Had an American approach me & my wife a few days ago whilst in town. He also said to me that he was sorry for what happened in Wisconsin (he wasn't from that area but was from another area where there is a Sikh population so he is aware of who we are) and said that it was very sad. Had a short chat about the state of the world and how nutters come in all shapes and forms before he left. Probably not the place to mention it but what slightly amused me afterwards was that he was eating from a McDonald's bag and he was heading to the gym with his gym kit when he approached us.

Finally got to watch this and I agree, this needs to be shown in every Gurudwara up and down the country. People need to be made aware of what goes on and make them more vigilant to predatory forces.

About time. I found myself getting really annoyed at some old uncle at the Gurdwara recently. He was sat right behind and as the paath was going on, his phone rang. That was bad enough (he could have cancelled the call straight away) but what annoyed me more was the fact that he answered it and started talking in a loud voice, telling his matey on the line that he was at the Gurdwara. I turned around to look at him and gave him a dirty look and shortly afterwards he stopped the convo. You would have thought that a "syana" would not do stuff like that but I've seen it happen countless times before. If their convo is more important than listening to paath, then they should take it outside where it belongs. Mobile phones don't have any place inside the Gurdwara IMO.

There may be people with sympathies towards the EDL on here, however I am not one of them. I think they're a disgrace, their "leader" is an utter <banned word filter activated> (did anyone read about his Twitter debacle?? Or the fact that he defended Breivik's actions?!) and the entire group cannot distinguish one brown face from another. As far as they are concerned, they are against ALL Muslims, not just extremist Muslims. They like to think that they support the troops and the royal family, yet many a time their members are seen to throw Nazi salutes.
