  1. I think it's good to create health awareness, Kira ji , Don't know if they talk about it in India, but I don't see what's wrong if they do. If it helps somebody then why not discuss it?
  2. Noji there's no need to die. Maybe consider with your husband to buy your own home if you can afford it and if it's getting too much to cope with. Are the other sons married? But you are in India and I'm not sure how things work there if moving out is easy or not. Is there any way your family can help? im afraid your husband is stuck in the middle and it must be difficult for him too, so has given into them. I don't know what else to say penji. The hatred is making you bitter towards life, but don't be depressed, you go to work n study right? See you are strong and brave and are achieving something which other women who are at home and don't have that opportunity in India. Give your husband some space, and keep praying to God to help you through this. Have you tried being nice to your sas? When was the last time you both had a laugh? Even with your husband, when did you both spend quality time together? Take some time out for maybe a picnic or shopping and build on your relationship, then tackle the other problems when your relationship is stronger. You have to take care of yourself, don't worry, without communication it's not going to get better. Keep honsla penji, all will fall into place, don't give up on Guruji, maybe you could stay at your parents for a break? And then go back and see if the break made any change. Being stuck in one situation is not good, do you have any friends to talk to? How is your concentration in doing paat? Are you being distracted because of the household problems? Keep ur mind strong and focused on Gurbani throughout the difficult times.
  3. Penji it can be very difficult to live with a mother in law that does not understand. You seem to be doing a lot as you say, and still it is depressing you. I think she is not understanding that you work and study too. You need to have time for rest and spend time with your husband too, as you are not a servant, but a daughter in law, and should be treated Same as a daughter, you are also a wife, and probably a sister in law, depending on other siblings of your husband, and a future- to-be-mother. Therefore it is vital that you live in your home, and others have to be a part of joint effort, teamwork to make a family a strong and happy and fair one. As Preet ji says discuss it with your husband and negotiate some things. Guruji is Ang sang . By the way, are you in India or abroad?
  4. Your husband should help you, share the housework and assist you with things you cannot manage. Is there any lady in your inlaws that can help you or teach you ways to make housework easier for you? Do you work or study also? Does your sas help with the housework?
  5. Changing what you drink. Drinks containing caffeine (for example, tea, coffee, hot chocolate and cola) make urge incontinence worse. This is because caffeine is a natural diuretic. Diuretics are chemicals that make you need to pass urine. If you drink a lot of caffeine-containing fluids then consider switching to decaffeinated alternatives. Some answers to tea questions can be found in already discussed topic: http://www.sikhsangat.com/index.php?/topic/74405-tea/ This method can be used to take out some caffeine, I sometimes use it: http://m.wikihow.com/Decaffeinate-Tea
  6. I assume the same reason as karah prasad, its sukha prasad. Some Raagis have Mishri, when doing kirtan to Sooth and sweeten the mouth also.http://sikhism.about.com/od/glossary/g/Prashad.htm Sorry ji a bit off topic, but about karah prasad, which is a blessing of the Guru.
  7. Hanji it effects people in different ways. Good to hear you are doing better. Depends on how much one drinks in order for the side effects to take place. http://www.livestrong.com/article/439978-what-are-the-side-effects-of-drinking-tea/#page=1 http://www.m.webmd.com/vitamins/ai/ingredientmono-997/black+tea/source-3 Some people are more sensitive to it than others, so if there are any symptoms then one should take a look at their tea/coffee consumption to see if it's causing them.

  10. Yes, Pg tips but didn't like th taste. Bit more expensive than the normal. Here's how they take out the caffeine, from somebody's blogspot. I haven't put the link on as they may mind. "Dear Sally, Thank you for your email. The solvent extraction process for decaffeination involves the tea leaves being 'washed' in a solvent that removes almost all of the caffeine. The tea leaves are then dried and packed in the ordinary fashion. If steam treatment is used to remove the caffeine, it is inevitable that some of the other water soluble components will be removed at the same time, notably the water soluble antioxidant flavonoids which contribute to the taste and the leaves' antioxidant activity. We intend that the black tea leaf blend in PG Decaf provides you with a tea infusion that has the taste you would expect to find in cup of standard PG tips tea. Similarly, we intend that PG Decaf continues to give you a brew that is rich in antioxidant flavonoids. While taste is obviously a matter of personal preference, we know we could not make any claim about antioxidant flavonoids if the caffeine had been removed from the leaves using a water based steam treatment. As I am sure that you will appreciate, the exact process carried out by PG is commercially sensitive but I do hope that this gives you a better understanding of the methodology and our reasoning. Kind regards, Zaheed Khan Careline Advisor I then e-mailed back asking them which solvent was used in the process and the reply was as follows - Dear Sally, Thank you for your continued correspondence. I can confirm that the the typical solvent of choice for PG tips is Dichloromethane. If I can be of any further help or assistance, then please do not hesitate to contact me. Kind regards, Christopher Fortune Careline Advisor "

That's good paji, every soul goes through these issues, its not easy to admit when somebody has a problem and you are brave to have admitted it and seeked the help. I was reading a sakhi yesterday, which is inspiring. I will find it.
  14. @Keeping it real ji, I don't think everybody is making out they have them, it's a discussion only from what knowledge they have. There's also a difference between Akaal shaktis and ridhi sidhi. So you enlighten us on what they are ji, as sounds like you have some knowledge. Riḏẖ siḏẖ sabẖ moh hai nām na vasai man ā▫e. 16. If you read the Forum Rules and Guidelines there is a paragraph under Admin:"Meat: SikhSangat.com holds an Anti-Meat stand. We feel that eating meat is immoral, unlawful and simply wrong according to the teachings of Guru Granth Sahib jee. There have been numerous debates on this topic and both sides of the party have voiced their opinion ever since 2001. 17. Agree Kira ji. Why add a Sikh spin to it when it's not even a Sikhi ocassion. It's more cultural and what people have grown up with. I've never judged anybody over what they celebrate, but some people go OTT too. I saw a picture on somebody's Facebook tagged, having a rakhri tied, but had a few big wads of notes in front. I thought "gosh some people like to splash out and show it off too", was not impressed
  18. Don't the schools give a menu and source of the food? As our relatives kids get them and it gives information of the sources. One could as them directly.
  19. I heard and agree with it that when the soul is more pure than affected by the 5 thieves that one gets visions via dreams, a kind of pre-notification. Some people get ahankar when this happens and lose the gift, rather to stay humble.
