  1. they are a pretty loony very small bunch of salafists who dream of khalifa but are often side lined by majority of muslims and mocked by the western press everywhere. However them openly challenging our faith is providing a great opportunity to show up islam's core hypocritical and backward teachings and its founder and also debate its credentials for all to see thus also work on converting muslims to Sikhi. Vast majority of Sikhs are selfish fools who are doing nothing for Sikhi while other faiths (especially abrahmic) are trying to decrease our numbers and influence. If Sikhs do not wake up and start to actively promoting and converting people to Sikhi then we will be in a very much worse off position than we are today.
  2. This group is lacking some serious strategic intelligent policy makers and advisors. They shout alot during demo's ( with little turn out these days except for annual june 1984 protests) but dont make any impact politically. Perhaps they need a change of leader or more university educated people taking up roles within it. Also they have not tackled the congress party but rather focus all their energy on hindtva groups. Congress party has denied Sikhs freedom since 1947, has made hindu and sikhs fight each other and they count on their muslim vote bank to keep them in power. Their policy advisers made the army to carry out operation blue star and genocide of Sikhs in 1984 and killing fields of punjab. Shouldn't Dal Khalsa be focusing on more getting popular support from Sikhs and in tern political power to lobby western governments to get indian congress party and its members outlawed?
  3. Another laughable attempt by his group to convert non-muslims but this time focusing on hindus and sikhs and in particular hind . http://shariah4hind.com/discover-islam/islamic-roots-in-sikhism
  4. I think you havent read the thread or understood my post properly. If your a Khalsa then yes that applies what you said if your not then when your daughter is married off to another family your lineage and surname ends there. However your sons will carry on your surname and lineage to the next generation when they marry and have kids with their wives. Any how i'm not interested that line of debate i'm interested in how the British justice system is able to overrule the wishes of a deceased person's will that his/her inheritance goes to specific people and not to another.
  5. No..... Sikhs are allowed more than one wife there are no objections to having more than one just the cultural norm is to have one. Some of the Guru Ji's had more than 1 wife.
  6. Are these slideshows and programs being targeted to sisters already who adhere to Sikhism or those everyday average clubbing pubbing punjabi / Indian girls who arent following any faith at the moment? Preaching to the religious sisters is pointless as they already know this stuff. The ones in danger are those who get caught up in western lifestyles and dont have knowledge, love or time for religion who often use their blackberries and iphones to chat to randoms. They are often targeted by predatory atheistic or Islam-fascist males as they are much easier prey than the one who has firm faith. One tactic muslim guys use to get their girls to conform into behaving is often scaring them into believing ie using imagery of death to making them scared of their actions knowing they will have to answer to God after death. Another tactic is pretending to be a non-muslim guy chatting them up then exposing them then in effect scaring them not to trusting people on social networks so easily.
  7. How is this case (highlighted in the 1st post) different to this recent one where a grandmother who died did not want her grand daughter getting a penny after she died. http://www.telegraph...ing-in-sin.html i dont understand how the greedy daughter was allowed to over rule the will of her late father when it was his will and testimony for his estate to go to his sons
  8. Butcher of Trilokpuri’ set free; AIISF rushes to court Ludhiana A day after the media reported that Delhi Lieutenant-Governor (L-G) Tejendra Khanna has commuted the life sentence of Kishori Lal (48), convicted of multiple murders in the 1984 anti-Sikh riots in Delhi, the All India Sikh Students Federation (AISSF) announced to file a PIL before Delhi High Court challenging the move. Khanna, acting on the recommendations of the state Sentence Review Board (SRB), recently commuted the sentence of Lal, who had earned the sobriquet Butcher of Trilokpuri after he allegedly killed several people, and 14 other life convicts. Karnail Singh Peermohammad, president, AISSF, said that commuting Lal’s sentence would amount to another injustice to the victims of 1984 Sikh massacre. “ The PIL will be based on the ground that commutation and release of such a hardened criminal, who murdered several Sikhs including three brothers Darshan Singh, Amar Singh and Nirmal Singh, by cutting them into pieces with his hatchet, will pose a threat to the safety of the witnesses who testified against him,” Peermohammad said. “Commuting the sentence of Kishori Lal who murdered several sikhs in cold blood would amount to another injustice to the victims of November 1984 Sikh massacre. Kishori Lal’s sentence is commuted at time when victims of November 1984 are fighting against the Clean Chit given to Jagdish Tytler and are trying to get Sajjan Kumar convicted,” remarked Peermohammad. In a statement issued from California (USA), Mohinder Singh who allegdly saw his father Darshan Singh a resident of Trilokpuri, being killed by Kishori Lal, said, “Commutation of Lal’s sentence is bitter injustice and it has brought back the tormenting memory of how my father was butchered. We are fighting to get justice for the last 27 years and with this decision, we have lost all faith that victims of 1984 riots will ever get justice in India.” Mohinder Singh is one of the plaintiffs against Congress (I) and Union Minister Kamal Nath in the ‘November-1984 Sikh Genocide’ case filed by Sikhs For Justice, a human rights advocacy group, which is pending before the US Federal Court. Meanwhile, the AISSF also announced to hold a “Justice Rally” on February 16 in Delhi in association with National 1984 Victims Justice and Welfare Society to protest against the commutation of Lal’s sentence. Lal, a former butcher who stayed in east Delhi’s Trilokpuri, had been accused of stabbing victims in the neighbourhood. He had been sentenced to death seven times by the lower courts. The Supreme Court, later, commuted them to life terms. Lal was among 25 people, convicted by city courts for offences connected to the 1984 riots, and has spent around 16 years in jail. Kishori Lal (48), lodged in Tihar Jail since 1996, will soon be a free man. Lal, convicted of multiple murders in the 1984 anti-Sikh riots in Delhi, is serving life term.
  9. social media and networking will not disappear ever. So the solution is to train our youth, our future generations to the do's and dont's of using these networks properly. Sikh parents are so behind the times these days kids are swapping naked pics from the net and themselves via iphone and blackberry messenger and get bullied and blackmailed when they fall out with each other. So the solution has to be drawn up where Sikh parents are educated and in tern they can educate their kids the dangers of the net and social media network/ & hone messengers. Also at the age of 16 a person is legally able to get married and have consensual sex in the UK. It only becomes a problem in the eyes of the law when they are under 16. So Sikh parents need to make sure their impressionable kids are educated at an early age before they get preyed on by sexual predators and those seeking to convert them out of the faith.
  10. This congressi butcher should be made to suffer for his evil crimes but I cant think of a harsher way then letting him watch his family killed in the same manor he did against Sikhs and him tortured to death. Perhaps then hearts of the Sikhs will be cooled and justice will have been served a little. Karma one way or another will catch up with him, lets hope its sooner rather than later.
  11. Afew days before the operation http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HemEZXJgpeE After the operation filmed while the Indian generals and soldiers still at darbar sahib mopping up process.
  12. Parnaam Sikhi de shaheeda nu. They all are great role models, inspire us with their bravery and valour and make us proud to have fought for our existance.
  13. There are Videos pre and after operation blue star on youtube but none during as you can understand back then you wouldnt have access to many camera's on the Sikh side while your busy fighting for faith and life while on the Indian terrorist army side they might have footage but doubt they would release it for fear of inflaming Sikhs against India and its army.
  14. forget the kohinoor only men of greed care about such tittle tattle. To Sikhs our Sikh reference library and the historical documents artifacts that was contained within it is what is important. The last information on the whereabouts of those items looted by the Indian army during operation blue star was that the CBI (indian intelligence agency) had it within its vaults. And they have kept up the pretence they dont have anything...but everyone knows they do as all items including Khalistani stamps, passports etc were all collected brought to them and processed.
  15. Great show well done Sikh channel slighty spoiled at the end with the phone in by a dangerous woman in my opinion...A so called Dr Gill from roehamption univeristy who has a devious anti-male agenda, tried to hijack the show from exploitation of children into a domestic violence one. And as we know domestic violence can happen in both genders. Men should not let women like her ever get away with expressing her views without countering and telling feminist extremist women like her that men suffer domestic violence too as statistics prove. Also it is usualy the mother who gives out domestic violence to kids in the home these days but Dr gill will rather brush over those facts. But anyway lets congratulate Sikh channel, the sikh awareness team and the family who have been victimised for raising profile of an important issue.
  16. Historic Gurdwara in Peshawar to reopen for worship PTI | 07:02 PM,Feb 10,2012 From M Zulqernain Lahore, Feb 10 (PTI) A historic Gurdwara in Pakistan's northwestern Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa's provincial capital will be reopened to the minority Sikh community for the first time since Partition in 1947, an official said today. Bhai Beeba Singh Gurdwara in Peshawar will be opened for worship after authorities complete its renovation. "On the demand of the Sikh community, we decided to reopen the centuries-old gurdwara," Asif Hashmi, chairman of the Evacuee Trust Property Board, told PTI. The ETPB is responsible for managing the shrines of minority communities across Pakistan. Hashmi and leaders of the Sikh community participated in an event to mark the reopening of the gurdwara in Hashtnagri area of Peshawar yesterday. "The gurdwara will be opened for local and foreign Sikhs in a month or so after we complete its renovation," Hashmi said. Some 4,000 Sikhs, who were displaced from their homes in the tribal belt because of the activities of militants, had settled in Peshawar, the capital of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province. One of their first demands was the reopening of Bhai Beeba Singh Gurdwara, Hashmi said. The gurdwara was closed before Partition. It was last renovated in 1833. After Partition, it was handed over to the Department of Auqaf and a vocational training school is currently being run in the compound.
  17. Yup the Sikhs of the past respected shasters that much as it was the lion zeal Guru Ji had bestowed on his Sikhs combined with love and power of weapons that saved our people and religion from elimination.
  18. Is this show regarding the girl who was targetted by gang of pakistani muslim guys for sexual exploitation? I think it would be important not to make children scared of adults or even give the perception all adults are like this because we have already seen a raise of the generation of youths who do not have any respect for adults and the elderly due to mishandled over sensationalisation of this issue and scaremongering parents and children. Child grooming and exploition is an important issue but should be handled in a correct manor where the child learns discipline and respect for adults, the use of modern computer/mobile fone technology and implications of misuse of it and knows what is right and wrong so if they ever encounter a predetor in their company they can let an adult know who they trust. Too many parents give their kids internet webcam enabled latptops and sometimes kids will naturally want to do things they are not supposed to without realising the full consequences of what they do and thats when they fall into the trap their abuser.
  19. Indeed some indian/punjabi women think marrying out the faith or to a guy of a different race will bring them happiness they are very much mistaken. It's all lust end of the day they learn very quickly that guys are basically the same regardless of colour/caste/race etc. If you dont have firm faith and values in common chances are your marriage will end quick especially these days as more and more people are divorcing and less and less people taking up marriage.
  20. Dancing

I dont think there anything anti-sikh about dancing. Guru's never forbad it to my knowledge. When Sikhs of the past won battles and there was celebrations i'm sure the community danced to express joy. It's a normal human activity, also the Sikhs who practise gatka/shaster vidya do a sort of what can be termed as a dance before using the weapons. I guess its where and how you dance can be of issue, like dancing in inappropriate places or wearing certain religious garbs dont look too good, dancing under the influence of intoxicants is a no-no for a Sikh. And also dancing up real close to someone like you see in dancehall music vids is inappropriate too for a practising Sikh.
  22. The webhost of the site should be able to tell where the cyber attack originated from. Hope the backed up their data, shouldnt be a problem to restore the website again if not then they might want toi find a more secure and reliable webhost next time.
  23. Thats an interesting video makes a good point, however wouldnt blame european invaders for all the ills of the world though they did alot of evil and harm but also some good in terms of trade & commerce, transport, refining technology, etc. If you look at britian it was a seen a small pagan island not worth anyones attention then came the invading roman empire and brutalised the population before taking it over and the civilisation of native british tribal localised pagans evolved over time to be more integrated and more like the romans seeking to conquer nations aboard.
  24. Yup thats a good idea but ts a few years late however better late than never. all we need to remember this Sikhism is a missionary faith and all those who are against that statement are in essense not Sikhs. They wish for the decline of Sikhi they want to hide Sikh from non-sikhs they want to have a cosy little jatha specific punjabi centric club kind of Sikhsm. We can not allow that to happen therefore every Sikh must promote Sikhism in whatever medium they can. Otherwise stop calling yourself a Sikh and go do your punjabi/indian cultural things as you have done nothing for Sikhi or its future. I see yoga loving white western Sikhs promoting Sikhism more than those of punjabi/indians ethnicity these days. If its yoga that that is needed to draw people into Sikhism then so be it. Yoga is not anti-sikh its a form of exercise in the context of a Sikhs spritual lifestyle which is different from a hindu's who does yoga to get "magical powers" or boons/favors from so called "gods".
