  1. sikh are supposed to encourage bhagti 'ap jape avra nam japavai' we are supposed to spread Sikhi throughout the world by parchaar wherever we go as a panth, our Guru ji is with us- Guru Panth hand in hand with Guru Granth . to not do it is to fail in our duty of naam vand chakna. By bhagti I mean with our friends we encourage them to do bhagti in their faith , tell them what our faith and our sanja Jagat Guru advises so they benefit. We mostly live in Punjab on the planet so why not do our duty by the young and old, strong and weak by reminding them of the jewels they hold in their hands before they throw them away to go sifting sand in some other location/ false sect?
  2. dohrw ] Dohra hir hir jn duie eyk hY ibb ibcwr kCu nwih ] The Supreme Lord (God) and His devotees are one and the same. There is no fraction of duality in them (no difference between them). jl qy aupj qrMg ijau jl hI ibKY smwih ] 60] As a wave arising out of water (ocean) merges again into the same water. (Similarly God is comparable to the Ocean and His devotees as the waves).(60) Bhagatan and Bhatt in Guru ji are all of that avasta , so none had a religious affiliation as like Waheguru the kartar has no chosen faith, to argue like this makes us fools . Jugraj veer ji does a good job but like all of us sometimes doesn't express himself perfectly.
  3. but it is not to much to ask they can always refuse ...just like quorn who refuse to investigate binder of the vegan kind
  4. like I said it has to be totally free of any meat by product e.g. bread improver is sometimes ground pig hairs ....or gelatine from beef or pork in yoghurts ( in this case the beef could be halal and then the gelatine would be also and therefore the yoghurt) pure veg food is halal in these terms.
  5. the man was played by the missionary leeches under they say so of badal and his RSS buddies , they got rid of a dissenting voice in a place of influence perhaps if someone had given him exposure to the counter arguments as presented by Colonel Surjit Singh Nishan - Sikh scientist : Part 1 - 20 mins http://www.youtube.c...eature=youtu.be Part 2 - 20 mins http://www.youtube.c...e&v=0djYJ8sFYuQ Part 3 - 20 mins http://www.youtube.c...eature=youtu.be he would have been saying something totally different to those scum ... still not too late let him learn then get him to help with pind parchar Punjab wide he was doing good work in Malwa
  6. then that would rule all veg and fruit too...it just means they checked it doesn't have meat products in it (or if it does that they are halal) we are not supposed to do either halal(all things approved in islam) or haram (all things disapproved of in islam) but that would mean do absolutely nothing, use your bibek buddhi it's in respect to the specific things the Guru ji has outlined maas and relationships outside marriage.
  7. Bhai Ghanaiya wasn't wearing armour and was carrying a mushq a bit different from the others , plus he was attending to the fallen crying out for pani ... I'm sure if someone had attacked he would have been capable of dispatching them but, the truth is no-one there was in that condition, they were all mortally wounded since people were fighting to death. yes today's muslims wouldn't even have honour on the battlefield , I agree so we need to keep that in mind , no-one has chivalry like the sikhs did then but as dirtiness of the enemies tactics and behaviour has increased we need to measure against our standard and reject it and if necessary annihilate it .
  8. So now we should be scared of speaking the words of our father because of a bunch of retards ? please spare me from this idiotic train of thought ...
  9. bhai sahib of course it would be true blue ... in every sense
  10. but I'm so tired of being told 'but I thought you guys can drink my mate blah blah is a sikh and he drinks like a fish ...' the coeback is 'yeah but he's not committed himself to the sikh religion so he's not really a sikh'
  11. I think it was probably the whole pind as the sarpanch had turned up too ...need someone to go and find out discreetly.
  12. I know that I feel unsettled in the presence of bright red now , wasn't always like that ...I guess as one develops one's frequency changes and certain frequencies of sound , light appeal more ...all is good , all is hukham . No strict rules here . I remember reading about an experiment about colours in prison , they painted a cell in red and it had the effect of increasing respiration, aggression in the person's body.
  13. waheguru Ji ka Khalsa, Waheguru ji ki Fateh, you say the parents are cult followers which one? how did she manage to maintain rehit in such an atmosphere? ultimately if you are amritdhari and able to support her fully perhaps you can get help from local amritdhari Singhs to represent you to the family and help make your case . Obviously you do not want to take a step which will dishonour your intended or her family. But she will have to go through some discomfort emotionally to marry a Gursikh, as they sound as if they will not consent to someone who doesn't share their beliefs.
  14. Veer ji , OK the examples you gave were not Khalsa in 1699 sense , but they were all gursikhs followed rehit , read a nitnem of banis and so gave their all to Guru ji, and got charanamrit and naam ...that is why they got parampad ... without guru ji's acceptance we cannot progress Khalsa rehit is the final code for Gursikhs, ALL Gursikhs should follow it since they have been given the title of Guru Panth in that state. Sikhs are Gursikhs otherwise whose Sikhs are they? The Khalsa accepts Guru ji's Hukam and hukham is other religions do exist , we also accept Guru ji's jot is in every sentient being thus we accept that jot makes all one , it doesn't mean we agree with other religions or should follow any of their traditions just accept their existence. Before Khalsa saajna, Guru ji always had covenant with his Gursikhs think Makhan Shah Lubhana and all the other sakhis where Gursikhs wishes and prayers for darshan were granted .
  15. welsome , there are online resources which will help you understand our religion such as 'Basics of Sikhi' on youtube and 'Sikh2inspire'. The main thing I would say is please do not wear the Kara if you intend to smoke, I found this a very hurtful thing whenever I would see one of our high school teachers doing so while wearing the kara a student had gifted him . It was his right to wear it but at the same time his actions were a total insult to Sikhs.
  16. My own feeling is that he definitely was put under duress otherwise why would there need to be high flying police officers there and that too from both states police, at the last address prior to this event Bhai Sahib was still ready to do his utmost but he also stated that he wanted the panth to look after his family for him , in fact he got emotional thinking about it . I feel he got no assurances from any side , plus the isolation meant that if they had threatened to do something he may have not been able to cope/resist. I mean we saw the police take hostages to prevent the procession to Akal Takht alongside arming a small army to close the border to the SIkhs. This people fight dirty, nothing would surprise me
  17. veer ji to be a sikh one has always had to follow rehit , give bheta of your all to Guru ji, have amrit (charan or Khande di pahul) receive naam... only those who were in other faiths but then followed Guru ji were known as Sehajdhari. If one has not committed oneself to Guru ji how can one say I am a sikh?
  18. This case is proof positive that promoters of the balle balle lifestyle have no idea what they are creating under their own roof or anyone one elses ... meri Pard Nani would say ehnu ta loka di hai lagi hai ... purana zamane people would refuse paise from dodgy sources saying main apne bachhe paalane han meaning kamai of crime/bad deeds will corrupt my kids just by its use ...people weren't crazy then .
  19. Hmmm what I know from my reading of sikh Itihas Neela bana is parvan - from Guru Gobind SIngh ji's time Green dastars were worn by Muslims and still are Kesri dastars I was told by my elders in SIkhi when I was going to protest in 84 that it is the rang of shaheedi Lal dastar is banned as Banda Bahadur Singh ji seperated from Guru ji's mission and became ahankari and started his own bana of red dastar the Bandai Khalsa was the name of this group , when he got arrested he realised and asked for forgiveness from Guru ji. After this the Bandi khalsa was disbanded and the Singhs came back under the Tat Khalsa and returned to Blue Bana
  20. Things is the slyness of the Indian Brahmins knows no bounds , for years they have been cultivating this 'benign cow-worshipping' 'ahimsa loving' image so it is hard for the west to see them as the meglomaniac human rights abusers they are , I mean look at the West's slowness to wake up to the truth of MOhandas Gandhi, hero of the HIndu cause. The jungle started hitting the fan when the Rape stats rose astronomically and foreigners were becoming statistics also . Then the government scrambled to show they were going to change things to the world . We should highlight EVERY human right abuse going on there whether it is to us or others, as this will show the World the true nature of this and every Indian Government since 1947 ...
  21. abuse of power ...simple she knew that the kid was troubled and would probably not be believed ... it was lust not love her age had nothing to do with it , it was her personality flaws and the inability to see the wrong in what she was thinking
  22. but nowadays it is the subtitle to Harmandir Sahib Amritsar - the golden Temple when talking to others not the main title. It was only the Golden temple since Maharaja Ranjit Singh's time , it has always been Harmandir Sahib from Guru Ram Das ji's time
