  1. WJKK WJKF!! First of, before i say my opinion... Posh_jatti: your opinions are lagit, however, the critisism from you i don't take very seriously because of your previous and current signature. Please, if you want to critise, take a look at yourself before doing it. Advertising punjabi hit squad (wanabe-gangsters) is a little questionable. Akaal108: Your a very good speaker, easily can influence other. I'm looking forward to more of your posts and replies. Now my opinion. Please, if your going to act young and naive then do it, just don't wear any sikhi symbols and dio it at the same time. As for the indian flag behind the guy, why does it matter? A user here was right when he said that not everyone is Khalistani. Again back to the two pictures - it's hard to tell if they are sikhs or not.
  2. I converted to sikhi, and i have been enjoying it since 5 months ago. I fell in love with sikhism after looking more deeply into it. I'm progressing quickly, the first day i came out of hiding, i stopped watching tv (except news), threw most of my computer games in the garbage, and became a vegetarian. Of course i still need more time, i still have to track down the 5 k's and learn how to pray to waheguru (if that's right). -Khalsa Starr
  3. Not the birht the realization of Khalsa. Birth eventually leads to death, the Khalsa will never die.
  4. Aren't women and men supposed to be equal? Remember, from women come men and son on and so forth.
  5. It's probably because everyone has agreed with each other on the topic and it doesn't require anymore debate. Sant Jarnial was is a good sikh, nuff said...
  6. Girls don't really have any good reason why to wear flashy cloths or revealing cloths. Guy's don't have any reason to wear gangster style cloths and not head cover. This is a sacred event, let's keep it that way. Note to one user here: why do you think od such horrible scenarios??
  7. WJKK WJKF!! A few friends of mine have mentioned that i should atend an event called "keertan samagam" however, i have been searching all over the internet and haven't found anything that is near surrey bc. I would very much like to atend this event, but i need to know the schedule and times. If anyone knows, please reply. Note: It was supposed to happen in May around the 14 and i will be going to vancouver around then.
  8. ok, here: "Do we ever hear about Christians having abortions?" We already now about this, why are we pointi g fingers?
  9. I did read all the posts. I see pointi g the finger and slandering nearly the same. I guess we should then call these ppl who commit these acts as not "True" sikhs? That is what i usually call other sikhs who cut their hair and dink anchahol. Got it now.
  10. Oky, since i'm new i'll take your advice, i know a couple that look a little suspicious to me...
  11. I should have said "pointing the finger" instead of slanderi. Whatever word, it's still wrong. What wopuld you say to those who have experienced gender prejiduce?? Sowhat's YOUR solution to stop this from happening. I'm not blameing ourselves for these things however, we need to make sure it won't ever happen again. K?
  12. Because it is still happening, quit denying it and accept it. We can deal with the problem only when ppl actually admit there is a problem. Denying only lets the problem keep going. Remember, admiting there is a problem is the first step in solving a situation. It's pointless to try and solve these problems when you say only another religion is doing this stuff. It's like pointing a finger to someone else, when you yourself have the same situation. If your still denying it, just remember murphy's law. Sorry to sound so harsh Shaheed, but users bring up these topics because it is happening. The topic may not be pretty or be idealistic, but these problems need to be addressed and tajen care of, not just swept under the rug. It's time to start admiting there are problems and fix them. If the world and everyone did that, the world wouln't be so messed up. What's happeing instead? Everyone's pointing fingers at everyone else but at the same time not paying attention to there actions. And by the way, we are not supposed to be slandering other religions.
  13. KHALISTAN ZINDABAAD however... If Khalistan is built upon the blood of hindus and muslims (others as well), i will not move to khalistan. Some say it is inetivable, however, i dont buy that theory that ppl must die for others belief that things will suddenly be netter. Until i see some serious action to lessen poverty and improve ppl lies better, i'll reserve my praise. I think others will agree, bu i must say it again: KHALISTAN ZINDABAAD KHALISTAN ZINDABAAD KHALISTAN ZINDABAAD KHALISTAN ZINDABAAD!!!!
  14. With somel those sikh sects trying to get at the same goal, Khalistan is a no go. To many divisions. However one user was right when he said they where derailed.
  15. Nuff said, now lets' move on and make things better now.
  16. no offense bro, but are you talking gangster? couse i see a lot of that on other forums i'm on and that's not sikhi, sorry bro. and by the way what's up with the msn messenger appearance names?
  17. Khalistan is not our prioity yet. Our youth and the way we operate the gurdwara and unity is first needed before taking on such a big project.
  18. Let's just admit it Hindu's, sikhs, and muslims are guilty of all sorts of bad things lets not point fingers and just accept the fact that each religion at one point or another had done something wrong. Nuff said, now we should be dealing with today and for the future. Instead of looking back in the past. If we keep on blaming each other, we will never get Khalistan...
  19. or you can get it from me, i use it all the time.
  20. yes, finally someone said it, this is not a hindus against sijh issue. Just becasue the govt may be a hindu oriented group, doesnt mean that they speak for everyone. I myself respact all religions and races.
  21. right, because they probbaly don't know how much pain and suffering it might cause. On top of that, with Khalistan having an uncertain future, who will want to live in it? Just take a look at some other countries that have one indapendance, are they doing much better? for the mostcase no. As for unity, i have always know that the muslim community is a little more organized than some other egions. However, their not perfect. I think a good start for unity is streamlining Gurdwaras, and replace his silly elections. They often create contraversy and upset indaviduals. If the gurdwaras are under one rule, then it might be easier controling opinion and the way sikhs worship. Also, it could help curb the breakaway factor when someone gets to contrling and demanding. It won't be easy and it would probably take a couple of years to come into effect, but it might have a few good results Another suggestion, we need to start more private sikh schools in north america and uk. I know of one in Vancouver called Khalsa School. some ppl call it isloation from the world, but look at what happens when out youth mix up with the wrong crowds? Some of our sikh youth don't attend gurdwara as much and some are wannabe gangsters. Private sikh scholls wont solve eveythibng, but it might encourage the youth to be more spirtual awareness.
  22. becasue you will eventually have to think about the infrusttucture at some point. Why not start niw to build it up to good standards. This will also include lessening poverty and building school,a ndn roads and etc. All these things make people feel better and feel that they are part of a good country. If we don't and just leave it them to do it themselves ppl will start asking question on whether it was all worht it to build a khalistan. Infrustructure and econemy is not everything, but these things when well taken care of tend to make ppl feel better about themselves. Its a rather small and overlooked matter by these khalistan groups, however, evem the littlest of issues can come back and hart you. As for unity, it's not in the forseable future, we also have other more important issues than khalistan right now.
  23. this is why we need to stream line our gurdwara around the world. Instead of having these silly elections, they seem to create more harmm than good in some cases. There needs to be a organization that does this, in the end it might create a more unified sikhism. Depending on the principles and attitudes of whicj each gurdwara followes.
