i wanted to know where the sangat gets its news on sikhi, sikh people and sikh culture from. what news channel, radio station or what websites the sangat uses to keep up to date with sikh news and events.

i think this question of allowing or not homosexuals to get married in gurdwara is a get question to ask the missionaries, it will be interesting to see what there response is.

it probably has to do with the fact that there mostly muslim. the government knows if they say anything theres going to be hugh backlash from the muslims

i dont know why anyone is surprised at this, this is whats going to keep on happening as these deviant groups increase, if any sikh stands up to them and says these groups should be banned and there deras closed. the liberal sikhs will go after them calling them intolerant and fundamentalist im surprised the granthi hasn't been put in jail for not being tolerant of the pakhandi 'guru' and his followers

im just curious is this a big problem in our community, gay people not being able to marry or are we just talking about a hypothetical problem. is there any articles i can read where gay people were not able to marry in gurdwara is this topic even relavent, why do we waste time on things that arent even a problem in our community it seems like we bring controversial topics just to fight for no reason

yes i agree bapuji has done immense seva for the panth. we should not let him starve, what would that accomplish. all the jethebandis need to work together to carry on bapuji's work. i dont know why but our people have fascination with people being shaheed.

what stupidity is this, this is the most brilliant idea we have to put a 82 year man in danger. is this all we can think of, to free political prisoners i think we should take babuji immediately to the best hospital to slowly gain his health back so he can start eating and recover. instead of starving a 82 year old man, we should get 1000 people and sant samaj to have a sit in at badals house so he will have to deal with the problem

i hope someone understands the point im trying to make. if its a sikh school should there not be santhia , kirtan, simran and sikh history. whats the point in having a school called sikh school if its in name only other religions have done a great job of using these schools to teach there religion and what they stand for to there young people. meanwhile we get a school to teach sikhi but its probably going to end up as a secular school i remember on one of the sikh channel shows, the presenter went to a sgpc school to ask sikhi related questions to all girl sikh school run by sgpc. when he asked a sikhi related question in class to a gir, she looked confused, so he asked dont you have divinity classes in this sikh school she said no. you should have seen his face im cynical but hope they will teach gurmat

sorry for being cynical but what is the syllabus of this school. what books are going to be used for teaching sikhi, because im sure the school is probably going to be teaching just basic sikhi 101 there not going to be teaching santhia, kirtan, purtan granths, simran please someone enlighten me are they going to teach what i mentioned above or basic knowledge

why dont you do research on 'operation blue star' and 1984. how the govenment destroyed the sikh youths and destroyed their gurdwaras and there manuscript library and the continuing propaganda against the truth. also how the british goverenment was involved and helped in this operation and the continuing effect this is having on shaheed families and there family who are still in jail. research in this is what we need now. we still have not gotten justice. please change your thesis to 1984, this is the kind of research we need

one thing ive noticed about missionary groups/people is that they are always on the offensive, while we are on the defensive. we need to turn the tables on them and start asking them to answer our questions and videotape it and put it on the web to show the sangat what they really believe. we can use their tactics on them for instance we can have a article with the headline '10 questions for ghagga or dunda' or cut a small piece of their katha and ask the question 'is this gurmat' like what they did to baba hari singh and see if they respond to it. can anyone write ten questions on simran or dasan bani or anyother questions that we want them to answer in punjabi and we will post it on there website and lets see if they respond

another reason the missionary group is expanding because they have a 'college' called 'gurmat gain missionary college' which trains and produces more parcharks like ghagga and dhunda every year. this college is the second biggest institution that trains parcharks. the first one is sgpc. they have produced over 1,000 parcharks. i remember watching a interview of baba seva singh rampur khera. where he said the missionary problem was brought up in a sant samaj meeting. babaji suggested that each of the samprada/jethabandis train more sikhs to be parcharks. each group should train 50,100,200 or whatever the amount of sikhs they have the capacity to train. this way we can produce our own panthic parcarks to counter the missionaries. but this idea of babaji was struck down because the other babas wanted to build a really big univerity that would train thousands of sikhs. sadly the idea of the university was never discussed again.

no this is not a good idea. this will just cause more problems. what would be easier is to start or use a existing organization and have all gurdwaras join it and all parcharks support it and let this organization make decisions for the country it is started in all country can have there own because they know the local issues better. this organization can pass resouations and put pressure on akal thakhat to support sikh causes. because it will speak with one voice

because the missionaries mind in their head is running in a thousand different directions. they cant contain themselves so they have to yell to let some of the steam out. if they believed and did simran they would have waited after babaji was done to get there answer

and to top it off, the dhadhi singh is from a shaheed family. the missionaries couldnt even give dhadhi jatha any respect that their from a shaheed family

Although, Thakur Dalip Singh couldn’t meet with Bapu Ji but he met with Sangarsh committee leaders and expressed unity for the cause. Thakur Dalip Singh isn’t the head of the Namdhari community but an estimated 80% of Namdharis follow him.
