Start ringing up, sending mass emails, etc to the Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib to go down there and resolve this issue. Do not stop calling until he get's off his seat and actually does something. Bug him in his sleep and every other minute. Jathedar needs to know Sikhs don't have you installed as Jathedar to give awards away to mass murders and drug dealers.

Surely a relationship based on love (body, possessions, happiness the husband brought, his personality, worldly characteristics and acts) does not pass the test. What kind of ਸਾਥ (relationship) does Guru Sahib want Sikhs to build with a wife? The root and last breath of this relationship is described in the Lavan paath read at the wedding. Guru Sahib is saying base this relationship on the soul joining with Vaheguru and not the body (5 elements) or emotions or personality. In the end the relationship the Guru instucts us to build with the wife is the one where Sikhi is at the center; Naam simran, Dharam di Kirt, and Seva, while living as an householder. All this funny business of keeping the wife happy in worldly ways (going to movies, restaurants, weekend escapes to dream land, bedroom fun) is only the mind constructing illusions. True, but street fights can happen any time. There is no warning when it happens on the street, it only takes a split second. It would be illogical to say tie your beard all the time because you never know when it will happen. Women are weaker than men so how do they make up for this weakness they have. Size matters, but not as much as speed and keeping space between you and the opponent. If you are going to let an opponent walk up to you closer than arms length, you might as well let him give you a good shoot on the chin. You won't ever do that again. If your were a car mechanic or welder than tying your beard up out of the way of getting caught is respectful. Then I have also seen people not tie their beard in professions that it can be done. But software engineering! The acting jathedar is clueless of your job and your parents want you to "look more professional" You are doing the right thing by not tying it. Companies cannot ask a singh to tie their beard up. Unless it is for safety reasons. Even then it can be challenged because some of this safety policy are not really their for safety reasons. You are asking the wrong question. Ask anyone who present you with a book on Bir Ras, if the person writing it had awoken the Bir Ras in him and did something for the Khalsa Panth as there is always a need for Bir Ras in the Khalsa Panth. If the person did nothing and still wrote a book on it, then it means he does not understand Bir Ras and is feeding off his ego. Very common in the Khalsa Panth today. In a split second a 10th grade pass becomes a prof and then a doctor in two weeks. The idea today is to destroy the Soldier side of Sikhi. The singh in the video is bang on about what the Khalsa is about. Khalsa Panth serves the Sargun Saroop of Vaheguru; the Universe. We have forgotten our roots due to selfish people trying to create their own names in Sikhi instead of holding on to Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji's name only. There is no "us" and "them" in Sikhi. The same question can be asked about maya that rest inside of everyone. Why does it not just catch us in her net and burn us at birth? The fire can only start with an ignition. Once the ignition is lit and held to the wood, the wood burns. In the same way the maya from the banquet hall will ignite the fire inside of you and let you burn. If it was speaking about ignitions then Gurdwaras would have fully blown out pubs, night clubs, and strip clubs inside them. Massa Rangar would be our Guru and Bhai Mehtab Singh would be our enemy. Maya is all around us wherever we are and needs ignitions to take form. Banquet Hall parties ignite the maya for everyone to burn in. Now lets look at what Bhai Gurdas Ji says in his Vaar about stepping into a banquet hall. (Simple to understand right. (Bhai Gurdas ji is saying a person who steps into a room like a banquet hall is doing it on his own without Guru Sahibs command or wishes. Once this person steps in, the seed (something virtuous) cannot grow inside the field (body and mind) because the person is burn in maya. His intellect is caught up in worldly pleasures and cannot grasp spiritual wisdom). tutI pINGY pINGIAY pY toey mrIAY] ttuttee pee(n)aghai pee(n)agheeai pai ttoeae mareeai|| If somebody swings in a broken swing, he will fall and kill himself. (Here Bhai Gurdas Ji points to the people who tell others to step into the banquet halls (black stained rooms, and are the useless fields. If you listen to these people and step into the banquet hall you will be depending on the advice of those who cannot cross the simpler rivers. This expert on Gurbani is saying dont listen to these people and grab hold of a swimmer like Sant Jarnail Singh ji who has crossed the deepest river of them all). The type of party you will be attending is where open alcohol, sexually charged music, and foolish behaviour including sexual behaviour will be flowing throughout the night. This is a typical banquet hall party. You will be the odd person out who will be the guy being pushed into indulging in the fully blown out maya. Your mind will be affected negatively by what is going on in the party. There will be no discourse on Gurbani or anything remotely virtuous. Others will be caught up in flirting, food, alcohol, dancing, and gossiping amongst each other. Does a Sikh fit into such an environment? The mind absorbs these types of acts very quickly. Sure simple healthy meals would be awesome. What is the reasoning behind simple meals? I think the wrong message is being attached to having simple meals. One good part is healthy meals, but can't other things like somasa be healthy if cooked with healthy ingredients and methods? People need different kinds of flavors in their lives. They cannot taste the flavor from reading Gurbani. So amritdhari husband and wife find ways to increase this flavor in life. Yet they want to eat simple foods and promote simple foods at the gurdwara. They go on lavish vacations, restaurants, hotels, drive fancy cars, big house with expensive furniture etc. The weekend comes and they cannot wait to get out and have fun. Simplicity starts at home and I dont mean a house. It starts with training the mind to enjoy the company of Gurbani 24/7 and letting go of your manmukh lavishes ways. Our Guru trained us to look at lavish items and ugly or has the kids now say eewwww old as one and the same. Amritdhari women spend thousands dollars on suits and dont do seva because it will get dirty and Singhs spend thousand of dollars on dress suits not doing seva because it might get dirty. Manmukh self really comes out on weddings. All shirt and tie but no one is going to do seva. Next day same Singh in a Bana is sitting in diwan like a stone meditating. Where is the Sikhi in this foolish behavoir?

Yogi Bhajan does not equal Bhai Mani Singh. Yogi Bhajan is the devil. The op post a link where it takes you to a Kundalini site that says Kundalini yoga is the main practice and the Gurus Bani is there as a helper. The demon yogi Bhajan discriminates betwen shabads. The site says before doing Basant ki Vaar do one of the two different mantras, which is Gurbani mixed with the devils teachings. These mantras are done to bring a person to a state where he can focus on the main practice of Kundalini yoga; the devil's (yogi bhajans made up) practices. Basant ki Vaar alone is the main practice and brings a person mind into focus on the Shabad of Basant ki Vaar. The devil, yogi bhajan, says mudras (certain hand positions) are needed. The devil is not teaching gurbani but his own demon ways. In no way does the devils practices equate to Shardha Pooran Granth. The devil ran away with his followers when he went to see his Gurbani teacher in india. The Gurbani teacher had a huge argument with the devil because the devil lied to his naive only english speaking students about what Gurbani teaches. The devil was adding his true devil teachers practices of hatha yoga and other manmat practices with Gurbani as ONLY a mantra. The Gurbani teacher was outraged at the devil. The devil to save himself from further embarrassment went to his devil teacher for sanctuary. Afterwards the devil Yogi Bhajan told his naive students, if Sikhs ask you anything. Just tell them naam jappo. The devil was hiding his true devil teachings from the Sikhs of Punjab. He did not want the Sikhs to know what he really was teaching them.
