Today we have a news in Punjabi Spokesman criticizing publication of "Prachin Panth prakash" written by Ratan singh bhangu(sometimes aroung 1860-1870) .The contention of the writer of the news article is that it contains derogatory and anti Gurmat ideas attributed to Baba Banda Singh ji . Ihave read the book from 1st to last page , the comments ascribed are to an extent true, but (I) the SGPC has been publishing the book since long the preface clearly describing that the book is completely unabridged ie no part has been deleted , the editing of only matras and missing letters in mss have been undertaken which means that the editors and the publishers have tried to put the book before public as it was written by the author. the author hailing from the family of Bhai Mehtab Singh (who was part of the duo who killed Massa Ranghar in Darbar Sahib ) was a good source of sikh history during his lifetime, agreeing some of the incidents described by him may not be true, he may have personal bias against some sects (as the Spokesman team too has), but we cannot dismiss every word written by the author. most of all , like Joginder Singh , Kala Afgana and likes , Ratan Singh bhangu too had the right to speak, write and express what he thought correct.Is not it the double standard being shown by the people named above ? they dismiss all the historic works of sikh history , be it Suraj Prakash , Guru Mahima , Mahima Prakash, Guru Bilas , Panth Prakash . Even I myself do consider some of the incidents described in these books incorrect, but cannot deny the importance of these books as valuable source of sikh history. Does these guys at work in The Spokesman think that they are the only learned people (past present and Future ) born in Sikh Families Sorry if some one finds my views offeding WJKK WJKF

Che was not a weakling, he was a determined person committed fully to the ideology of his choice, did not like to immerse himself into comforts of life, even when he got them, till the end of his life, struggled for the spread of the communism . such committed persons are very rare , are real heroes and we can learn from him what the commitment means (ON establishment of communist rule in Cuba under the leadership of Castro, he was offered the rank of Minister in the Govt, but he chose to venture into south american land and work for spread of communism there, he was caught by the CIA and tortured to death .

Aj da furman from Sri Amritsar sahib ji, & sri Abchal Nagar hajoor Sahib is alredy available on Telly, net etc, Further we can down load the sroop of Guru Sahib ji in pdf format , do the paath daily and with all the devotion take the furman every day So i donot think its as big issue now a days . further recitation of gurbani and followingthe teachings in letter and spirit is our sacred duty, if we do not recite (read) gurbani, how can we understand and follow ? So reading gurbani when ever & wherever possible (of course with all the due respect- not the ritualism is essential part of sikhi, doit the way it is convinient keeping in view and practising satkar of bani thanx, fogive if hurts anybody

Reply to original question posed by moneysingh000 :- as per the sikh rehat maryada published by the SGPC(accepted by the panth after due deliberations between the learned pepple frm across all sects , and suggeations recieved through different means) Chaupai to be read in Amrit Sanchar is the same as you described i e upto Dust dokh te lehu bachai . So it is ok as I feel . if you want further research , plz refer to mahan kosh by Bhai Kahan Singh ji , encyclopaedia of Sikhism (available on line ) and different rehat namas like thayt of Bhai Daya Singhji (one of the Panj pyares), Bhai Chaupa Singh Ji and Bhai Nand lal Singh Ji(both Contemporaries of Guru Gobind Singh ji

Mool mantra and its jaap is just a reminder to us about the very qualities of the Supreme soul f which we are the separated parts, and continous reminder that we should always try to imbibe these qualities in ourselves if we desire reunion with him one day. The book is not available in market , I tried but failed , but yes It was published by SGPC and later withdrawn. Donot know what their Sikh history research board is doing, so much money is illspent on these projects with such disgusting results

No not at all are they singing about Guru Ramdas ji, the( facts and the) site shown is dehra of Wadbhag singh sodhi situated on Una Hamirpur road in Himachal , the references about the Wadbhag Sing can be verified from the old history books in Panth Prakash (both ) and Tawarikh Guru Khalsa . iF IT'S RUMOUR SPREAD BY THAT SHARMA , shame on him to defame the universal brotherhood called KHALSA. iF THE NEWS IS TRUE, as we in India have also read in some newspapers, then shame on the Management of that Gurudwara . The spirit of Sikhi as retold in tawarikh gur khalsa by Ratan Singh Bhangu , is a sikh even when alone , before taking meal says loudly " Guru ka langar is ready , whosoever wants to partake is welcome , welcomes all who come, distribute the food, and then eats himself if available (PACHEY BACHEY TAU AAP CHAKKE HAIN, NAHI TO LANGAR MAST BATAE HAIN ) i am sure sikhs with this kind of true sikhi spirit are still alive and , may be few but exist in every corner of the world . I assume this is not clean chit , the court has ruled there is not sufficient evidence to start the prosecution . more over option of appeal in higher court is still open . the legal battles are always long drawn . further dyer , the killer of Jalianwala met his nemesis after many many years . Even in todays paper & today in some magazines did i saw foto badal'wife sitting on ground and Ashutosh noormehaliya sitting besides in chair . In punjab everyone knows it, the matter is if some one is not pooran gursikh why he pretends to be , and why we tolerate such guys in Gurudwara management .

this is about baba Wadbhag singh Sodhi, who hails from the family of guru sahibs , a cousin og the 10th Guru sahib, some times fought tyranny of moghul lempire alongwith misls , sometimes doing thingsprohibited in sikhi, hence excommunicated many times , readmitted and again excommunicated, some peoples in punjaband himachal follow his sect- can be said a breakaway sect like kookas .actually in my humble viewthey are half sikhs , if we try the followers (hindus and those still calling themselves sikhs ) can be brought into mainstream sikhi, but alas our religious leaders and the SGPC have no time for such important things sorry if some one feels offended wjkk wjkf
