Probably by Diljit and Gippy Grewal in a pagg. Both with trimmed beards and plenty of scenes of drinking and girls in mini skirts. No change there then. The punjabi film industry is tiny compared to bollywood and apart from Sada Haq film what other Sikh films are there really. I wouldnt even call Sada Haq a Sikh film. It was more a film based on historical events. The most that can be expected is punjabi film makers begin to show Sikhs with more respect and not jokers and to make serious films.. without any songs would be great too. By all means have a soundtrack to a movie but im not a fan of sering actors miming on screen and dancing round like big girls

On my trip to Punjab this year i saw so many people blindly doing matha tek to trees. Granted our guru sahibs might of rested or even planted them but if that is the case then these people should be doing matha tek every 2 meters as surely our guru sahibs must of been there or in the vicinity. When i tell people that what they are doing is wrong they either ignore me and carry on or start preaching that they are a better Sikh than i am, maybe as i am a mona. As far as im concerned get the basics right. The majority of the time this wrong bowing down is either for show or plain ignorance

Could not agree more. I too am mona but going in the direction of Sikhi. Whilst not agreeing with inter faith marriages there is little we can do to stop them. Also they are not as common as people make out to be these days. About 20 years ago there did become a bit of a trend but maybe its just me that in the last 20 or odd years ago we have yet to have any mixed marriage in my family and it is a huge family.

Not too sure off other benefits but i have heard if you hava an OCI and somehow fall into trouble with the Indian police or authorities, the British embassy will not help you in anyway. Hopefully someone can shed some light on this
