one could argue that the person creating paintings, photos is doing even more disrespect than anyone else as they know it will be distributed ad infinitum. My point- sikhi isn't about the phoney pictures, photos or rituals - they just add to the irony of life
