Waheguru Jeo, If you wana study in US and also work, you will have to prepare yourself for the tough part. Because it would be hard for you to find very good Job and go to school at the same time. But you can find a decent job in any store or something. You can get enough money to pay off your bills. But again you will have to work hard no matter what. Thou your college days will be tough but once you finish ur studies the door of oppourtunities will be opend for you. And there might be some problem regards to Job in the starting could be bcause of religion and also because of less familiarity with english language. I would say, keep talking in english at home or away from now on. And more you talk, more will be better for you once you land in here. waheguru well i am the only sikh in this whole building with 20 floors in it holding around 5000 ppl. Guru Gobind Singh sahib said..."sawa lakh sei eik laraou"./. so be strong and spread the word of Guru and you will be only loved and makes the path clear for other fellow sikh students who will come later on. you shouuld lay down the foundation and become an inspiration that inspires all. i agree, there's no what-so-ever relation of Dushehra to Sikhi. We might be holding keertan samagams or going to Gurdwara sahib so just we do not end up celebrating that hindu ritual. Background of Dushera: Ram chandar killed Rawan that day. Waheguru give us all summat to stay away from these kind of rituals. Khima Barik.

well i have taken amrit "Akal Takhat" in Amritsar, 5nj pyarey never mentioed about marrying amritdhari with amrit dhari and i don't think it is even written in the rehat that amritdhari is going to marry another amritdhari peroid. Neither i have read in the history.. this is the first time i am hearing this. khima jeo. Barik

And then there was charna amrit...... not khandey batey da amrit.........so you syaing anand karaj those who participating in anand karan would be sikh aka amritdhari do not make any justice in here. Anand karan is basically making soul one through the 4 lawa where guru sahib show the right path how to live the life. It is not that just amritdhari can do anand karaj in Guru sahib's hajoori. So if that was the case then before our 10th guru..all the marriges were fake? even at the time of other guru sahib's? he's doing a shabad i wana do this shabad.... but but but...............................what's an english translation of "gawou" it's singing. not doing....... doing means....... "Karna" not gaouna. Refer to this shabad:: Guru sahibs says, "Gurbani Gawou bahi" "Gawou SAchi Baanni" "Gawou Sachi Baanni" you will find 1000's of shabad where guru sahib advise us to "Gawou". If a group is singing a song.. don't they say. "jor jor di gawou" we can not hear you.. It's english language not us because sometimes using english language we can not give justice to "Gurmukhi" language. So if some one said it, singing a shabad.. doesn't effect anything because when some one sings in the praise of Lord.. "the words that explain that doing" becomes pure it self. And we all know how pure the Shabad's are so using the word singing will not lessen it's value. khima jeo. barik

i am talking about outer structure only here...... I Think amritdhari can marry a non-amritdhari, singh or singhani only iff... *a non-amritdhari have full faith on Waheguru akaal purakh... *have full respect and "shardha" for dhan siri Guru granth sahib ji.. *have family values in it... as regards..respecting elders, loving others, truthful and all that...... As it's clarified by 1st father in japji sahib. "Hukmi howan akaar"....."Hukmey andar sabh ko bahar hukam na koyei"ey chall". So what ever is happening is under the control of Akap purakh parmatma and what are we facing is because of our "deeds" good or bad. By relating that to the context of marrige, If sabh kuch akal purakh dei hukam naal ho riha hie then ... who are you to say no to the marrige with non-amritdhari person. May be he/she is more internally blessed with waheguru's blessings. May be his/her time didn't come yet to get the blessings of amrit. May be waheguru has choosen you to change that person and to make him more closer to Gursikh because as guru sahib explains in one of his shabad, "Gurmukh gaddi raah chalanda....." look for this shabad and read the whole shabad and we will understand the meaning of Gursikh/Gurmukh. Often Waheguru doesn't come himself, he create a ways through some one to bless some one. So, again i can say that, "He" might have choosen you to change the other person and by living with you when he/she will see your gursikhi saroop inside out, he/she will also want to become like you. And if that person does take amrit then eis to wada kum ki ho sakda hie that you actually have inspired some one to take amrit.. But again evecrything is going under hukam of akal purakh. We are no one to say yes or no to anything. So if you end up marrying to non-amritdhari.. stay in waheguru's hukam. If you remember, Dhan Guru Nanak Dev ji, didn't go beyond number 13th. He stopped at number 13 and started to say Tera Tera "yours yours". So 13irteen become "yours yours" so it's kind of a signifance that, when Guru sahib's bakshish flourishses us with the blessings, he doesn't count it. In simpler words, When Guru Sahib provide us things, he dosn't count ki now i blessed my devotee a home, a car, a job and all that........ he give things "countless". And we stuck in to the number things and when we do ardaas we say, Menu kothi, car, parivaar, job diti hie.... bas..? now i need something else... hmm ok i think i am not making any sense in here.. khima jeo..
