we can't have a Sikh nation in the near future as we are divided right now but till the time we get united, r we gonna not teach life the sikh way to new generation we should set up some internationally recognised system of studies for sikh children pull chuk maff Waheguru ji ka khalsa! I always wonder we Sikhs dont have any Sikh system of studies in any countries ....we maybe having loads of Sikhs schools but they all overall teach as per the requirements of local governments.... Like in india, the syllabus is decided by a stateboard, where millions other things are added...y we need teaching history of moghuls? gandhi , akbar, world war I 'n world war II 'n american revolution 'n blah blah y can't we have our own Sikh history books in the school with the primary focus on our roots then other rubbish??? :wub: Waheguru ji ka khalsa! He was alright and very positive in everything expect one ...well that time I felt its just me who is feeling uncomfortable with a few of his comments because wen I discussed it with 1 of my mates there, they didn't pay any attention on concerns ... His views were like that we need a dynamic leader other than Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji who can actually lead us to conquer the world or something on the similar lines ...don't remember it exactly though The person was Ok overall but he was treating sri guru granth sahib ji not that powerful compared to the leader of his imaginations ... thats wot I made out of his that leader bit........ He also sed that he used to admire sant Bhindrawale but we need some kind of leader who can teach the folks not to sacrifice our lives while fighting against enemy but let the enemy die for his land or some thing ..he said dead people never are considered winners Waheguru ji ka khalsa! The picture below show a example of 17th Century khanda. Note the whole symbol takes its name from this sword. Secondly , there are a pair of Kirpans, these are curved swords. Guru Hargobind used to carry two kirpans , one he called miri and the other one piri. Hence these are the names of the kirpans on the khanda. Lastly the chakker or the ring. This is an interesting weapon also known as the chakram - if you search the internet for chakram its interesting because you will get a lot of hits on ZENA the Warrior - tv series. Of course its the same weapon she uses plus a bit of magic.
