  3. You need parent consent to get married if you're under the age of 18 in the UK The marriageable age is in England and Wales: 16 with consent of parents, 18 otherwise. in Scotland: 16 in Northern Ireland: 17 with consent, 18 otherwise
  4. One girls becomes two girls, then two girls becomes three girls.......then sooner or later it becomes a whole generation of girls...........
  5. sound like todays society in general veer and not just women.................. society has always had different rules for women and men even thought Bani gives both equal status...............that will never change.......the methods of distinction has simply moderised with times...... Just me ji Its a bitter truth that women betray their religion much more than men.their are girls which were considered as role models for others but later you find them marrying men of other faiths and raising their children to their husband's faith.on the other hand there are men who never even say waheguru but still they don't convert to other religions for girlfriends. It is not only sikhs that are facing this problem.Hindu organisations in india too are worried about hindu girls marrying muslims.according to one of their estimate 1 lac hindu girls marry muslims every year Again i am very sorry if my post hurts anybody. Muslims and Christians ALSO face this problem the only difference is they go on about it like we do!
  6. Krodh is the worst of the 5 chors veer................. it destroys everything in its path and many men have lost their self respect through it........... im not that bad i stilll have ma self respect and i dont think i have an anger problem...........

  10. well i think it is.........remember bani makes so many references to the battle of the mind............Kaam, Krodh, Loh Moh and Hankaar are born in the mind..........the mind feeds and nurtures them............it is the body, i.e. physical contact that carries out the actions of an impure mind.............. yes they are borne in the mind but you use bani to combat those thoughts and if you succeed in combating them then great but if you go ahead and make physical contact then thats bad..............what im saying is toughts are just thoughts they dont have to materialise you just need to become stronger to combat them BUT once you become physical theres no going back and you cant deny it.

  17. http://www.khalsakids.org/ this is a website i found........its ideal for younger members of this website who may like it and it also may help kids on how to cope with bullying. "Sikhism is the 5th largest religion in the world. Still, most Americans know very little about who Sikhs are. Because of that, Sikh students are often harassed and bullied in school. In May 2007, Harpal Singh Vacher, a Sikh student from New York, was the victim of a violent hate crime. His attackers removed his turban and cut his long hair. In a study released this summer, the Sikh Coalition found that nearly 75% of Sikh boys who study in Queens are harassed, bullied and teased in school. The information you’ll find on this website can help you stand up for your rights and explain Sikhism to people who don’t know much about it. Khalsa Kids lets you to find others your age who can give you advice, answer questions, or just inspire you to be proud of who you are. Teachers, students and parents can use these videos, handouts, and presentations to learn and teach about who Sikhs are"
