  1. Brother, I understand where you are coming from. What I am asking you is stop bad mouthing Sabat Soorat Sikhs and please come back to the fold by stop cutting your hair and sporting a neat turban. You are a SINGH and the turban is your crown.
  2. You are absolutely right. People need to grow up and be responsible enough to know the difference between right and wrong. And what has facebook to do with Sikhism.
  3. @Kop Singh, What is stopping you from becoming a Sabat Soorat Sikh when you have so much respect and love for Sikhi. Try to practice what you are preaching. And stop saying outrageous and bad words for Sikhs who are having their identity intact.
  4. KopSingh, You have done nothing wrong. I have read your comments and you have put that bandhar in his place. Carry on the good work.
  5. See thats what happen when a 'kid' confront a 'man' ... You lack the minimum qualifications to be called a "man" because of your inability to comprehend simple things and living in a world of your own. This is what you call STALEMATE, Instrument of Surrender Instrument of Surrender The Instrument of Surrender was signed at Ramna Race Course in Dhaka at one past five in the evening (1701 hrs), local time, on December 16, 1971, by Lieutenant General Jagjit Singh Aurora, General Officer Commanding in Chief of Eastern Command of the Indian Army and Lieutenant General Amir Abdullah Khan Niazi, Commander of Pakistani forces in Bangladesh, as the formal act of surrender of all Pakistani forces in erstwhile East Pakistan. Also present during the ceremony were Lieutenant General JFR Jacob, Chief of Staff of the Eastern Command and architect of the plan for the capture of Bangladesh, and, the commanders of Indian Naval and Air Forces in the Eastern Theatre. The signing of the document ended the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971, and led to the formation of Bangladesh. The name of the new country, Bangla Desh (later reduced to a single word), was used in the instrument of surrender, which declared: "The Pakistan Eastern Command agree to surrender all Pakistan armed forces in Bangla desh to Lieutenant-General Jagjit Singh Aurora, General Officer Commanding in Chief of the Indian and BANGLA DESH forces in the Eastern Theatre." Aurora accepted the surrender without a word, while the crowd on the race course started shouting anti-Niazi and anti-Pakistan slogans and abuses.[1] Niazi along with a sizeable number of Pakistani soldiers were taken prisoner (upwards of 90,000). This was the largest number of POWs since World War II and included some government officials.
  6. If you are gonna try to act like 'you know something' and like 'you got something' then atleast use correct words. My comments , if taken as my complex because of me being a Pakistani , would reflect my superiority complex and not inferiority complex ...Atleast use the correct words , bro. Losers have a deep sense of inferiority complex which they try to reflect as a superiority complex. So I have used the right words, have no doubt about that. pakistan was brought in as a rejoinder to your remark"bravery doesn't win wars anymore." pakistan lost all their wars with India and retreated with their tails between their legs because of the bravery of the Sikhs.
  7. Just shows your inferiority complex and a loser mentality when you remark,"You are just not well-read enough to understand complex underpinnings of war and its political objectives" . Every loser has these kind of characteristics and you are just proving that fact. It is indeed quite amusing and laughable that the general public in pakistan think they won the wars against India. And that must have been brainwashed into the people's mindset. Talking at EQUAL terms is another example of living in a fools' paradise. In what sphere is pakistan equal to India? And before playing the "we are soooo small " card, think of how small Israel is and how it has shown its strength to the much larger Arab world and kept them at bay for decades. Think twice before trying to show your poor knowledge and arrogance on this site as we have no time for these kind of behavior.
  8. @Auzer,".bravery doesn't win wars anymore..technology and economic power does !!!! Then why did Pakistan who had much better technology and much advanced weaponry donated to it by America lost every war with India. It was only the bravery of the Indian army especially the Sikh regiment which gave a bloody nose to the pakistanis. http://www.sikhsangat.com/Index.php?/topic/63606-we-sikhs-are-not-great-we-are-the-greatest/page__hl__%2Bsikh+%2Bsoldiers+%2Bare+%2Bthe+%2Bgreatest__fromsearch__1
  9. @PAL 07, will you ever grow up and start putting Sikhi into practice in your life or will you keep making a fool of yourself by writing stupid comments such as one below, 4) Women participating (though this may be allowed, personally i wouldn't allow it). An apology to the Sikh Sangat could be a starting point on your path to Sikhi.
  10. You are absolutely right in saying that the parents should be the main teachers but the problem is who is going to teach the parents. The parents have very little understanding about our religion, about ours basics of doing nitnem ,doing sewa, going to the Gurudwaras regularly and how can they be expected to teach their children. Most parents in the west do not even teach our mother language Punjabi to their children. If this problem is not tackled at the earliest, it would have disastrous effects on our coming generations.
  11. What was there to laugh about and calling him a sick Sikh. Do not laugh at your own .
  12. Respect for whom, bro? What are you trying to say here? Please clarify.
  13. If Sikh faith is not intelligent enough to keep its present followers, who is at fault? Mind your idiotic language and do not dare to write derogatory remarks about our faith. You are a <banned word filter activated> who has no intelligence whatsoever.
  14. Is that why Islam is the fastest growing religion in the world? 6 million people that do leave, another 12 million may join. Do not confuse me friend I’m not a Muslim, I am just stating the fact. You have mentioned only the uneducated are leaving the Sikh faith, well as human nature we will always follow the majority and what we are impressed by. Another proof of your confused and inferior mind set when you say, well as human nature we will always follow the majority and what we are impressed by. You may be impressed by the majority because you are a weakling and have no pride in our own faith. Learn to be proud of your religion.
  15. Sikhs have never lost a war? Sikh never fought a war on a large scale as they did with Anglo Sikh wars, much of the warfare fought in the period of the Moguls was guerilla warfare and even then many Sikhs were massacred. Many Sikhs in the past fought battles that were fought with strategy with declining number in mind also support from non-Sikh armies, which was seen as an opportunity to over throw the Moghul Raaj in Northern India. Can you stop undermining the glorious history of the Sikhs. Sikhs were the only people who dared to challenge the atrocities of the Muslim rulers and gave them a bloody nose. The sacrifices and unflinching courage in the face of extreme adversity is unparalleled in the history of mankind. You are totally ignorant and know nothing of our history.
  16. Very valid points. But who is going to do this parchar? Who will lead this movement to achieve what our leaders achieved in the 1920s.
  17. But do you guys know the fact that it is the muslim parents who teach namaaz to their children right from a very young age. The muslim children as young as two or three years of age can speak verses from the quran which is in arabic. These children did not learn this from anyone else but their own parents who put so much effort in this. Can the same be said of Sikh parents. How will the children learn paath and know about our religion?
  18. Please do not generalise and make such ridiculous statements. Sikhism as a faith and religion is the most optimistic of all other faiths. Sikhs are and never will be pessimistic and will always be in Chardi Kala.
  19. You have painted a very depressing picture on the state of affairs of our religion. Why don't we talk of finding solutions to our situation? It is of no use of talking of problems if we are not prepared to do something about it. The problems have to be faced head on and tackled positively.
  20. JALANDHAR: A US Sikh resident, Resham Singh, who has been claiming that he had seen Congress leader Jagdish Tytler leading the mob of rioters during 1984 anti-Sikh riots has now approached a Delhi court through an affidavit requesting that his testimony about Tytler's role in the November 1984 killing of Sikhs be recorded before court gives its final verdict on the closure report filed by CBI. In his affidavit sent to a Delhi court, Resham Singh has described the details of efforts carried out by him from 2008 till December 2011 to have CBI record his testimony regarding Tytler's involvement in the attack on Gurudwara Pul Bangash. In his affidavit he alleged that when the CBI team was in US to record the statements of witnesses (Surinder Singh and Jasbir Singh) in December 2008 he specially travelled from California to New York and waited outside the Indian Consulate in New York for four days and his presence was also told to the CBI team. He alleged that despite his best efforts the CBI team did not record his statement even though its team was specifically in the US to record witnesses' statements about Tytler's role in the November 1984 killing of Sikhs. Resham Singh who used to drive a taxi in Delhi in 1984, claims that on November 1, 1984, he saw Tytler leading a mob outside Gurudwara Pul Bangash. Three Sikhs were burnt alive in the attack and slogans "khoon ka badla khoon" were raised. Attorney Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, legal advisor to Sikhs for Justice (SFJ), the rights group representing victims and witnesses of November 1984, stated that Resham Singh has now directly approached the Delhi court as a last resort because CBI ignored and failed to record his testimony. "Despite Nanavati Commission directive to investigate Tytler's role and looking at CBI team's resolute refusal to record Resham's testimony during its visit to USA, it appears that CBI has been acting as Tytler's defense team instead of an investigating agency," alleged attorney Pannun. He said that on January 25, 2012, victims' counsels Navkiran Singh and Kamna Vohra would argue before the court that the CBI failed to properly investigate Tytler's role in the killings and thus the closure report accepted in April 2010 should be rejected and the court should order a reinvestigation of Tytler's role. http://timesofindia....-Jagdish-Tytler

  22. It is very sad and disturbing to note that SGPC has not taken any action against these offenders.
  23. Numbers have no significance in Sikhism.
