Anandpur resolution had no mention of seperate land ...just establishment of citizens rights that other states enjoyed , a radio station for Amritsar to transmit Gurbani, full Riparan rights and revenue from those states who took water from us .

    can understand in Uk as homes are so small , but usually AKJ do weddings in morning after rehnsabhai so it becomes a reason to take lots of Gurbani in before Anand karaj .

    yep sis got delayed coming back because of it , hopefully it won't do the same to my Mum and Son ...plus she's suffering with bronchitis so it's probably hell for people in her condition. heard there have been deaths . But if you read Indian media it is all the fault of the farmers in Punjab. What I don't get is why dont they just turn the stubble into the soil and let the stubble rot down

    that's what the family tradition was ...akhand paat sewa by whole family , bheta to dharamshala of pind. Shaheedan Singh de naam te sewa (langar te nave bastar) of panj Gursikh . Family would do matha tek and ardas, bhog at dharamshala before going on janjh or in case of bibi before arrival of janjh. Full sewa was taken by family members ... In mine we did langar sewa as a couple before and after e.g. making ladoo for sangat from scratch in gurdwara and all dishes, washing trays etc. it's about love for Guru Panth ji just as much as Guru Granthji

    not when my grandparents married then it was like a whole village attending and the girl's family had to feed and look after them for days , my parent's time family gathering still huge but only for a day max ,when my younger mama got married in Punjab during 80s then the bharat party only max 11 and everyone was stressed out if they would come back safe . Now big guest list but hardly anyone goes to the gurdwara for the wedding , my brother was married in Punjab in 2000 and it was literally him , the immediate family and some of my sakhe mamey , thaia ji thaiee ji and his kids my Nani bus rest were more interested in chugli , drinking and eating then dancing

    you're funny ... what do you think guru ji taught us conspicious consumption, extravagance and haumai nu patte paune or focus on the actual gurbani, vichar on the meaning and strive to live accordingly ? I did spend money on my wedding but it was my kirt di kamai not my parents' , we had langar before and after the two marriages (both done under Guru ji's roof) prayers of both faiths were done in Guru ji's hazoori, and bidaai was from Gurughar... I'm sure my kids will be planning theirs , there's nothing wrong in it but I will advise them to not waste money on show but maybe put it towards helping others

    actually it is a universal paap against women ; Hindus, Buddhists, Jains, Jew, Muslims and Early Christians have same attitude - Sabh Gobind hai Sabh Gobind hai , Gobind bin nahin koe ....so women are just as pavittar as Men , and just as able to achieve mission on an even playing field . Sikhi gives that equality by removing MAN made bharam and prejudices ... it is this bipran ki reet that is strangling the panth's future more than anything else . If you teach a man sikhi he will progress and maybe encouraged others however if you teach a woman you ensure that all her progeny and her future generations will be taught sikhi from the word go , as she is their primary caregiver and teacher

    well seems that the people so-called representatives of sikhs in corridors of power have much to hide ... what happens if punjab refuses to vote for any party does that automatically mean central control under emergency president's rule?

    pawns veer ji the word is pawns not ponds sainik not chapard Captain Amarinder's from ganda khoon his dada ji shook hands and congratulated general o'Dwyer and got him siroped at Harmandir sahib , I think even he o-Dwyer was given amrit even though he refused to stop smoking or stop cutting his hair i.e. he fully insulted amrit's meaning on his insistence. Amarinder's poti is married to Dogra's pota, wouldn't surprise me if he was freemason too just like nehru's family This is why we have these congress stooges getting uppity and trying to misrepresent the genuine sikhs

    problem is when they forget they are just another sikh, and they have been given sewa, if they are true gursikhs they should fear Guru ji and concentrate on doing that sewa to fullest ability only they are nothing before naam
