  1. Vaheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Vaheguru Ji Ki Fateh || I agree we need to be organized but before all of that we need to get an adequate leader, someone willing to take charge. Sant Ranjit Singh and Sant Daduwale are taking up te front but we need the Jathedar of Sri Akal Takhat Sahib Ji and the other Takhat Sahib Jis Jathedars of the other Takhats to lead the Sarbat Khalsa once more. We need our armies (Bhudda Dal, Taruna Dal, Khalistan Commando Force, etc.) to once more take a stand but not with outright violence. We must start off peaceful like the 1900's agitations wether they were against the British or Hindustan Sarkar. They started peaceful and only turned to violence when the enemy would listen after many protests etc. Remember When All Other Means Fail It Is Righteous To Pick Up The Sword. But Only When All Other Means Fail. But when it does turn To Picking Up The Sword We Must Not Be The Ones To Retreat Or Back Down. Zulam Karna Paap Zulam Saina Mahapaap. 3. Vaheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Vaheguru Ji Ki Fateh || ------------ In 1964, when some of the holy weapons of Guru Gobind Singh were brought back from England, an Englishman, in complete Sikh form, accompanied the weapons. The Englishman was asked by someone the reason for his adopting the Sikh form. "Was it due to respect for the weapons or was there any other reason?" The explanation given by him at Gurdwara Bangla Sahib is... "My name was A. David. I happened to be commanding a Sikh Regiment during World War II. My Regiment suffered very heavy losses. Most of the soldiers of my Battalion were killed. Only a few survived, and we were all surrounded. As there were very remote chances for our survival, I called the Subedar Major of the Battalion and informed him about our precarious situation. Death was facing us and there was no chance of our survival. I suggested to him that the soldiers should individually attempt to escape from the enemy encirclement and save their lives. "The Subedar Major replied, 'We cannot bring disgrace to the Sikh Regiment by running away from the battlefield.' However, he had a suggestion that they should perform an Akhand Path (a continuous reading of the Siri Guru Granth Sahib) and take action as guided by the divine hukam. Accordingly, necessary security arrangements were made and the Akhand Path was completed without interruption. After the ardas, the hukam was explained to me by Subedar Major and the granthi (religious teacher). The guidance given by the hukam was that we should not abandon the battlefield; victory will be ours. "Then I conveyed to them the miracle that I had witnessed during the ardas. While standing with my eyes closed during the prayer, a fully armed Sikh on horseback, with a unique grandeur, appeared in front of me and ordered 'Follow me.' I pointed out the direction in which the fully armed Sikh went after giving the order, and asked the Sikh soldiers about the identity of the warrior. The Subedar Major said that by my description, he knew it was none other than Guru Gobind Singh. So, we got ready and launched an attack in the direction pointed out by the Guru. After a short while, we were able to break through the enemy encirclement and save ourselves. We then got in touch with the Brigade Commander on wireless and requested additional help. "After the war, I reflected upon the incident and the divine personality who had saved my life and my men's lives from a desperate situation by ordering me to follow him. I made up my mind to follow him for the rest of my life. I resigned from the army, and along with my daughter, I embraced Sikhism with the initiation ceremony of the Khalsa. Now my name is Devinder Singh and my daughter's name is Surjit Kaur. This is due to the blessings of Guru Gobind Singh who took pity on us and made us his disciples." This incident was narrated to me by my younger brother Sardar Raghbir Singh (Retired Subedar), who happened to be present at Gurdwara Bangla Sahib on the day the Englishman (Devinder Singh) narrated his above mentioned personal experience. They were a near the city of Calgary ( about 3 hours away from Edmonton). 10. Vaheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Vaheguru Ji Ki Fateh || I found this Sakhi on sikhawareness.com. :khalsa2: --------- This is a part of my article on Bhai Sadhu Ji and his son Bhai Roop Chand Ji, who were carpenters by profession: - [align=center:ce4294ba72]-----[/align:ce4294ba72] ------------------- Bhai Saadhu Ji and Bhai Roop Chand Ji were carpenters by their profession. Cutting wood was a part of their profession. They used to go to the nearby forest to get wood for them. It was hot summer. The scorching wind was blowing out there. As usual, Bhai Saadhu Ji and Bhai Roop Chand Ji went to the jungle to cut some wood for them. They took some water in leathern water bag with them. They reached in the forest and hung the leathern water bag on a branch of a tree. They started to cut the branches of other trees. They worked hard for sometime. Then, Bhai Roop Chand Ji felt thirsty. He touched the leathern water bag to take some water from it. It was so cold. He said to his father, "Father, the water is so cold. It is worthy for Guru Ji. Guru Ji should come here and drink this. This water is excellent. All the excellent things are for our holy Guru Ji". He did not drink the water and sat on the ground. His father joined him. They closed their eyes and remembered Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji. After some moments, both of them started to work again. Then, Bhai Saadhu Ji thought that his son did not drink water. He wanted that his beloved son should take some water in this hot weather conditions. Therefore, he went himself to get water for his son. When he touched the water bag, he realized that his son was right saying water was so cold. Bhai Saadhu Ji thought, "My son is intelligent. This water is excellent. Every excellent thing should be for Guru Ji". He did not take water either and sat on ground. His son also came near to him and sat there. Both of them had been cutting wood for a long time in so hot weather. They were too thirsty. Cold water was there, but they were not ready to drink it. The water in their water bag was excellent, so it was to be taken by their Guru Ji first. Only then, they would touch it. They were confounded because of thirst. Bhai Saadhu Ji said, "I want my Guru J to drink this water first. Guru Ji is in village Daroli, several miles away. It is a hot mid-day. It seems that there is fire burning in all the directions. How is it possible that Guru Ji would come here and accept this water as our offerings?" His son replied, "Father, Guru Ji is omniscient. He will listen to our prayer". They again tried to continue with their woodcutting job, but could not do because of harsh thirst. Now, they sat on ground and started to meditate on Guru Ji. They were remembering their Guru, Sri Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji, who was several miles away from them. A dense jungle, a water bag hanging on a branch of a tree, two lovers remembering their beloved, and the beloved is several miles away. Is the love a child's play? The love is a different game. It wants you to be always ready to put yourself in every test. It makes the lovers dance on fire. It wants the lovers to recite his beloved's hymns under the shadow of a saw in Chandni Chowk. It requires having the patience to be cut into small pieces in a Chowk of Lahore city. If love is a different game, its impact is deeper. The love has the ability to attract the beloved; even if he is several miles away. The true love can fascinate the beloved, no matter if he is Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji himself. The lovers are in the jungle. Their eyes are closed. Their hearts are full of love for their beloved. The image of the beloved is printed on their minds. However, where is the beloved? He is in village of Daroli. He is lying on his royal bed in a cold room, which is perfumed very well. His relatives are talking to him. The two lovers are thirsty and are in pain; even then, the beloved is enjoying the pleasures? No, not at all. It could give the impression that he is talking to his relatives. It may perhaps look as if he is not aware what is happening there in far forest several miles away. No, it is not so. The beloved too is thinking of his lovers. The love has already fascinated him. Look, he is going rapidly towards his stable. Now, he has ridden on his horse. Look at him. He is making his horse run very fast. He is advancing towards the jungle. See, he has reached near his lovers. Bhai Saadhu Ji and Bhai Roop Chand Ji were in deep meditation. Then, in that forest, they heard a voice. "Any body there? I am so thirsty. I need some water". Wow! He is thirsty. Is he? Yes, he is. He has always thirst for love. The lovers opened their eyes. A horseman is there asking for some water. A warrior is looking at them. He is not an ordinary horseman. He is not just one in the crowd of warriors. He is the holy King of thousands of hearts. He is the light of the God Almighty. He is the most handsome angel on this planet. He is the beloved they are waiting for. In addition, he is asking for some water. They were delighted to see Sri Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji before their eyes. Their joy cannot be described in words. Guru Ji came close to them and said, "I am thirsty. I need some water, but in this forest, I do not see any water". Both of them touched the holy feet of Guru Ji and said, "Prabhu, Water is ready. We did not drink it. It is for you, Guru Ji". Can mere water be a valuable offering to the Guru? Great is my Guru. He made his Sikhs feel that they did something for their Guru. Otherwise, Guru does not need anything. Oh my beloved Guru! I am sacrificed to you. Bhai Roop Chand Ji took the leathern water bag and Bhai Saadhu Ji put water in a 'Doona' (a cup prepared from leaves) and gave it to Guru Ji. Guru Ji drank the water and said, "Water is nice. I have never drunk such tasteful water. I am satisfied. Now, drink the water yourself". Both of them, then, drank water and satisfied their thirst. -------- Vaheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Vaheguru Ji Ki Fateh ||

If our brother wants Shaheedee we shouldn't stop him. Just like Dhan Dhan Baba Ajit Singh Ji and Dhan Dhan Amar Shaheed Baba Deep Singh Ji who laid down their lives for the Chardi Kala of the Panth Bhai Sahib Ji wants to attain Shaheedi... HE OPENLY ACCEPTED CHARGE AGAINST HIMSELF AND THEN REQUESTED SHAHEEDI INSTEAD OF BAIL ETC! We should be inspired by him and support him not attempt to stop his final wish. :khalsa: :waheguru: :khalsa2: Vaheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Vaheguru Ji Ki Fateh ||

  15. Vaheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Vaheguru Ji Ki Fateh || I know we are all upset about the Badal winning election etc. but a Katha Vachik/Santhaya Teacher/Friend of Sant Jarnail Singh Ji Khalsa Bhindranwale and other Taksal Gursikhs once said this that politics is corrupted but SAD is supposed to be our party bit until we don't get immandar leaders its going to corrupted. But even Sant Ji (Bhindranwale) supported SAD. You know what that Gursikh ( the Katha Vachik/Santhaya Teacher/Friend of Sant Jarnail Singh Ji Khalsa Bhindranwale and other Taksal Gursikhs) said I tell the people that vote for congress one thing. We are fools for voting in congress. They killed 3000 ( somebody correct me if i am wrong ) Sikhs in 2 days ( again correct if wrong). The SAD has had great leaders and it has had more leaders that care about Gursikhi than the other parties. At least the SAD doesn't kill innocent Gursikhs. The congress i attacking from inside. How about all those spy agencies set up during the 80's that still exist to this day to montior supposed anti-national sentiments within Sikhs( more like check to see of theres someone we need to kill in a false encounter or put a false charge against). 19. VAHEGURU JI KA KHALSA VAHEGURU JI KI FATEH || Sardar Raghbir Singh Bir Sardar Raghbir Singh Bir was a Sikh businessman who used to live in Calcutta (Bengal). His family was originally from Lahore and his father Sardar Lehna Singh also was a very good Gurmukh. At first Bir jee got interested in Sikhi and he wrote the famous book Bandaginama on his spiritual experiences. In this book he writes that he used to dye and tie his beard, even though he knew it was a wrong practice. He did so at the order of his father who was not a religious person at that time. Later on, when his father Sardar Lehna Singh got infected with many diseases including arthritis, he took up Sikhi to cure himself. He did so much Abhyaas of Gurbani and Naam that within a very short period he became perfectly healthy. Till his last breath, at the age of 85, he maintained the body of a 25 years old youth. He wrote a wonderful book on his experiences and is called Gurmukh Jeevan. He was a fanatic as far as not using worldly medicine is concerned. He considered himself as pure Atma and conducted his business as such. Once, he hurt his foot and he did all things opposite to what doctor suggested. He did not tie his foot with a bandage and deliberately exposed it to water (as opposed to doctor's advice) and still got healed. First of all he never got sick but if he ever did, he used to conduct his business as usual and ate normal as well. He totally used to reject the notion of disease because he believed that a disease cannot occur to Atma. Once, Bir jee and Sardar jee (Lehna Singh jee) started talking about the Atma saroop of the Jeev. Bir jee questioned that if we were truly Atma, then why was there a need to sleep. At this Sardar jee agreed and then proved it by not sleeping for many days, and still not feeling any tiredness or fatigue. He used to do his regular work all day, and at night would come to the bedside of his son and all night do Naam Abhyaas. Once a thought came to his mind that why should he use the mosquito net for protection from mosquitoes. He argued that the mosquitoes contained the same Parmatma Vaheguru as all of us and as such they should not bite him and hurt him. So he removed the net and also removed his shirt and slept with kachera only. The next morning his body was so badly bitten by the mosquitoes that there was not a part on his body that was unhurt. Sardar jee laughed it off saying that the reason why mosquitoes had hurt him was that he had some hidden hatred and negative feeling for them. Then he did Naam Abhyaas all day and kept affirming again and again that the mosquitoes were a roop of Vaheguru and that Vaheguru jee could not hurt him. Within couple of days, the mosquitoes stopped biting him at all and then all his life he never slept with mosquito net and he never got hurt by mosquitoes. Sardar Raghbir Singh Bir wrote some excellent books which include the following titles: Sarb Rog ka Aukhand Naam - This books talks about curing oneself through Naam and Gurbani. Chardi Kala - This book contains chosen articles that bring Chardi Kala to one's life. Safal Jeevan - This books talks about how to have a successful live - both worldly and spiritual. Ramzi Kahaniyaan - This book contains some fictitious stories that are full of spirituality and spiritual secrets. A must read for serious seekers. Ardaas Shakti - This book talks about the concept of Ardaas in Sikhi and how to do such an Ardaas that gets heard by Vaheguru jee. Bir jee writes of his experience after stopping to dye and tie his beard. He writes how he started getting treated differently everywhere he went. If he would be standing in a queue, he would get moved to the top because of his appearance etc. COURTESY OF KULBIR SINGH GURMATBIBEK.COM VAHEGURU JI KA KHALSA VAHEGURU JI KI FATEH ||
