Panthic organizations, including Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Sevak Jatha, Akhand Kirtani Jatha, several Nihang Jathebandees, Naujwan Sabha Fatehgarh Sahib, Sikh Parchar Committee Ropar, Baba Bhupinder Singh Rara Sahib and even Ranjit Singh Dhadhrian participated in the massive protest march. He stated that he was an eyewitness to one of those cases, and openly challenged the rapist Baba to face the Sangat, and stated he is ready to face the Baba any where, any time. Marcher were greeted by scores of well wishers and supporters Pehowa Threatens Suicide Dr. Samra stated that Maan Pehowa, who is currently on a European tour, in a phone conversation threatened to 'hang himself' if the doctor did not keep silent. He stated the during the phone conversation the Baba tried to buy his silence him by offering bribes of several crore rupees. Dr. Samra rejected the offer stating he had a commitment to those victims that the Baba has abused for many years and decided to launch the campaign to expose the Baba's lecherous activities. As reported last week in Panthic Weekly, the 'Sikh Sangharsh Committee' is launching a state wide campaign to create awareness among the Sikh masses about the Pehowa Baba's illicit follies. The first march was flagged off from Kartarpur and went to Jallandhar, Phagawara, Nawa-Shehar, Ropar, and finally to Fatehgarh Sahib. Information on the Baba's criminal activities was distributed to the public by the Sikh Sangharsh Committee along the march route. In Ropar, one of Baba's stronghold's thousands of local residents showed up to greet the 'Sikh Sangharsh' marchers and openly expressed support for their cause. Many were relieved that someone was finally exposing the Baba who was running a mafia like dera, and claimed they were afraid to speak up in the past due to his connections with the underworld and corrupt politicians. "We are hopeful that this rapist Baba will be behind bars within a month", declared Dr. Samra After hearing about the Committee's mission, a young Bibi from a nearby village asked the organizers permission to speak. The girl went up on the stage and bravely disclosed her personal story and how the Baba had molested her. Her revelations brought the crowd to an angry uproar with chants of support for the victims and Committee members. Many stated they were ready to sacrifice themselves for this organization's cause to expose the 'dirty' Baba. Ropar Dera - a Recluse of Police Cats Dr. Samra claimed that Mann Pehowa was nothing more than a fraudster in a Sant's clothing. He stated that during the late 1980s and early '90s, the Baba colluded with Police Agencies and hosted Police Cats that were hunting Sikh youths during those turbulent times. He was rewarded by the authorities for providing information on young 'Kharkhoo' Singhs. As a result, many youths were turned in and later eliminated due to the Baba's involvement with the Police Cats. Current Deras - Dens of Illicit Activity Utilizing the money collect by being a Police informant, and from donations on foreign tours, the Baba built several lavish deras across Punjab and Haryana, including a luxury 'kothi' (mansion) in Delhi. He is reportedly in possession of hundreds of acres of land, mostly attained in land grabs from poor farmers. As the Baba's dera grew, so did his popularity amongst the illiterate rural Punjabis, allowing the Baba to feed his primary passion - the seducing and molestation of young innocent girls. For years ex-followers have complained that the Baba was having illicit relations with young girls in his deras, but those complaints generally fell on deaf ears due to the Baba's close relationship with prominent politicians and leaders. The Sangharsh Committee claimed that they have received overwhelming support from the Baba's victims who were afraid to speak up before and their complaints and evidence will all be compiled together for dismantling the Baba's nefarious network. The Khalsa Alliance, a panthic organization that spearheaded recent anti-Pehowa protests in California, stated that "the Baba has destroyed and ripped apart the lives of many families. Gurdeep singh Sivia has been cleared by the jathebandi, he did not grass on anyone. The only thing he is guilty of is not being able to manage torture. He returned to UK in 1994 in a very bad state and his health is still very bad. The paper which printed these stories was sued and admitted the allegations were lies. Sangat jeo, Another kathavachak has been exposed as a fraud, the sangat at Guru nanak gurdwara edward st had been watching balwinder singh sagher for the last week and last night he was exposed for the fraud he is.. Amongst his possesion's many inappropriate items have been found including, dirty punjabi songs(chamkeela) fake sponsorship papers. It has also been discovered that he was advertising for punjabi massaage! Also in his possesion where pictures he had taken on a day trip to liverpool where he had removed his dastar and was sporting a pony tail, pictures can be seen below.. Sagher doing katha on stage... sagher the hero.... Sangat jee we need to be vigilant, sagher was on the face of it a very good kathavachak,he has travelled the world doing katha at gurughars....we need to wake up to these people who aodrn gursikh bana and carry put beadbi of guru ji and our pavitar saroop. It is not kown where sagher is now, and sangat should beware of him he is a very clever and manipulative man. The sangat at edward st gurdwara should be commended for catching this fraudster making it known the sangat of his actions. one thing for sure he wont be coming back to edward st in a while......:-)

ITs true gurdara Dera Sahib does need a lot of restoration work carrrying out on it. but the PGPC cannot be condemned for not investing in the Sikh shrtines in pakistan, the work carried out kartarpur sahb is nothing short of amazing, this one the most improtant shrines in our fatih was in a total state of disrepair until the PGPC restored it. they have also carried out lots of work at gurdara bhai joga singh peshawar, gurdwra rori sahib, nanakana sahib, tamboo shaib and gurdwara shaheed singh singhnian. Dera sahib gurwdara is more complex as stated it has a lot of fresco work that needs to be carefully restored, proper consulatation needs to be undertaken first, this has started and the Pak govt had stated that they will not rush the work. On a final point the SGPC cannot comment on developing sikh shrines for 30 years they would come to pakistan on the variious mela's take the sangats money and run back to india...the gurwara's were in an awful state, not one attempt was made by the sgpc to start work on pakistans gurdwara's. there is an improvement and it is a slow proccess. so please be aware of the anti-pak rhetoric that comes from india.

Opening of Gurdwara Shaheed Singh Singhniaan Lahore On the 11th of November 2005 Gurdwara Shaheed Singh Singhnia was opened by Sri Guru Granth sahib Jee, Akhand path sahib was commenced and bhog was on the 13th of November. Sangat from Singapore, Malaysia, UK and America were present. Akal takhat Jathedar Joginder Singh Vedanti and other Singh Sahibs travelled from India to participate in the Opening Ceremony. This historic site is where hundreds of Singhs and Singh were held captive in meer manu's jail; where Bibiaan were forced into labour and were made to watch their babies being cut limb by limb. Prior to the new Gurdwara being built, the site at Landa bazaar consisted of a court yard with a number of small rooms and an old well, which were in need of repair and have now been preserved. Special attention was given to the original well which was on the site an that has been preserved in its original state. The foundation stone for the Gurdwara was laid in a ceremony by the Panj Pyaarey on Vaisakhi 2000. Unfortunately, the project was then delayed due to planning difficulties until April 2004 when work was finally able to recommence. The work was completed at an astonishing rate and the whole project was completed in 18 months. This is the first new Gurdwara to be built in Pakistan since 1947. This site is a great source of inspiration; it serves to remind us that in the face of adversity such brave Gursikhs did not turn their back on their Guru. It is through the actions of such inspiring souls that we can be shown the true strength of Sikhi; and with the help of the Sangat such a legacy can be preserved for future generations. This event was of great importance to the Sikh nation; we recall the actions of these Singhs and singhniaan each and every time we do Ardaas, and ask to be given the opportunity to carry out sewa of these Gurdwaras that are now in Pakistan . The sewa of the Gurdwara sahib was carried out by sangat from across the world and supervised by the Karsewa committee Gurdham Pakistan.

Its unfortunate that this programme is clashing with the national rehansbahi in barking, it put the sangat in a bit of a tight spot..... and before anyone elses pipes up...the national rehansbahi are always for charity..... lets try not to clash prograames ther is already enough division in the panth.

Will the feds openly speak up for HAWARA or all the other singhs who have been arrested no-chance, has one press release been given to support the singhs arrested in the last couple of weeks. no-chance. These are the same people who used to openly fight with BKI singhs in gurdwaras give full-page advertisments in papers calling babbars- hindus and non-sikhs....im sorry who's still out there in the battle field kicikn <admin-profanity filter activated>? this nothing new at smethwick, doesnt make it ok though, a couple of the committee mebers are panthic the stage secretary and the treasurer, the rest are usual bunch of ******. but one thing that you have to enusre is u dont replace one bad apple with another such as shergill.. all the old peopl need to be ousted, why not use the people who do sewa there? u have guys that have been doing nishkam sewa in the lanager for nearly 30 years y not bring them into the committe with professional youngsters working alongside...that is the way forward.

I dont think comments were just mad e by people in india, Amandep singh Madra from London who ash been doing excellent sewa of researching historical shrines in India, alos highlighted the problems with the karsewa baba's who seem intent on covering everything with marble and gold, rather than restoring. My chacha went to harmandir sahib during the sewa with Giani Amolak singh jee, and he saw with his oown eyes that the Sewadars were just pulling parts of the External wall off which was also damaging the Fresco's underneath. I would expect the Indian Sikhs to do a botch job of it, but for GNNSJ to botch it, is a big shame especially as Bhai sahib is a Civil engineer.

I think Bhai Jagtar Singh Jee is in his early 30's. He is from Hawara vill. in fategarh district. His Mothers name is Bibi Narender Kaur, his father died some years ago. He has one older brother who is settled in the west. His Fellow villagers and teachers say he was a very intelligent and athletic young boy. He got top marks in the District in 10th grade and he was a very keen Volleyball player. One distinct chracteristic that they all talk of, is his very acute sense of righting wrongs. Even at a young age he would always speak up if he felt that something was wrong or injust. Growg up in the late 80's and 90's hawara jee was heavily influenced by the events happening around him, thousand of young sikh men were being rounded up by beanta's regime and murdered this was to have a profound effect on him, and he realised action would have to be taken. He started sewa with local BKI singhs the rest as they is history...... Anyone who has met him has always spoken of his remarkable character and ability to convince you and win you over. Hence the mini khalistan they created in burail jail. I hope and pray the hawara jee remains in chardi kala, the panth needs inteligent, young leaders like hawara jee if we are to acheive anything.
