http://www.tribuneindia.com/2011/20110413/main4.htm Namdhari leader shot dead near Bhaini Sahib Shivani Bhakoo and Gurminder Grewal Tribune News Service Ludhiana/Bhaini Sahib, April 12 Two unidentified persons today shot dead 57-year-old Avtar Singh Tari, a staunch follower of Satguru Jagjit Singh Ji of Bhaini Sahib (about 25 km from here) on the Ludhiana-Chandigarh highway. Based at Mohali, Avtar Singh, belonging to the Namdhari sect, was a frequent visitor to Bhaini Sahib. According to available information, Avtar Singh started from Mohali this morning in his Toyota Altis car. On the way he was followed by three persons on a Pulsar bike. Fearing a threat to life, Avtar Singh stopped at an acquaintance's place near Kohara. After staying there for about 15-20 minutes, when he resumed his journey to Bhaini Sahib, the unidenified persons on the motorbike, who were waiting for him, started firing at him from point-blank range. According to witnesses, the bullets were pumped straight into his chest, head, stomach and thighs and he died on the spot. The body of Avtar Singh was sent to Civil Hospital, Ludhiana for the postmortem. The police recovered 11 empty cartridges from the spot. The Police Commissioner Ishwar Singh, who was camping at Bhaini Sahib till the filing of this report, said, "The situation is under control and the investigations are on. Forensic experts have taken the empty cartridges to find which weapon was used by the assailants for committing the crime". The case under Sections 302/34/120 B (IPC) and 25/54/59 of the Arms Act has been registered against three unidentified persons at the Sahnewal police station. One of the sewadars at Bhaini Sahib gurdwara, on the condition of anonymity, said that the deceased is survived by one son and two daughters. "Basically, Avtar Singh belonged to village Amrasaar in Sirsa district and was into the property dealing business. He was a staunch follower of Satguru Jagjit Singh Ji. Though it is too early to say anything but we believe that the murder is the outcome of a personal rivalry. Some sophisticated weapon seems to have been used by the assailants", said the sewadar.

Won’t review Sikh blacklist: Govt Varinder Walia Editor, Punjabi Tribune Toronto, June 26 Tremendous pressure from the Sikh community notwithstanding, India today said it won’t review the ‘blacklist’ of radicals, who had taken political asylum in foreign countries, including Canada. This assumes significance on the eve of two-day G-20 Summit, scheduled to begin here from tomorrow. Immediately after Prime Minister Manmohan Singh — accompanied by his wife, Gursharn Kaur — landed atToronto, the spokesperson of the Foreign Affairs Ministry stated that there was no room for reviewing the blacklist of those who had indulged in anti-India activities, at least in the near future. The Prime Minister Office (PMO) was under pressure from the Sikh community worldwide to allow the blacklisted persons to join the mainstream. President of Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC), Parmjit Singh Sarna had submitted a written request to the PMO that the representatives of the Sikhs should be invited by the PM in Toronto during his visit to find some solution to the longstanding demand of the community. The NRI Sikhs had also promised to suspend their proposed protest during Manmohan Singh’s visit if they were given time to discuss the matter. Around 100 blacklisted hardliners had taken political asylum in Canada, Germany, USA, UK and other countries. Some efforts were made to review the blacklist during the NDA government also. The PM is unlikely to meet any representative of the hardliners due to his firm stand against international terrorism. Also, meeting radicals would send a wrong signal at this crucial juncture. Only two months ago, Manmohan Singh had conveyed his firm stand on the activities of separatist forces to his Canadian counterpart when they met in USA for 30 minutes. Meanwhile, the PM would be paying a visit to the memorial for Kaniskha victims on June 28. A Foreign Ministry spokesperson said the matter relating to extradition of five Sikh militants, whose names figured in the list of top 20 after attack on the Indian Parliament in 2001, could not be taken up during the bilateral talks between Foreign Secretary Nirupma Rao and her Pakistani counterpart in Islamabad recently. Replying to another query, the spokesperson said Pakistan was likely to declare India as “Most Favoured Country” to promote import and export between the two neighbours. Sikh reply

the ones I saw were old kirtan cd's and like books of him talking about anand karaj, but there was lot I didn't see it all, it was straight basti though when the guy was yelling, but something has to be done, because when people see even his old cd's like their going to think ohh he's a "good smart guy" and we should listen to what he also has to say about Sri Dasam Granth, thats why some people listen to his bakwas because his older cd's were not like the bakwas he does now and the guy was selling them at a stand outside the gurdwara next to other stands, I don't think Stockton Gurdwara knew about it, they are full Panthic
