  1. In the UK or India? For the UK I would say get granthi's to motivate people in the gurdwarra, have speeches and get gianis to come forward and become politicians, spiritual politicians, politicians who will be true to their word in the name of our Gurus and their status as gianis. The gurdwarra is the true sangat, Granthis have this responsibility. our Guru's led in this task, if god has bestowed on them the blessing of their position, they should follow our gurus example and we should have at least one member of parliament from a gurdwarra, not gurcharan singh or any other singh, we need a giani- someone who shows dedication to sangat and to the guru at the gurus door.
  2. My goodness! That's really really bad! and got me really angry!
  3. Knock on people's doors, give them a kick up the a** and tell them to fix up look sharp! i truly believe after disarmament in this country the least we should know is self defence and how to use hand held weapons (obv. not guns!)
  4. Okay so agreed I'd say prob 90-99% of girls who live out do stupid things. And Genie said he didn't know a single girl who has lived out and not messed up so I'm thinking he has the right to be this weary of girls who live out, I didn't hear him branding all girls who live out to be like that he just said in his eyes that's how it is as that's what he's seen to date.
  5. sherepunjab93 you make some really good points, alot of sikh fathers do not treat their daughters and sons equally and this damages daughters so much and is typically carried into adulthood. Punjabi culture's spun out of control, why couldn't most sikhs just stay god fearing like they were in the old days instead of being sexist beer guzzling chauvinists who have no respect for our gurus and all that they did and still do for us. The fact is, if sikh girls are brought up in a family with brothers and fathers they cannot respect as they themselves have no respect for anything or anyone, they're not going to want to marry a sikh guy with the same lack of values and crappy attitude which is probably all the choice they're gonna have unless they're lucky to find a genuinely good sikh. Girls want a guy who no matter how tough he can act is caring on the inside and who will care about and love them, a guy that they can depend on. Someone made the point that muslim guys care about their religion alot and this shows girls that they actually have the ability to care and the stability and discipline of their religion can indicate dependability in their nature. Alot of the time though, muslim guys will try hard to get a sikh girl because they're on a mission to convert, whether they are religious or not. Even if they themselves aren't very religious, there will almost always be someone whispering in their ear, brothers, uncles, telling them it's their duty, We've all head true stories about rewards and free food for muslim boys who convert sikh girls this is a fact and happens in and around mosques and areas all over britain. Guys will hide this agenda completely from sikh girls, acting all sensitive, caring and flattering and sikh girls who have not been educated by their fathers or brothers properly or have but are fooled by the guys sweet facade fall into the trap! It's sad but it happens so often!

  11. Is there any way anyone can find this out for sure, because if he did he's going down big time!
  12. LOL! God must've been laughing like anything whilst commanding that to happen!
  13. You do realise lucifer was a fallen angel?

  14. Hats off to those asian guys (well two of them, the other one didn't defend his friends at all!) they showed so much bravery, they were completely outnumbered and smaller than most of those guys. That fat BNP guy looks and fights like a thug, what a <banned word filter activated>. I wish the asian guys had beaten him up more, he threw the first punch so he's to blame anyway, he could have just spat back, he can't even show himself to be a politician cuz politicians don't beat people up after being spat on. The asians acted more like poiliticians than he did. In my eyes the asians won cuz spitting on someone is showing them they're the excretion of the earth, punches are just physical!
  15. I'm loving the name!!

  16. Ok I'm a girl and I understand, and she def shouldn't have put that opinion forward, but still to assume someones muslim like that and call them a troll is so completely out of order. How would this assumption sit with any muslim who came on here wanting to know about sikhi, I've been on loads of muslim forums to learn about their religion and when they ridicule sikhs it hurts. When people see hate thrown around like that they're not gonna feel comfortable posting on here.
  17. Are you joking? Yeh you must be, gosh i thought you were being serious for a second! And I was thinking what about all the sikhs during our 10 gurus lifetimes that were hindu and muslim and turned to sikhi, as well of the countless numbers in modern times aswell who were born into diff religions but are now 100 times more true to sikhi than most people born into sikh families! Among 100 other examples heres one that may seem small but hit me in a big way! I remember sitting in a langar hall in southall and watching an oriental looking sikh sit down with his food. He was the only one in the whole hall (which was packed that day) that sat for a minute and thanked god for his food. It took my breath away! Almost everyone else was sat down talking loudly, a few guys at the back were whistling at some girl walk in and then there was this guy, quiet and almost unnoticable sitting there looking completely oblivious to it all, in his own little world praying with such devotion and love, the peace, calm, gratitude and love that he radiated was awe inspiring! He changed my life and whenever I remember I try to do the same although I know in my heart I could probably never be as dedicated as him!
  18. Yeh, a whole weight is just lifted off me when I remember this!
