    How Far?

its all about intentions. BUT one should not indulge in a physical relationship - save soemthing for marriage!! I think if a couple talk, hold hands and hug, thats fine... but kissing, touching, and other lustful activities are just not on and not something a GurSikh should be doing at all. When you talk to someone, remember you are the Son of Guru Gobind Singh Jee. Dont talk dirty, look dirty or touchy dirty. Theres a lot of definitions to "flirting" and a lot of people do it (some without even realising it) but theres a line. Inevitably, you will marry, and i wouldnt say "right, totally keep away from people of the opposite gender". I would say "in moderation, with good intentions and respectfully." Dont do stuff. And ESPECIALLY dont do "stuff" in public where you disrespect Sikhi saroop and our Father, Guru Gobind Singh Jee. Forgive my mistakes.

  4. tusee jee post edit karlayee hai! eh thorho gal bandayee hai! navaa post kholke, ta phir apne naveh veechaar karne see! Veera meriya, its all good. Ure first post came accross differently to me so bhull chuk maaf karna. There is only one JagoWale jatha. Im pretty sure of that too. These guys have had run ins in India with police too and here they are famous and infamous with many too because the "truth hurts".
  5. no worries. heres another vid from saintsoldiers http://www.saintsoldiers.net/ss/video/barsi_jagowale.wmv
  6. There is only one Jagowala Jatha I dont think u know what ure talking about ureself. Jago Wale have done a lot for the parchaar of 1984 - pre and post - and you either agree with their style or you don't. They arent afraid to expose the guilty infront of sangat. They diss Gurdwara commitees when the need comes, on stage infront of sangat, they get dodgy granthis and parchaariks kicked out from Gurdwaras where they hear that stuff is going on, they expose the guilty in punjabi and sikh newspapers around the world, and theyre not afraid of no Punjaab police. PROVE us otherwise. Anyway, this thread, im sure, isnt about JagoWale and whether they are "afraid of Punjaab police"... make sure u download the video at the top of this thread.
  7. i understand that. but heres some katha i heard : apparently, Mehta Kalu was a sanyaasi in his previous incarnation. he done keval tapp, which was total meditation away from gristt jeevan. Once he had done 'enough', he dreamt of a devi moorta who offered him anything, but mukhti, in return. His wish was to have God Himself to be born into his house. He was told he would be granted that wish but because he hadnt done bhagti, he would not be given "pehchaanan da //" - the ability to recognise the jyot. He would only be able to recognise the jyot once he had done bhagti or at such a time that Maharaj permits. away from that, i believe Maharaj is in every living thing, and in every inanimate object that exists. But i believe Guru Nanak Dev Jee was BEYOND any ordinary "man". However i also believe, with total control of ure mann and total pyaar, devotion and bhagti, what Guru Nanak Dev jee achieved, man can achieve too and that is perfection. Coz Guru Nanak Dev Jee was perfect and i believe we have been given the same ability to reach such a state of mind. im not very learned so do forgive me if i say nething wrong here...
  8. I agree with you veerji. Can you provide source for ur quote? Fateh http://www.sikhitothemax.com/page.asp?ShabadID=5388
  9. ah wkd bruv. thanks for the pix ... well, i beg to differ I met a very nice "gal" from Texas on a flight who actually spoke to me really politely, even though most at that time (2001) would have thought i was some kinda terrorist. But hey, we all of our own personal experiences of places. I hate Canada. Most people i know love it.
  10. Guru Nanak Dev Jee... without a doubt, he was ONE with GOD. NO question, no debate about it.
  11. yodel-ay yodel-ay yodel-ay-he-hoo... sorry just ignore me :| I like Oklahoma. Some absolutely beautiful states in America. Would be reli good if someone can post some photos of Gurdwaras in such states. I really love Texas.
  12. nice post Guru Ji's Sipahi :| But i think this thread should be closed. As admin said : Sikhi is respectful to all dharams, all faiths, all religions.
  13. I read this on SSnews... what the ****?! Police should release him so i can hunt the ****** down... :| ---------------- The Garhshankar police has arrested Joginder Singh, a resident of Soond village (Nawanshahar), working as sewadar granthi at Gurdwara Ravi Dass of Badesron village on Sunday under Section 295 of the IPC for allegedly removing some Ang of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. According to police sources, Harmesh Lal asked for the Bir of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji for solemnising the marriage of his daughter on Sunday. When Gian Singh, a granthi of Ladian village was reciting Guru Ji, he found some Ang missing. He reported the matter to Bhola Ram, president of Gurdwara Ravi Dass. Bhola Ram inquired from Joginder Singh, about the missing Ang. At first, Joginder Singh denied his involvement, but later confessed to having torn the Ang. Allegedly Joginder (employed for three months) believed he was to be called to conduct the ceremony but was not and so he tore the Lavaan Prayers out to make it difficult for the other Granthi to conduct the wedding.

  23. Erm... Children should not be given sharp kirpaans. Teach them the vidhiya but i believe kids should keep fairly blunt ones. Its not hard for a 16yr old taller, heavier kid to take it off a 13 yr old smaller kid, for example. And in schools nowdays, u have to be careful. So i think you should be PRACTICAL when it comes to these kinds of issues, rather than all "yeh lets have kids going around with deadly weapons". Shaster vidhiya is an art. When you attend classes for example, you are not handed a kirpaan straight away to train with. Depending on who you learn from, it starts off with sticks (although i believe it should start with hand to hand combat personally). I know when i was in year 8, i wore my kirpaan to school and this older girl, ignorant although well-intentioned, managed to grab my kirpaan off me slyly and starts waving it around. i was well upset and angry and went shouted at her a lot. But i realised how dangerous it was and still how ignorant the society around us is to the kirpaan still. This girl didnt know what the kirpaan was about, so not necessarily her fault. But she could have hit someone accidentally and that would have caused a backlash against Sikhs and our campaign to raise awareness and build acceptance and tolerance of the kirpaan. You cant give kids such a big responsibility of carrying and being responsible for a deadly weapon. Its unfair of anyone to expect kids to keep sharp kirpaans. Start them with the basics and work up, thats my opinions. Forgive my mistakes
