  1. I head this from someone (cant remember) but they said Punjab will slowly be taken away by the deras belonging to nirankaris, radhaoswamis and etc. it was also said that it will be reclaimed but dont the exact details.
  2. I agree. I believe it was Bhai Jagraj Singh from Basics of Sikhs explaining we don't need Khalistan we need India. We probably have India since Sikhism is pretty influential amongst a lot of the Indian regions. Now going beyond this context only time will tell. The Indo-Russia joint venture is a good start you can say.
  3. Trust it, apnay are not that quick to pick up a gun unless it's drug related. The honor stuff is a different story but other than that we usually stay out of each other's way. I do think about Sikh rule but it's not going to happen through Khalistan. It will take time to adopt to diplomatic thinking and rule. It seems like a lot of these political players are clever folks which hate to say but we have to adopt to this mindset? But very interesting stuff you wrote there.
  4. I don't know how you look at this but that last one is one of us if Indian news agencies are all up on this. We just got to be the biggers ones you can say.
  5. These guys are reporting events in our community before our Punjabi News agencies itself. 1. Ripudaman Singh Malik (shot) 2. Hardeep Singh Nijjar (shot) 3. Avtar Singh Khanda (dead-natural circumstances but theres speculation he was poisoned) 4. Amanpreet Singh Samra (shot) Just stay safe out there.
  6. You can't really blame them. I agree, we Sikhs deserve our own country but we have to work on ourselves individually. We have to aim for the status of Maharaja Bhupinder Singh but still keep our Guru in our minds. This is no easy task.
  7. Just do your thing brother. Khalra gave a speech here in Toronto which was inspiring but we still have apnay yelling: "Khalistan".
  8. I agree. We can't believe what the media writes these days but when a someone gets killed for speaking up then it becomes a problem.
  9. There's an article stating he got poisoned. Messed up.
  10. Sorry to hear about the loss of your sister. This definetly a good topic. Alot of us forget to rest in this fast paced world we are living in. We are mostly on the run, not concious of our diets and dont get enough exercise, couple this with a lack of sleep. You sister changed up her diet for the better but it seems she didnt not get enough sleep. We hear stories of brahamgyanis not sleeping but the environment in which most of us live in-we need sleep. This does not mean however you are always sleeping in to the point you become lazy.
  11. My apologies. Just saying living in the moment and not caring what others are doing is the best way to live...does not necessarily have to be like that character in Scarface. Alot of journalists live up to the ethics when reporting for the public. Alot of them will get spied on when they enlighten the public with cold facts. When the Ghadar Party were writing their own newspaper the British use to send spies to their meetings to gather information. But it could've been very easy for the Party to make up stories about the British. And of course, with the advancement of technology these days its very easy to keep a eye on someone. We are probably a threat to this civilization b/c of our influence. This is actually a deep topic if you think about it. Look at the Sikhs that were accused of the Air India crash 185. Its something to learn from b/c to this day only one of them were found guilty and thats b/c he lied.
  12. Let ask you. Do you want to live like Al Pacino from Scarface or do you want to be the police men that are spying on him?
  13. Thats the key word right there, "spy". With this technological age, it probably safe to assume that alot of this goes on. Spying and journalism probably should not go hand in hand.
  14. Is it me or are we seeing alot of fake news? For example, here in Canada more specifically Toronto, it seems some of the news here is fabricated. There seems to be a lot of deep issues written in new articles that journalists seem to be very "passe" about.
  15. Chanting, intense meditation, austere self-discipline, pleasure, peace, honor, greatness and pride-O'musan, I would sacrifice again and again all these for a moment of my Lord's Love. -GGS Ji
  16. Btw always be ready and stay ready. This was the hukam of our 10th Guru.
  17. Bhai Amritpal Singh is sorrounded by alot intelligent gursikhs. Saw one his broadcasts on t.v. and was impressed. But we Sikhs out in he west got to do better. We have influence, just need unity.
  18. If a time is coming it could be much worse than another war (in which being prepared will be pointless).
  19. Probably not wise to start up with government. Agreee or not but Sidhu Moosewala was the bigger threat. He had that mentality. His threat level was very high during the farmer's protest. The governments kept a eye on him and eventually eliminated him-can say this w/ confidence.
  20. I know for a fact Ron (Jimmy) Dosanjh from Vancouver, Canada was the leader of it. These guys later went to organized crime and called themselves GGB (giani's gone bad). Unfortunately his life ended in the drug game after the shooting of this brother.
  21. Both these guys are cool with Jagraj of course being admired for what he did for our community. Just wished Humble found a girl to settle down with...
  22. WJKK WJKF I'm in the same boat as you. My sleep and diet is poor. I'm educated such as yourself but struggle to keep a real job. Never had a real relationship with the opposite gender. Can't say much about past life but I do catch myself slandering. Going for walks and reflecting on yourself helps. Listening to shabad gurbani while walking is another way of clearing your mind. Also never talk ill of someone with somebody else this is probably the first step to move ahead. This is probably something we have to figure out ourselves. WJKK WJKF
