  1. Waheguru ji ka khalsa, waheguru ji ki fateh well, i finally get time to add to this post, and this is something that I've wanted to do for a while, i just was not able to get time, and for that im sorry. first off.. congratulations to all of my sisters and brothers that joined in to the Sikh panth Guru ji is great, and this proves that Sikhi will never die out  I wanted to be one of the first to post, cus I thought it was just APDF veerji, i did not know that there were so many of our brothers and sisters joining. jio, i just have to add something about my veerji, APDF. veerji has been such an insperation to me. being my chote veerji, im so delighted to say that i have learned so much from him. Here is someone who is very down to earth and always there to remind me that my Guru ji is with me. I am so happy that veerji was given the chance to join the panth. thank you veerji for everything and may guru ji keep you forever happy and in chardhi kala. again to everyone  congratulations  bhul chuk maaf
  2. Waheguru ji ka khalsa, waheguru ji ki fateh..... jio, just one thing I have to say, if it ever came to the point that it is only raag that is sung, my heart will cry with pain. I understand that raag is important, but isnt it true that guru jis bani should be sung ... his words should be understood, they should be said from the heart.... I would like the oppurtunity to sit in front of my guru ji with sangat and sing kirtan.... I dont have the bhudhi to do raag... i tried at one time but was unable to learn it properly... it was with sangat... regular people.... who taught me how to do kirtan.. they sang it from their heart... and tried to teach me the words to sing from my heart... i appreciate the fact that the true way to do kirtan is in raag.. but I dont think there is something wrong when the sangat gets togoether to sing guru ji's words ... from their hearts.... as for simran... simran is very important... it might be just recently that it is incorporated in sangat... but I doubt that it just started now.. simran has been around for thousands and thousands of years... the repetition of naam, before it was done by an individual by themselves. now its done in sangat... the love u feel when simran is done... man... its amazing... that link of that person doing kirtan, i understand that it sounds disrespectful. and at first i would say that too that this should not be done like this... simran should be done with sehaj.. it is to help us control our bodies and minds.... but who are we to judge this person.... if hes wrong guru ji will himself stop him, if this was at the time of one of our first ten guru's and they found something wrong they would have stopped it, today we still have our maharaj there.. he will stop this if he does not like it..... overall i think most people who do kirtan, not in raag, understand that the way they are doing kirtan may not be the way that guru ji said it, but they are his words... and they sing from the heart... dont take that away from people.... bhul chuk maaf

  7. "hey sony there's one film in which the sikhs were shown in a good light, tht was the burning train. remember the scene in which the khalsa gave his turban to the school teacher to tie the children inspite of the objection from his wife.tht was a true khalsa being shown." Thanks for this, I have not seen this movie as i got tired of watching bollywood bash Sikhs I will get this movie to watch. But veerji, did u see the difference? when it came to listing the movies that showed Sikh's in a bad light.. u were able to give so many. when it came to listing the movies that showed Sikh's in a good light... u named one. jio this is what we are talking about... it is so imbalanced. bollywood is not just for fun... these people are role models to our kids. Sikhs are embarrased with the way they show them because that is not who they are. and as i said before, its what u post that people look at when they pass judgment here.... and it was the reply to Gurpreet Singh that put a negative view of u in my mind first and then the reply to Daasn Daas. although i admit he could have phrased his words differently, but Daasn Daas has been here and I have seen some of his other posts and therefore I dont judge him by just that one post. but I have not read other posts of urs.. jsut whats here..... bhul chuk maaf Fateh
  8. Who are you to come to this site and post all this stuff about people. I was not gonna say anything about this, but ur new to this site. u do not know the people here. The way u replied to Gurpreet Singh and Daasn Daas and I believe it was you who replied to Khalsa aswell... is just plain rude. If you come here to put ur ideas down, ur more then welcome to but in a civilized way. u were fine when u were arguing with them but why leave now? cus no one is arguing rudely at ur level? I ask u to stay and share ur views... tell us why u think we are wrong here.. but in a civilized way. U do not know these people that u have spoken to so rudely and when i read ur posts, i have to tell u that they got me very angry... this is not a live session... people judge u by what u post.. and from the way u started... what did u expect their view of u would be? why do u think they are picking on u? if u are civilized people will speak with u like that... if u come here and speak so rudely to others that is not acceptable. bhul chuk maaf
  9. Waheguru ji well.... do u know how i am? how can u sit there and ask me where i was when this stuff was happening? how do u know that i did not argue then? please again i ask u not to pass judgement. Thank You. To add on to that. Just because no one spoke up against injustice then does that mean that we should not speak up now? When Guru Nanak Dev Ji came into this world he came for a purpose.. there was so much going on and he came to stop it, lol he didnt say, well guys, this has been going on for a while, no one stood up before, so maybe i'll just leave it.... thats not how things work....we need to follow his example. Next, u've just proved that there are many movies in which Sikhs are shown down, looking at ur list I feel that there is an even greater need to fix what is happening in Bollywood and we've left it for too long. Would u be able to provide me with a list of movies that has ever shown the Khalsa in its true light? bhul chuk maaf
  10. who says khalsa is just in punjab? Khalsa is all around the world.. and like u said, the Sikh faith isnt that strict.. u wanna drink.. by all means do. The khalsa is strong enough to have it sitting in front of them and not drink. the true Khalsa. they dont need to get it banned. why do u make assumptions like that? why would i say they are not khalsa? i know a lot of people in punjab that are khalsa. Please dont pass judgement on people or on what u think they will say. Thank you bhul chuk maaf Fateh
  11. what u mean 'it can'...some of the people posting replies here (YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE...and yes...if your thinking in the back of your head..is he talking about me...IAM). Seriously....these people have become msn...if that makes anysense...ive heard they cant stand sunlight... 100995[/snapback] he's right!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! sob sob waaaaaaaaaaahhhh waaaaaaaaahh :'( it burnsssssssss!!!!!!!!!!!11
  12. we are not worried about buny and babli, but about the kids that watch this and think that its ok.... if u r not worried about it then good for you. live and let live right.. let the people that worry about it worry about it then... dont worry about the people that are worrying
  13. lol.. u really are funny.... by not drinking u do become a better Sikh or Khalsa... because u have control over ur actions and thoughts... as someone pointed out.. our Guru's have told us to stay away from such things... and I believe there is a reason for that... as for people going after u about this topic.. that should show u in itself.. that there are many out there who dont drink.. there are many out there who oppose... check it out man.. on this forum... its like 80% who are against drinking and 20% who are for... hmmmm..... the 80% must be right!!!!!!!!!! if we go by numbers and look at what the majority do... yaaaay
  14. lol i dont think people are ignorent tothe fact that 90% of the people born into Sikh families may drink or smoke, although personally I know that number is way off. I think what people are trying to say here is that from the number or people that are Khalsa, and when I say Khalsa, i mean true Khalsa that follow guru ji's rehat.... 0% drink... drinking is not an external look thing... it is something that harms ur body, it is an intoxicant that has the ability to make u lose control over urself and ur actions.... Again, you may see all these people and they may drink... but when u see a true Khalsa, you will know..... bhul chuk maaf Fateh
  15. Forget foootballll (blah) Hockey rules!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (when it starts up again ) GO CANADA GO
  16. people wanna change things so it fits in to what they want... they change the religion to suit their needs.... to say the khalsa drinks accept it is just a load of........ why not stand up for what it should be like.. just because the elders have been misguided or are wrong, should the youth follow? well lets see.. if so many people drink and we should just be ok with it, then the fact that there are many people that.. sleep around... or rob (steal), kill people... we should be ok with it.. no cus its wrong, its against a persons beliefs... i know people are going to say these things are not the same.. but for a Sikh, for a true Khalsa, they are... they go against what our Guru ji told us.... and like i said before... ith appens.. i know people drink and smoke, i've seen many do it when they are in sikhi saroop.. fine u wanna show it, show it... but u should also show what a true Sikh should be like, and show that this person is wrong and what the consequences of their actions and choices should be.... Bollywood does not do this.... they are one sided..... bhul chuk maaf
  17. Just because a the number of people that drink is larger then the ones that don't does not make it right and real.... Real Khalsa follow Guru ji's rehat... dont call them Khalsa if they are gyani's and drink they are not khalsa,
  18. just to add to this... when they show muslims being terrorists in movies.. notice that there is always at least one muslim who is shown as being calm, understanding and loving... the way most muslims see themselves....... the opposite is there to try to show that not all are like that.... that this is what the ideal muslim is like.... this is what bollywood is missing when it comes to Sikhi... the other side
  19. waheguru ji ka khalsa, waheguru ji ki fateh, it's true that there are many who drink and smoke or whatever else... and to say that these movies are portraying things that are not real is untrue... they are real... but if you make a movie that shows that side, there should be movies made to show the other side aswell.... but bollywood movies do not do that. I dont think i have seen one movie that portrays the Sikh image of a Sikh how they should be... (dont know if that sentance makes sense.. but in a rush so i wnot be reading it over) neway.... A real Sikh would not drink or smoke... the Khalsa, does not drink.... and along side showing a person who is portrayed as a Sikh doing this, they should be showing that aswell that this is not the way it should be. that this person is not living up to the ideals of a real Sikh. You cant just show one side which is what bollywood does, and for that reason i think people have gotten sick and tired of it now...
  20. u guys.... i know.. me was just saying .... i know how fortunate we are.... the world is so beautiful man  a rose, dolphins... life..... lol man APDF i was just trying to bug u
  21. actually this was also shown on Sur Sagar TV program. they did an interview with those people and there is a video.. so i'll try to get that if i can. but everything u see in those pictures, well thats basically it. its all true.... in the video u just see them walking around drunk aswell..... neway i will try to get the video and see if we can put a clip online or something and find out who the baba is
  22. Veerji, as someone reminded me before... so really.... what is being blessed?
