A sikh is a person , in simplest words and as explained to this humble servant by great scholars who leads his\her life the way God wants his loved ones to .The very first submission to his will is - to live with and keep the body as given to us by Him , that is the reason why our great Gurus ordained us to keep hair (of head ,face and other body hair ) as we got from naTURE, UNSHORN I feel this is sufficient in nutshell

  7. in nutshell, a sikh believes in one supreme power the God , does not believe in incarnation theory, and tryto reach the ultimate aim of life through the teachings of the Masters , present before us in the form of the Book , ADISri Guru Granth Sahib .he is expected to lead simple life living off honest earnings, serving the needy , respecting the divergent views regarding faith ,but firm in his own faith full version of the sikh view of life can be found at the site sgpc.net under the head - sikh rehat maryada thanks

  18. ther word Sehaj dhari is most misquoted in our times , take any reference, it means a person, gradually embracing external and spiritualtenets of sikhi, In our time - parents are strictfollowers of Sikhi, the sons and daughters are Rodey Bhodey and calling themselves sehajdhari while in practice they are going away from Sikhi , shedding the tenets one by one are they sehajdhari or what ? is easy to judge
  19. I do not know who started it in punjabi, but for sure lala pair bindi is not punjabi syllable, of other languages owing origin to sanskritit is found in marathi (spoken in maharashtra ) and drawidian ( southern indian languages. In hindi, only some kaidas ( primers) have itin written hindi it is seldom used, in punjabi we find it in latter day paintee , ( thirty five word primer) only , almost never came across in real print . Putting bindibelow a letter in punjabi ascribes stressed voice to the letter , as described by the linguist. For other pairi bindi letters, as said above ,these are stressed syllables, normally used in persial script(used to write urdu) and Bhai Kahan Singh NABHA has written in his treatise clearly, that he has used these forms to explain words having origin in other langage, and punjabi as written in gurmukhi script does not require these letters .
