I have a question about Chitar Darshan/Tasveer Darshan. Because shouldn’t you really rely on pictures of the Gurus, as that is what they may not of looked liked? The person who created paintings and pictures of the Gurus is a man called Soba Singh, he himself said that this is just what he imagined the Gurus would look like. And shouldn’t you really be looking at the Jyot of Guru, and not there physical appearance? Didn’t Guru Gobind Singh Jee say if you call him God you will go to Hell? Am i just getting things confused here? Can someone please guide me to what they mean by Chitar Darshan/Tasveer Darshan please :waheguru: Forgive me if i have said anything wrong.

Bani on a chakaar is fine, because it is placed in your dumalla. But look at a kara how many times the kara ends up touching the floor.As you can never guarantee that won't happen. Having that happen with Bani onthe kara wouldn't be the best of ideas! And if you have darshaan of Baba Deep Singh Jees Shaster at Akal Thakat then the Charkars which have bani on them are of a small size. And the larger Chakars have no bani on them, which would be used in battle. After all it is Baba Deep Singh Jee. Wearing a Kara with Bani on it is not for a normal person! Well daas would never wear one, would love to have it as a gift, but not for practical use.

Daas would say that the average size kirpan people wearis around 5inchs, and I also heard that anything smaller than 3inch is not classed as a kirpan. (Sangat jee please correct me if I'm wrong) Just make sure that your kirpan is sharp, good quality and sarbloh (iron) after all it is guru jees gift to us! But please don't get egoistical that my kirpan is better than yours. Kara should just be sarbloh and make sure there is no Bani written on the kara as that is beadbi. Gold and Platinum?!?! Waheguru!!! :doh: what about the amritdhari Sikhs in your area do they wear them too?

The kirpan that you are looking at is made from an AmericanSikh called Jot Singh. But I’m sure that there are Singhs in the USA who can findyou a kara/kirpan, just ask the local sangat!

Waheguru! If you are sleeping that late because of work,then you shouldn't sleep in your bed all comfy and plan to get up for Amritvela!You will be too tired to get up. Just sleep on your bed without a rajaie (duvet)for a couple of hours, then get up, do your Amritvela routine then go back to sleep in your bed. The reason i said don't go to sleep with your Rajaie before amritvela is because when it is time for amritvela, all you will need to do is jump out of bed without hassle (taking off the rajaie etc)! And if you are sleeping late because of Internet, distractions then Simply don't go on them and plan to sleep around 9ish! You can also sleep with your rajaie :rolleyes2: And there is one other thing you can do,, ARDASS!!! Hope this helps Jee!

I personally wear two kareh, but I always got told you place a kara in your right hand because if you are about to do something wrong then you end up looking at your kara, to remind you not to do so. I Have a silly question about your Kirpan,, you have your kirpan on your left hand side, so if you was to take it out you can do so with your right hand. Say if you were left handed shouldn’t you have your kirpan on your right side? So you can take it out with your left hand?!? :allears:
