  1. I thought you hate UK so much so why you call it home? Kenyan Tharkhans like yourself (and it so bleedingly obvious you are one )clearly have this vitriol against us unparh knuckle scrapping dumb farmers. Parrhe lokh don't go about doing street violence like you are so keen to instigate for whatever street cred you want to get. Our people are very much clued up, they just keep quiet and get on with their business. These are the silent majority you won't hear about. They are increasingly office/white collar types who do things in a white collar ways like opening up Sikh schools , volunteering to help out the homeless, setting up charities and Sikh prisoners. Setting up lobby groups like Sikh federation to put pressure/influence on the government and parties to get more Sikh MPs. (Look at what the labour party did to the Ilford South candidate , that is your local area ) You insult all these Sikhs who are sticking their neck out trying to improve the situation of the panth by calling them pappus/phudus etc. A lot of them come from that farming lot. You don't need to spark their brains, they have enough brains to do the things they know they need to get done.
  2. Go lead Dally! Show us how it's done!! Go back home and lead from there. When I mean home that is Punjab not Nairobi Kenya.
  3. You are the one that brings up caste all the time. I am just responding to what you try to bring up all the time. After all your bluster here for all these years. Be the bigger man here, put your money where your mouth is and show some leadership, show us how it's done. But we know you won't, you are all mouth and no action!
  4. As per usual it is Dally that shifts it to caste in the first place. He does this with most threads and he is allowed to get away with this by the moderators. If the moderators pulled their finger out you wouldn't see this happening. If Sikhs of non Jat background think that Sikhs of Jat background will not respond back with being called "pendu" or "backward" or whatever name calling convention that is created then we will object. Just because Jats are the majority of the panth does not mean that it is acceptable for the constant ridicule. So moderators everytime Dally does shift this discussion to his Jut bashing tirade, I will send you moderators a post and point it out. If you do not do anything about it then it means you are encouraging this.
  5. No one is glossing over anything. There is a lot of shades of grey, good and bad. The Kurds thought it was in their interests to ally because they did not want ISIS around in their own back yard. It made sense for them so it is not the same scenario as the Sikhs. The fact that Syria borders Turkey is going to make it problematic for the Erdogan as it will encourage the Kurds in Turkey. I think that in long term the Turks are ******. The way Erdogan is going about it, it's only a matter of time before that country is broken up. Your problem Dally is that you think that anyone who disagrees with you is naive or not clued up. You are quite the pessimist. You think that everyone is wrong and you are the only one is right. You have one point of view in your head , you do some research and then try to fit that research into your world view. You sound a lot like those Extinction Rebellion types. It's all very well telling everyone to do something but the problem is not ignorance, it's apathy. Those "pendus" that you talk about at least try to do stuff. The difference you and those "pendus" is they take action and they get results. That is why they get some success and it grates on you. If you feel so aggrieved when are you going to stick your neck out and take action. Become a counsellor, an MP or community leader. Why don't you do what those "pendu Juts" are doing and represent the Sikhs and guide them on the right path?
  6. Great photo. Our people always had a great sense of adventure, always pioneered. That is what Sikhs of non-Jat background find hard to grasp about Sikhs from a Jat background. We all take different things out of Sikhi. Sikhi teaches to us to be in chardikala, to go with boldness and if there is anything that Jats have taken from Sikhi it is definitely that aspect. For all our uncouth, rustic ways, we tend not to overthink and just go out and do. As the goreh say ,"Nothing ventured nothing gained" or "who dares wins" or "Enter the action with boldness"
  7. Now getting back to the topic. The Kurds are in 4 countries: Syria, Turkey, Iran and Iraq and have substantial populations in those countries. Turkey has s very large Kurdish population and they are the majority in SE Turkey. Erdogan feels threatened because this restive part of Turkey can break away to form their own nation. The fact that having a semi-independent Kurdish country in Iraq and Syria threatens Erdogan because they will galvanise and support Kurds in Turkey. He is doing what he thinks can do to keep his country and power together.
  8. The Juts are in many different professions today both blue collar and white collar. The Juts in the UK came before the Kenyans and were doing a lot of hard physical work. You obviously don't know much about the other diasporas. In the US, Canada the Sikhs are involved in trucking and farming and gas stationing. It might not be white collar work but it can be quite lucrative, not my cup of tea but fair play to them. Sikh of Jat background have been in these places for over 100 years. They are landowners and quite successful. I got a relative in Australia who went from Punjab and started a trucking business. He's on good money, got several trucks and has a nice property portfolio. There is a Sikh community in Australia that has been around for over 100 years and they are predominantly Jats. Shame your adversary Jagsaw isn't around.
  9. Jatts were predominantly living in kacheh house back in those days.
  10. Jatts say and do a lot of things. Jatts don't actually make fun of Chooreh. In fact you are not allowed to call them that, the term is Mazhabi. Chamars are a different matter but not for the reasons you think. Shame that Jagsaw is not around, because for all his faults he had lot better grasp in these things. But there is a lot of derogatory terms I have heard about Jatts on this forum. One thing about Jatts that other Sikhs from other backgrounds don't get is that we will actually acknowledge and respect Sikhs from other backgrounds if they are worthy of respect. You may not see that being the big headed Tharkhan. Like it said " Shoti Jaat Shoti Dimagh"
  11. Good for me If you think that i am a balle balle shava shava then you really don't know Jatts! I'm now going to watch some Sidhu Moose Wale videos on you tube ??
  12. The problem with being dominant section of the Sikh community is that other sections don't like it. We are Braggart type of folk with our big puffed out chests (which I even find cringe worthy ) and this must grate a lot of other sections of the community but along with those cringeworthy stuff there are a lot of good qualities. I reckon you are quite jealous of Jatts which is why every topic you raise goes back to it. We Jatts are what we are, good and bad.
  13. You Tharkhan folk could have lead and not buggered off to East Africa. Considering how highly educated you guys were. Or those Urban erudite Khatris, but of course it is us big dumb Jatts that are at fault. We don't have any brains all we know is how to fight. There was a war available and us big dumb Jatts took the bait and went all over the world and established communities and inadvertently spread Sikhi.
  14. Nothing wrong with cleaning toilets. It's an honest living. You duggus did not treat those blacks very well and they booted you guys out. You guys went there to work on those rail tracks and thought you guys were the big shots when you opened up some businesses. You got arrogant. And then Africans kicked you out. Funny what happens when coolies get a bit of money. It's always the mercantile types that get their ***s handed out to them. Us pendu jat boots haven't done too badly for all our faults. That's why Tharkhans get jealous of us "janver ". You guys think "how is it that us educated coolies who cosied up to the Brits in East Africa end up getting kicked out both those kallus and those dumb Jatts keep landing on their feet". Anyway Akuna Mutata Jumbo Jumbo and all that
  15. Still better than being a coolie getting booted out by the blacks out of East Africa.
  16. The storyline is based on a Japanese film directed by Akira Kurosawa.
  17. Star Wars is based of a Japanese film in the 1950s called "The Forbidden Treasure"
  18. If you have seen the robotics from Boston Dynamics, you will see how worrying it is.
  19. If you think the mass conversions happen from just mere missionary/dawah, you must be deluded.
  20. The environment is very complex. If you change one element it impacts another. We do not always realise the consequences. As per usual, the human ego thinks it knows better.
  21. There are women who wear these types outfits to get ahead also. In large corporates you see a lot of game players from both genders and the fitting/revealing clothing is a ploy used by some women. I used to work at one place and there was a woman who was middle management, completely useless but knew how to play the game. The moment her job was under threat, the blouses got lower cut, the skirts got shorter.
  22. These are fashions that come back in cycles. The trousers you see now where very similar to the drainpipe trousers that were worn in the 60's which were then around again in the 80's. These are chino type trousers that are around. They are smart casual but they don't have those creases that you have with other trousers which can be problematic when ironing.
  23. I wonder what our women think about these hipster beards, now with all these western men growing long beards. For years they have been.stating their preference for clean shaven. Are beards suddenly attractive now that white guys are growing theirs?
  24. In most workplaces particularly offices, the men's dress code is far stricter than the women's dress code. With the extreme high temperatures a lot of men would like to wear shorts but are not able to do so. Whereas women can wear trousers, long skirts, short skirts, shorts. In some offices where men can wear short sleeve shirts, they are not allowed t-shirts, they have to be collared or they can wear polo shirts. No such restrictons for women.
  25. The trait is arrogance. An arrogant man maybe attractive to many women but arrogance worn on a woman is very unattractive to a man.
