  1. Us Sikhs have reacted differentry because this is an attack on our home turf, it becomes an existential threat. First step is to kick these Gujjars out of Punjab.
  2. Wherever our people are targetted, our dastars are targetted. It is known whether it is a Hindu or Muslim to go for our dastar and kes. Then we ask ourselves the question ," we thought us Sardars were so respected" We think it is through our good deeds that we were respected. No, it was through violence we were respected. It is through fear that Hindus and Muslims respect. They have lost fear. There is a Macchiavelli quote that says , " It is better to be feared than loved" Whenever I see the T-Shirts worn by our Singhs that says " Feared by none, Fear no one", I cringe because a little bit of fear for us goes a long way. We have been the nail for too long, we have to become a hammer once more.
  3. Just commenting regarding this war memorial. I went to Arlington Memorial in Washington DC many years ago and it was quite a sombre place. Even though the Vietnam War was a big mistake and many Americans regret that war, they still commerate their war dead. Even though I have mixed feelings, I still think we should remember our own, whatever we may feel regarding this war.
  4. Unfortunately he died before I was born so I never could gauge him. My father was young when he died. That generation even though they had stories never fully disclose a lot of things. We don't even know if that generation had PTSD as they seem to be much mentally stronger.
  5. Where have I said I hate any minority groups. I do not hate trans people, or people of any other sexual persuasion. Let me spell it out for you. My ire is with the system and the media not with minority groups. Because we live in a society where intersectionality runs things and depending on what group classification you belong to. Jaggi Singh Johal is a Punjabi male of colour of Sikh heritage. He is stuck in an India Jail without trial for 5 years. He has been charged for no reason. Nazaneen is a Persian woman who is a spy and is married to a white guy There was another person of Persian, a man that was in jail on spying charges. All the media coverage was on Nazaneen and not on Jaggi or this Persian guy. Why is that? It's because Nazaneen is a woman, if she was a man, she would get no attention. She is also married to a white guy and that probably gets more media attention. Jaggi Singh's family have been fighting for his case and yet his plight receives very little media attention. If Jaggi declared he was trans, the media would lap it up and he will get all the attention because at this moment in time trans rights supercedes women's rights, as you would probably be aware with that NCAA swimmer. The system stinks because this is the kind of games that are played. If a person with an ethnic name applies for a job, they have less chance than a person with an anglo name. If they changed their name to sound more white then they stand a better chance. Does this mean that by pointing this out that I hate white people? No I don't. I have explained this point by point. If you can understand what I have tried to say, good for you. If you cannot, then I cannot help you.
  6. @proactive apparently between Russia, Ukraine, Belarus and Kazakhstan they control 40 per cent of wheat exports. A lot of these exports go to Europe. Macron in France is telling the public they may need to ration their food. Do you know what the percentage Punjab's wheat market is in the world and where does Punjab get it's fertiliser from?
  7. How can a Sikh be a gaddar when he was fighting in UP against a people who initially joined up with the East India Company and helped them take over a country and then revolt because there was beef and pork fat in bullets and then try to bring back Mughal Empire, the people who committed genocide against our people? If you have heard of "better the devil you know" , in our case it was "better the devil you don't know". History is far more complex and nuanced and you have put yourself in their shoes.
  8. Go join the gym and lose some weight you fat fu.k, maybe then some girl will find you attractive enough to marry you.
  9. The Goreh such McCauley in 1835 introduced the British education, that is why in India the Brown babus who worked in the civil service and the British educated elites in India were called McCauleyites. The British education system teaches what to think not how to think. Pendu illeterates are far smarter than you realise. There is the old adage , " paddhe likhe befkoof " Or as Nicholas Nassim Taleb calls them IYI "Intellectual Yet <banned word filter activated>"
  10. You assume everything but you understand nothing. Believe it or not, there are a lot of POC that hold worse views regarding certain groups than white people. Get your head out of a$$ dufus
  11. I have stopped listening to mainstream media. Cannot believe anything they day
  12. The Mutiny provided the opportunity of our people to exact revenge of what happened a decade earlier. A lot of the Sikhs during that time would have been soldiers of the Khalsa Empire. If you recall is that during the Khalsa Rule there were already European generals in the army so there was already an understanding of troop formations, battle tactics etc. Like I said before, the anger was more towards the Purbias and the Dogras than the British. If your house was burgled and your neighbour conspired with the burglar to burgle you, your ire would be the betrayal of your neighbour. Armchair experts read history books, it can give you an understanding but it is no substitute with boots on the ground experience and it gives you knowledge that no history book can teach you.
  13. My great grandfather was one of four brothers He ended up moving to Singapore. I imagine that our forefathers families had a lot of siblings so there would be a lot of brothers. My great uncle on my mother's side fought in WW2 in the far east. My nana also wanted to fight but his father told him he had to look after the land.
  14. It's easier to subvert and brainwash an educated person than an illiterate person.
  15. Apparently the Japanese offered India 42 billion dollars in investment providing that India follows the west in placing sanctions on Russia and condemn their invasion of Ukraine but India refused. The reality is that the map below shows the "international community" that condemns Russia:
  16. If I understand what my great grandfather went through. Looking at it contextually. He fought in WW1 in the trenches and threw his medals in the river, probably through some bitterness. WW1 trench warfare was not the same kind of warfare they had previously which probably charging with bayonets, cavalry, cannons. WW1 brought trench warfare, chemical warfare (gas masks were introduced then) and air attacks. He was born in 1896, so he was about 18 years old when WW1 broke out in 1914 and coming from the environment he did and the fact we do have a martial history and with all his friends wanting to fight as well. If you understand contextually that means 40 years before it would have been the 1850s which wasn't a very long time when there was a Khalsa Empire. So things would have been fresher in their minds of what transpired post Maharaj Ranjit Singh. I think that the Sikhs of the late 1800's probably hated the Purbias,Dogras and other Indians for their betrayal more so than the British.
  17. Dally People during that time may have seen things very differently. Their values were very different, what you find unacceptable they would see as normal and vica versa. They do not have the benefit of hindsight. They aren't geo-political strategists. What has been done cannot be undone.
  18. In some ways, these prisoners are used as bargaining chips between countries as way of leverage. It was a 400 million pound debt for tanks that were not delivered. And it was 2 prisoners being released. I don't think that it will be that easy for Jaggi Johal to get released because it could very well be that it will be for more than 1 UK national and India has more history with the UK and the baggage is far greater so India will try to extract more out of the UK in way of concessions. What those concessions would be is anyone's guess. What will the UK be willing to concede?
  19. Anoosheh Ashoori has very different attitude compared to Nazaneen: https://www.thenationalnews.com/world/uk-news/2022/03/18/anoosheh-ashoori-not-angry-following-five-year-ordeal-in-iran/
  20. She wasn't going to pick a middle eastern guy, lol
  21. What I noticed with Nazanin was how polished and camera savvy she was. Extremely articulate and she did not have a very strong Persian accent either. She knew what she was doing. Looking at some of the photos, you can sort of tell she wears the trousers, lol.
  22. Out of the 6 years, the first 4 years in prison and the remainder of time under house arrest.
  23. I feel sorry for her husband. That guy has aged and I do not know what has happened to his face.
  24. Some points in regards to the press conference that Nazanin spoke on and the further commentary: 1 She had a go at the previous Forigin Secretaries for not enabling her release. It should have been done 6 years ago. (Her words) 2 It was seen that she belittled her husband after he did a lot of work and thanked the UK government. If this was the other way around, there would be uproar 3 She has dual nationality, and she entered Iran on her Iranian passport 4 There were complaints about the UK not paying the 400 million that was owed to Iran. Which could not be paid due to the sanctions 5 She was arrested on spy charges though she went to visit her parents 6 She is now seen as ungrateful in certain quarters
  25. Why are you showing resentment to these groups. If you have shown self awareness of how this group fought for their rights to gain a high tier male then you would understand. You misogynist b1got
