  1. When you know it was a planned massacre of Sikhs, why would word the question as Anti-Sikh Riots of 1984. Change the words to Sikh Massacre of 1984 .
  2. Amritsar, February 10 The 166th martyrdom day of Sikh General Sham Singh Attariwala, a contemporary of Maharaja Ranjit Singh, was observed at the India Gate here today. The veteran leader, Attariwala, had sacrificed his life on February 10, 1846, at the age of 61 in the Battle of Sabraon during the first Anglo-Sikh war. The dhadis sang vaars (songs of heroism) regarding Attariwala’s unmatched valour and respect among the Sikh soldiers. Schoolchildren presented songs and choreographies in the memory of the great martyr. Later a sports tournament was held at his native village Attari. Colonel Harinder Singh Attariwala, general secretary, Sham Singh Attariwala Trust, said General Attariwala would be always remembered in the Sikh and national history for his courage and selfless sacrifice. 3. Try to be sensible for a change.
  4. Singh559, how is it going at Amritsar? Share your experiences with us.
  5. Can any Sikh organisation take any action against this kind of sacrilegious remarks against Sikhs and our identity?
  6. Harsh tone never works anywhere in the world. Firm tone does wonders. Choose yours words carefully,S1ngh before you start preaching your sermons.
  7. No you call don't have to bribe anyone. Just take a copy of your passport. The sewadars at the booking office would give you a room subject to availability. Have a blessed time at Harmandir Sahib.
  8. Pakhandis like you will always remain in confusion and write meaningless stuff like,"Wearing a bana running around like a school girl " One day when you grow up, you will realise how hollow you have been.
  9. Take it easy. You must have been watching too many violent movies lately.
  10. The formula for survival in life for cowards and pretenders like you," Part of survival in life is fitting in to the crowd sometimes and when you stand out you can suffer from racism, hatred, lack of opportunies (whatever that means) in school, jobs, sports, etc
  11. Your nonsensical answers are making it clear that you have no knowledge of Sikh beliefs. The debate here is about Sikhs keeping their hair as per the Hukum of Guru Gobind Singh Ji and you show your immaturity by writing,"However ask yourself next do you think only you will go to heaven and the majority of the world who cuts their hair will go to hell and burn and reincarnate until they are born in your family. Or for cutting their hair all christians, hindus, muslims, jews, buddhist will reincarnate to various stages of animals and you need to save them." This clearly shows that you are a pakhandi or a pretender who is just being a clown on a Sikh forum. This fact is further proven beyond any doubt whatsoever when you write," if not cutting your hair is following his hukam and will why do you cut your nails then?"
  12. Very well said, Singha. But unfortunately this simple message cannot be understood by the Sikhs who cut their hair and go on the rooftop shouting that Kesh are not required in Sikhism. Shamelessness and ungratefulness to the sacrifices of our ancestors at its height.
  13. You are so confused that it is not even funny. You say,"The Kesh rehat is stated in guru gobind singh jis maryada upon khalsa initiation. If this is the way you behave with other people how do expect anyone to embrace sikhi at all, they will look at you thinking you are the truest representation of guru gobind singh and run away." We want the cowards who cannot obey the hukum of Guru Sahib to run away. You need courage and faith to follow His hukum and we are Singhs who have been blessed with courage and the strength to call a spade a spade by our Gurus. Another example of your comprehension skills, " Eating Pizza doesn't convert you to christianity, pizza is a dish mainly from people who were christian." Stop making a fool of yourself by writing such things which make no sense at all. Here is another gem from you,"look at the opposite when sikhs first came to a country were people cut hair, people like maharaja dalip singh cut his hair." For your poor information Maharaja Dalip Singh was forcibily coverted to christianty and his hair was cut by the cruel english.
  14. Can you stop talking about castes here. When are you going to change your stupid mindset? Just keep it simple and say that Singhs took him out and not, "it was singhs from a chamar background"
  15. We are talking about Sikhism here. You are again being foolish by saying" Hair is not required...." This may be in the case of non sikhs but not for SIKHS. We as Sikhs have to follow the hukum of our Gurus and keep hair and that is it. No ifs, no buts.
  16. I thought that that you had only a confused mind but with this post you have proven your problem is much more serious. Writing stuff like"Sikhism doesn't prescribe to eat parantha forever", shows that you are not even aware what you are writing. You weak character and lack of faith in Sikhism is highlighted by your comment," the huge fashion trend is clashing with a religious belief system as is an older religious system (abrahamic traditions)" A Sikh is not influenced by fashions and older religious systems. Sikhs have always been trend setters and not trend followers. You have not even an iota of understanding of the basics of the Sikh beliefs as indicated in your previous post where you wrote “Also Guru Granth Sahib does not explicity forbid not cutting hair.”
  17. Ask your mahapurush when he told you,"person can not go to sachkhand unless he is Amritdhari even though person is doing bhagti all his life. he has to take Amrit to enter in Sachkhand."where does it says this in Guru Granth Sahib ji.
  18. So what about Sikhs who are not Amtitdhari? TALK LOGICAL,man.
  19. Shamelessness at its height shows in your nonsensical comment.
  20. Change your id from guru da chela to adharmi da chela because you are giving a bad name to Sikhism . You are a pretender who claims to be a Sikh BUT still go against the basics of SIKHISM by still following the stupidity of casteism.
  21. I viewed this video on youtube today. It is awesome and gives a strong message to Sikhs to forget their differences, be aware of their glorious heritage and make a change for the better.
  22. @DalbirSingh,"We live in a majority abrahamic world christianity, judaism and islam abraham gave the order to trim hair, however also said keep it long with a beard however right now fashion is trimming it. Abraham expressed it as a duty to cut hair, so we live with a different tradition who imposes it's values on the majority, just like eating meat. So the argument is which is older and so forth. In many ways our failure to read the ancient indian traditions and our own to preserve our knowledge we can't quote rehats ourself." Another example of your confused mindset. What has the abrahamic world to do with Sikhism.
  23. We are talking about the importance of keeping hair in Sikhism. So just stick to the point and do not try to confuse yourself and others by giving illogical and pointless arguments.
  24. Good on you for being the only Sikh in your family. But why do you find it so hard to be a keshdhari Sikh. May Waheguru give you the strength to stay on the path of Sikhi. Blaming movies for Sikhs becoming patit is sheer nonsense. The main reason is parents have no time or inclination to teach the significance of keeping hair to their children. They have no time to tell them the proud history of the Sikhs.
