  2. SIKH PREACHERS DROP PLAN TO GHERAO MINISTERS A meeting of Sikh preachers in Bathinda on Sunday decided that since their two leaders- Ranjit Singh Dhadrianwale and Daler Singh-have been put under house arrest by Punjab Police, their plan to gherao ministers stands deferred. “The final decision in this regard would be taken in the presence of the two leaders,” said Sikh preachers. The meeting was attended by Bhai Panthpreet Singh, Giani Balwant Singh Nandgarh, Kewal Singh, Sukhjit Singh Khosa, Satnam Singh Chander and Kirpal Singh. Kirpal Singh said the three main demands raised during the ‘bhog’of the two police firing victims were: arrest of real culprits behind the desecration of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, release of the two brothers framed by police in Bargari desecration case, case against the police officer responsible for opening fire on protesters at Behbal Kalan. Kirpal Singh said the meeting observed that the Punjab government has handed over the case to the CBI, two brothers accused in the Bargari case have been released and police have added the name of then Moga SSP Charanjit Sharma in the case pertaining to opening of fire on agitators. SP (headquarters) Nanak Singh said that paramilitary forces have been called to tackle the law and order trouble. 4. SIKH COUNCIL UK MEETING WITH MODI NEVER TOOK PLACE ! The following is a statement from one of the most respected persons in Britain Lord Indarjit Singh of Wimbledon: The secret meeting was so secret, that neither the High Commission nor senior figures in the Sikh Council were aware of it. It is stretching credulity to suggest that Mr Modi is so close to the Sikh Council that he agreed to a secret meeting behind the backs of even those in the High Commission! The reality is the supposed meeting, with Mr Modi agreeing that the Council’s list of demands, almost certainly never took place, and is simply a ploy to justify a cheap photo opportunity at the expense of Sikh interests. If the UK Sikh community is to make any progress, advisors to the Council, like S Gurmukh Singh, should condemn such un- Sikh like behaviour rather than indulge in diversionary waffle about what S Sahib Singh said on a totally unrelated issue. 6. INDIA SUBMITS DOSSIER TO BRITAIN FOR ACTION AGAINST “RADICAL” SIKH GROUPS According to the dossier, India claims that hard line groups have been organizing theoretical classes for radicalization of Sikh youths abroad. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to ask Britain to take strong action against Sikh groups trying to revive the demand for a separate state and their attempts to radicalize Sikh youth. During his meeting with British Prime Minister David Cameron, Modi will share a detailed dossier about the activities of the United Kingdom-based Sikh “radical” groups. On the other hand Punjab Police are set to come down heavily on NRI Punjabis who have, over the years, supported what the police term as “anti- national” activities in Punjab through funding and logistic support. According to Hindustan Times report: The move comes in wake of the radical Sarbat Khalsa held on Tuesday where Sikh hardliners reiterated the demand for Khalistan while “appointing” militant Jagtar Singh Hawara as the jathedar of the Akal Takht. The state police and central agencies believe that several activities indulged in by Sikh hardliners in Punjab, which promote the secessionist agenda, are funded by NRI Sikhs. The Sarbat Khalsa was supported by at least a dozen Sikh bodies based in the US, Canada, Hong Kong and Australia, all of which are now under the police scanner, said a senior cop from Amritsar. “Since NRIs don’t have to live with the emerging law and order situation, some of them behave irresponsibly, sending money to promote secessionist agenda. It is high time they realise that what they do, even sitting in their own countries, will cost them. But the police will not question those who are doing genuine work for their home state,” said state DGP Suresh Arora. Besides registering cases against such organisations and individuals, the police are also approaching their counterparts in the US, Canada and Australia with a list of such persons who need to be watched for anti- national tendencies. Other than watching Sikh organisations abroad, the police have also undertaken the monitoring of various Sikh websites and news channels running online which are involved in hosting news about Punjab or Sikhs. While many of these sites and channels are picking up news stories from the mainstream media, there are some which generate their own news. “On many occasions, the news is based on falsehood, spread with a view to creating disorder and confusion,” Arora said. In a recent case, Punjab Police wrote to the Centre to impose a ban on online Sikh news channel, where NRIs were shown openly making announcements of the money they would give to the “brave man” who assassinated the top SAD leadership, the SGPC chief, besides a host of Punjab Police officers. As part of the exercise, the police also plan to scrutinise the foreign funding flowing to Sikh hardliners in the state. The SAD (Amritsar), which was at the forefront of organising the radical Sarbat Khalsa, has appealed to Sikhs across the world to fund the cause. The website of the party gives details of the bank accounts where the money can be deposited. “Money coming into bank accounts can be easily traced. However, there are several crores worth of funding which is unaccounted for. Other than tax liability, it is important to find out for what activities the money has been sent,” an officer said. In 2014, Mansa Police claimed to have found transactions of nearly Rs 4.13 crore from three bank accounts of Baljit Singh Daduwal — one of the radical Sarbat Khalsa-“appointed” jathedars. The case is still under investigation. Today's headlines on ABP SANJHA: http://dailysikhupdates.com/india-submits-dossier-to-britain-for-action-against-radical-sikh-groups/
  7. DIVINE MYSTIC REFLECTIONS ON GURMAT BOOK 2 download part 2 http://www.gurukhoj.com/eBooks/SBNS%20eBook%2002%20DMROG%20TWO.pdf TOPICS ADDRESSED INCLUDE: Gurmukh Marg Secret of God's Hukam To become Immortal Salvation Complete Surrender Divine Knowledge God's Grace Birth & Death How to Remember God Peace of Mind Nindah (Slander & Gossip) Simran Ardas Amritvela Gurbani Peace of Mind Aim of Human Life Kirtan & Katha A BOUT THE B OOK: As described by Sant Ji, the purpose of this book is to liberate man from the three-fold sufferings, namely: 1. Physical disease. 2. Mental disharmony. 3. Spiritual ignorance. The presention is similar to Book 1 - in simple English and easy to the eye fonts. Every analogy and assertion is backed by quotes from Gurbani - all explained in a simple easy to understand style. Sant Ji had always emphasised on "CONTEMPLATION" and the contents inevitably lead the reader towards self examination. It also highlights repeatedly the most important endeavour required of us - NAAM JAPNA (ie. the practical aspect). QUOTATIONS FROM THE BOOK: Upon waking up early in the morning and opening our eyes, we should repeat "Dhan Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji" five times, before proceeding to perform anything else. This will ensure that we will always be in correct frequency with Guru Ji, similar to a bulb connected to the powerline. Our centre or powerhouse is the Lord. There are lakhs (hundreds of thousands) of people who believe in living Gurus whereas Sri Guru Gobind Singh Sahib Ji's last words to his Khalsa were, that, 'Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji is your living Guru now'. This is the same Jyot (or light) that was in the 10 Gurus. Shabad is the Guru. Sad to say, there are very few people now who have real faith in Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji as their eternal Guru. In life, there are two things which one would be wise to remember : one is the theory and the other is the practise. For example : an engineer may know everything theoretically about engineering, but, as long as he is incapable of carrying out construction work practically, so long he would be unsuccessful in his work. Therefore the principles of theory must be followed by principles of practise.
  8. very good book on Sikh Spirituality the website has many good book on spirituality download here http://www.gurukhoj.com/eBooks/SBNS%20eBook%2001%20DMROG%20ONE.pdf DIVINE MYSTIC REFLECTIONS ON GURMAT BOOK 1 TOPICS ADDRESSED INCLUDE: The Power Of Naam Naam and the Mind Naam Perkash Naam and Naam Japna The True and Authentic Guru Who is a True Guru? Khalsa God's Love Drink the Holy Amrit Sensual Pleasures and Naam Ras Union with God The Sikh Way of Life What is Sewa or Service? What is God's Grace? Waheguru Gurmantar Daswand Who is a Sikh? Purpose of the Human Body ABOUT THE B OOK: In the words of Saint Scholar Naranjan Singh Ji, the purpose of this book is to make one worthy of the love of God and to enable him to receive His bounties. Presented in simple English and easy to the eye fonts, the contents will stir any reader's thoughts. This is significant as Sant Ji had always emphasised on "CONTEMPLATION" . Readers will be amazed at the simplicity in which seemingly difficult aspects of Gurbani and Sikhi are explained with ease using examples and analogies. It will answer most (if not all) of the thoughts and questions that we keep harboured in our minds. A highly recommended read for all - Sikhs and non Sikhs. QUOTATIONS FROM THE BOOK: We sometimes feel happy and satisfied with what little we offer to Guru Ji by way of a beautiful rumala. It is a good gesture. Sometimes we place a few dollars before Guru Ji as an offering. Guru Ji explains that this gesture is only the ABC of Gurmat. This is to say that, for maybe many years, some of us have not progressed beyond the stage of reading ABC. In other words, this is only the beginning of Gurmat. One great endeavour of all the Sikh Gurus was to pull back and reduce the importance of their physical selves in favour of the importance of worship of God, devotion to Him, remembrance of His Name - the things which are emphasized most in the contents of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. Ultimately this reduction and withdrawal of physical selves was complete and Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji became the Guru containing all their teachings. The Lord only wants the offering(paytaa) of body and mind. Sometimes we surrender our body but keep the mind to ourselves. The mind does not surrender. Have you ever thought what would take place when we reach the end of our road? Well, the body will be burnt to ashes which will be scattered by the wind in four direction. We wouldn't know where the wind is going to deposit us finally. It would be much better if we could find some fire while we are still alive and burn our ego into ashes. This burning of our ego will lead us to the Lord's mansion. To be successful in both the material and spiritual worlds, it is extremely important for the mind to be powerful. In this spiritual field, the war with our mind is a lifelong process. Japji Sahib was composed by Sri Guru Nanak Sahib Ji. It is meant to be recited daily. It offers a spiritual remedy for all our ills. It is a highly inspired verse and the thoughts expressed therein are of eternal value and significance. Its recitation is useful in more than one way. It enables us to enjoy communion with God. It helps us to realize the Truth and thereby make our life more purposeful and contented. We realize our real selves. The recitation of Japji Sahib removes the delusions from our minds and sets us on the road to discover the eternal mind - the creator of the universe.

  10. GURBACHAN SINGH’S 3 STAR HOTEL OPENS IN MUKATSAR SAHIB Ex Akal Takht Jathedar’s 3 Star Hotel in Muktsar Sahib opens for operations. The Tribune News Service has reported that former Akal Takht Jathedar Giani Gurbachan Singh has opened his 3 star hotel in Mukatsar Sahib. The SGPC has already employed 18 relatives of Gurbachan Singh and ex Keshgarh Sahib Jathedar Mal Singh. On the payroll of the SGPC, Gurbachan has appointed his son Jaswinderpal Singh as a personal assistant and salary positions for his brother, two nephews, two daughters, two sons- in-law, a brother in law, and six other relatives. Also, the former Jathedar’s daughters work as teachers for an SGPC school run in Amritsar. The son of Gurbachan is a leader of the AKali Dal in village Bariwala and the daughter in law is the vice-chairman of the party of Zila Parishad, Muktsar. Now, a look at ex Jathedar Giani Mal Singh’s family members who work for the SGPC: Son Amandeep Singh: PA; deputy manager SGPC. Son Amarjit Singh: Granthi at Sri Darbar Sahib who despite being five years younger than the required age was given the service. A Look Into ex Jathedar Gurmukh Singh of Takht Damdama Sahib: Brother Himmat Singh is a PA. According to the SGPC’s articles, a close relative of an SGPC member can’t be given a job within the SGPC. However, rules appeared to have been relaxed during Bibi Jagir Kaur’s tenure. It’s quite clear that the appointment of relatives by the former Jathedars has a direct conflict of interest and further prevents transparency in operations. http://dailysikhupdates.com/gurbachan-singhs-3-star-hotel-opens-in-mukatsar-sahib/

  17. I doubt RSS even knows what reverse psychology is, only reason there supporting sarbat khalsa is because this will highly benefit them. If sarbat khalsa gets rid of pro badal jathedars and leaders, this will make badal weak and RSS and other anti sikh groups will easily win victory because sikh votes will be split.
  18. really big collection of good stories and easy to understand
  19. What!!! are you kidding me, the nihangs are suppose to be a fauj not professional protestors. If they are going to wait on the side line and do nothing can you please tell me whats there purpose, are they only good for nager kirtans doing there acrobats. Where is all the 'bir rass' that i always hear about that nihangs suppose to have? And why do they keep on saying there "tyar bar tyar" is that only for nagar kirtans. If there not a fauj anymore can they disband all the dals and stop living off the Gurus Golak. Beadbies are happening left and right and all the nihangs do is wait on the side line. Do nihangs serve any purpose anymore, do we even need them?

  22. i knew that the nihang jathedars prem singh and joginder singh were celebrating dussera at hazur sahib when the beadbies were happening. i give them the benefit of doubt that at least they would attend the protest but your saying nihang jathedar prem singh didnt even feel like going when Guru Sahibs Angs were being torn apart, he rather celebrate dussera when Singhs/Singhnis were being sent to jail. Is this the kind of leadership we need?
