Bro, any idea how they converted kaam jor into Bhagti jor? And a side note for all, by celibacy I mean all related actions, whether alone or with a partner.

WJK WJF Hey guys, hopefully this is not too mature a topic, but I was reading about how preserving our 'seed' and practicing celibacy can retain energy more, and then we may be able to transfer that saved energy into all areas of our life and become better at all our endeavors. One website, a Taoist website, said to practice celibacy for at least 100 days and then through breathing techniques and imagination we are able to use that saved up energy in all aspects of our life. Other cultures/traditions seem to have similar ideas. Anyone know anything about this? How can we utilize this energy after periods of abstinence? It can certainly help in meditation if we're able to harness it and use it for more than just pleasure. (Some may not believe this but I don't know, I think there may be something here. Think of how active the mind becomes when it thinks of Kaam. Now imagine that power can be used for other things.)

Thanks for your replies all. I've read through it and most of the points that seem to be made are in regardance of maya, but in Gurbani, it says to love those that bring us closer to God, right? In that case, it seems wise to marry a wife who'll say things like "You should go to sleep now, be rested for Amrtivela", and if one is lucky enough to find a religious wife like that, the love between the spouses in that case would be good and not count as attachment, yes? Thus, that is the secret to a healthy love-filled marriage then?

WJK WJF A friend told me today that he can't ever picture himself loving a girl (as in his future wife), and I didn't pay much mind to it, both of us are just out of high school after all, LOL, but for those who are married, just a quick question. I know we're not supposed to be attached to anyone, but I'm guessing if your wife is religious and kind, it is easier to love her as she even helps you be attuned to God, right? My friend said that if a girl was a good God-believer, it would be easier to appreciate her, so basically, is that the secret to a good marriage that Guru Ji would approve of? I thought to be a Shaheed, one would have to die for a just cause AND belive in God ?(correct me if im wrong) Budhists don't even believe in God. His 'Bhagti' isn''t real Bhagti because it's likely he didnt believe in GOD AT ALL. He'll be more comparable to those supposed 'yogis' we sometimes see on TV who poke needles through themselves and not feel pain. Would we call them saintss? Of course not, so we can't compare this Budhist to a saint either, especially since his religion does not make much mention of a creator.

Bhai Jagtar Singh Hawara’s legal team has posed a key question to him and the Sikh Panth, “Why is the same state which is trying to free Bhai Balwant Singh Rajoana from [the] death penalty now wanting to hang [Hawara]?” Bhai Jagtar Singh Hawara is currently facing life imprisonment for his involvement in the Beant “Singh” assassination case. The High Court had announced a death sentence for Bhai Hawara, the mastermind behind the assassination plot. According to court orders, Bhai Jagtar Singh Hawara played a key role in the assassination. Bhai Hawara had appealed his sentence, after which his death sentence was commuted to life imprisonment. The Sikh Nation has worked hard to seek a stay on Bhai Balwant Singh Rajoana’s execution. A similar fate for Bhai Hawara could mean further harsh days for the community. Details about the CBI orders will be shared with Sikh Sangat in the next few days. Bhai Hawara’s legal team is scheduled to hold a live interview with the Sikh Channel, UK, tomorrow. Major fraud by the CBI was unearthed by Laywers for Human Rights International (LFHRI) in which they found proof that the CBI had never appointed the prosecution lawyer. LFHRI had made an application to the Punjab and Haryana High Court to dismiss the case and/or conviction in the Beant case against Rajoana and all the other Singhs on the basis that the whole case is tainted by fraud. Is it just me or does punjab seem like its under a media blackout once more? II mean, anyone have info on any protests or anything going on? Have they stopped the protests there? WHat's gonna happen on the execution date?

Wow, if it goes through, I don't think the Sikhs in Punjab should remain quiet. But I've heard they've issued some rule where if there are any congreations of 4 or more people in an area, it is cause for arrest, and they're SUPPOSEDLY targeting those who are putting up keshri chandey. With all the military presence that's been put in Punjab at the same time...it might be hard. All the Arab Spring populations have had outside support, they were given weapons. If only China had enough mind to step in and do somethin, after all, India is their enemy.

Has the march to the jail been abandoned or is OP just saying there could be a chance of it being cancelled? Hopefully Bhai Sahib Rajoana gives more statements that keeps the Ankh awake and the youth moving in Punjab and elsewhere, it's a good electric feeling in the air right now
