WAHEGURU JI KA KHALSA WAHEGURU JI KI FATEH The way i see it is... i dont see no contradiction between science and Sikhi. As previously mentioned science always change their theories. However i would like to add that the Gurbani says theres two side of everything (i remember hearing about quotes from the Siri Guru Granth Sahib Ji on this- it would be kool if sum1 could post them here- lol i dunno which ones they were). E.g. alcohol has two sides aswell... its can be good i.e. makes you sococialise however Gurbani forbids us coz its overall bad for us... (i.e. kills living cells, lung problems etc). Simulary Amrit Vela may have its bad points - i.e. get less sleep, however its overall more beneficial to us, otherwise Guru Ji wouldnt of told us, coz it for starters gives us more time in the day to pray and fit all our busy schedule in. Also when i wake up early at Amritvela i feel more relaxed throughout the day and i can hear my self reciting Gurbani without me even making a effort... which is really kool... coz i feel better and i know thats what God wants me to do to meditate on his naam/him. Penji/paaji i think to make yourself concentrate more in lesson try to avoid too much TV (it can make u lazy, tired and more demotivated) (lol- soz bout being too long, i cant control my self when im writing) WAHEGURU JI KA KHALSA WAHEGURU JI KI FATEH

WAHEGURU JI KA KHALSA WAHEGURU JI KI FATEH Lol... by the looks of it these ppl are so insecure that they have to make things up about Sikhi... I contacted one of the ppl about another article cuple of weeks back that they made stuff up about Sikhi... coz he essentially written that Guru Nanak made stuff up and he said anyone can make things up... now thats funny how he believes in Jesus Christ and didnt that rule apply to him 'that anyone can make things up'? and i told them please dont write things that you dont have knowledge about, looks like they never listened to my advice anyways. Anyways about this... i think the site is actually made by Christians... i dont know if it was this site (but im pretty sure it was this one) i had also noticed an article about a Christian who said that his faith was shaken in Christianity since his Hindu friend said that a verse in the Bible was a rip off from the Hindu Vedas (which i think it was the same verse in the Vedas which John took i think -chapter 1 verse 11 summet like taht) and the man replied and gave a big long example that ppl can make things up... and gave him some questions to ask his friend and he told him to ask proof. And all the articles on the site are biased towards other faiths... if you read carefully they make Christianity things sound like facts and the other faiths asif its man-made and there not reliable. Lol... this person doesnt a have a clue what hes on about - it was 500 yrs ago since Sikhi began and not 300 yrs ago... and since he mentioned Guru Nanak he should of known that and its funny how he said that the argument began since one of his parents were Muslim and one was Hindu... For starters his father was a Hindu... Mehta Kalu. But anyways it would of been common sense for the writer to know that his father wasnt a Muslim... coz as per my knowledge in those days this would been a unherd of... a Muslim and a Hindu getting married. And if his father was a Muslim... surely he would of converted her to Islam... since a Muslim aint alowed to marry a person who worships idols since this is a grave sin in Islam to worshi idols. And looking at the era of that time when Hindus were slaughtered by Muslims... does he really think the Muslim rulers would of allowed this... when Hindus were slaughtered just coz of there religion... now what would the ruler of done knowing that a fellow Muslim married a Hindu? Now to the comment: 'The conflict between their faiths led him to seek another, deeper reality, and his teachings became known as Sikhism.' This comment doesnt make sense... coz Guru Nanak when he had his experience with God... God told him what to preach... and it wasnt Guru Nanaks need to 'seek another'. This comment is like saying Jesus Christ born a Jew in which there was conflicts between the 2 sects (one believed in the literal teaching of the prophets and the other said no it doesnt have to be followed literally- in which Jesus Christ said the laws has to be followed literally) led him to seek another 'Christianity'. WAHEGURU JI KA KHALSA WAHEGURU JI KI FATEH I agree with Ishna penji, we shouldnt make any1 behave properly, what they do has nothing to do with us however its our duty to show them the way (not force them- just educate them what Sikhi really says) and if they dont want to follow what we adviced them then its totally up to them... they got their own life to live. And when then 'realise' that what they were doing was wrong then its our responsibility to guide them back towards the right path. By forcing them... we will just end making them have hate towards God and Sikhi and instead of praying to God out of love... they will just end up praying out of hate- which aint right. If God wanted to force them to behave properly... he could of... but no Gods gave them the free-will to learn from there mistakes... who are we to interfere? WAHEGURU JI KA KHALSA WAHEGURU JI KI FATEH I think there is only two groups of ppl and not three- the non-Muslims and the Muslims. Since in Islam (well according to my knowledge which i had learnt ages ago... so my knowledge is getting lower since i forget things easily) Is classed in two groups: Dur-e-Islam something like that and theres another group aswell (cant remember the name). one of the group means the house of Allah i think... (where Islam is- i.e Islamic countries) and the other group is i think is where theres a war/struggle where its non-Islamic- and where Islam needs to spead i.e. non-Islamic countries. And i think that Muslim has got the wrong message of Waahbi: Waahbi doesnt come in the picture as a third group... since it was only began in 1700's to 'revive' the true principles of Islam... and i dont think Waahbi's actually are clean shaven... they actually value the gift of hair and have beards... (like we Sikhs do) (except for the fact i think Muslims arnt allowed to let the mucha go over thier lips since its considered haram- i think- not sure on that one though). I agree with Khalistan (i think) but that dont mean that im not Indian no more... (well i wont be- until Khalistan is formed). And paaji talking about Britain... (since you mentioned about Indian history)... werent the British the one's to massacre 100 Sikhs in Amritsar? Werent they the ones who divided and ruled and caused all the religions in India against each other... which also turned other religions against us Sikhs aswell? Which every religious community paid for during 47?! I don't think it was the Shia's that killed Hazrat Ali, it was a Sunni (coz they are the one's who believe that only the prophet Muhammed's family should continue to spread Islam or be the Islamic leader (caliph) and the Sunni's believe anyone can, and it doesnt have to be from the prophet Muhammeds family). WAHEGURU JI KA KHALSA WAHEGURU JI KI FATEH Don't worry about it bro/Sis ever since i got into Sikhi, my family keeps on taking the micky aswell, when ever i put paath on... they start laughing and joke about it and say that 'tu sadhu ban chaleya?' (are gonna become a holy person?). But i think every1 is getting use to it now (me putting Gurbani on nearly all the time... when im on the net n most of the time when im watching Tv, or when travelling i always say but Baba's (dharmik or Gurbani) tape on). So don't worry about it... i think its gonna take your parents time to ajust to the idea of you becoming holy. I think this might because of the fact of ppl around us (esp in West) the youth are doing bad stuff... and seing a youth doing something right... might feel weird and 'not right' (coz its not what they use to seeing- if you get what im saying, so it'll take time to ajust to this idea of you becoming holy).
