  1. can we change the like system back to the old one? this new one is really irritating.
  2. You really don't know how debates work. So let me break it down for you. You make a statement, I ask for evidence, you provide none except saying "its written in SSGSJ" then I say I can use scripture to make any point I want, you don't provide rebuttal for that, except latch onto your usual stuff, I even made it easy for you by asking you to provide Puratan sources as they were written by Gursikhs on Sikh life. Yet you refuse to do so. So let me make this 100% simple so even someone like you can understand. You made the statement and assertion, So burden of proof is on you. Until you provide it, maybe shut up and sit down?

Gone are the days when amrit was given out after ALOT of investigating.
  4. The purtan sources all reference SSGS, it was how sikhs lived during that time, so unless you're saying they didn't know true sikhi? The fact that you can't even provide them just shows you have none as they're alien to you, As I showed SGGS has been used to insinuate all sorts of things, from racism to hatred. Sorry that's not how logic works, you made the statement. SO back it up dogboy. If you continue barking about SSGSJ then please find tukhs and do your own arths, you can't because you can't even read Gurmukhi. People like you are the biggest hypocrites around, you bark and call others "worse than Ram Rai" but here you stand, can't even be arsed to learn about your own culture/religion and have the nerve to go around telling others about it, despite having NO actual knowledge on anything related to scripture. The muslims trying to discredit Sikhism probably did more than you, because atleast they actually attempt to read a little into sikhism. You're an embarrassment.
  5. Sadly he's departed this world, But he knew it was his time and simply left. Dad's doing great now and he found out about him through word of mouth I guess. I never knew it I only called him Baba Ji, I was pretty young when he left this world. Though he was one of the most remarkable beings I ever met, He taught me alot as a kid, I shrugged it all off as an adolescent but looking back he was giving me tat Gurmat Gyan and I never realised it.
  6. My Dad was on the verge of death, He heard about a mahapurkh and got in touch with him. My father had been rejected from all hospitals, the Mahapurkh healed him and restored his health. He was days away from dying and now he's as lively as ever. Before my Dad met the Mahapurkh he lead a really hedonistic lifestyle, afterwards he stopped it all cold turkey.

I don't buy into the Chaar Sahibzade being the Trinity but taking stuff from this dude is opening up a really slippery slope for you.
  8. I thought I'd drop this here, It's katha done by Sant Baba Gurbachan Singh Ji Khalsa Bhindrawale. http://www.gurmatveechar.com/audios/Katha/01_Puratan_Katha/Sant_Gurbachan_Singh_(Bhindran_wale)/Sri_Krishan_Avtar_Katha/10--Sant.Gurbachan.Singh.(Bhindran.wale)--Sri.Krishan.Avtar.Katha.Part.10.mp3 He mentions Baba Vadhbhag Singh and how he ran to the hills after Tham Sahib was razed. Listen from about 2 minutes in.
  9. Amber Rudd herself is a moron. Honestly all the head honchos in May's cabinet are morons. I'm not saying this because I disagree with them politically (I do btw) but due to statements made by Rudd where she wants to clamp down on stuff like VPNs because they're a breeding place for terrorism. I'm genuinely not surprised she did this, even during election night there was clearly some skulduggery afoot in her own constituency. She's just as dishonest and disgusting as her lovely conservative friends.

I know you weren't. I wasn't saying you were doing for malicious intentions.
  11. It's been done before, multiple times. Aurangzeb thought it preached hatred towards muslims, There are Sikhs that take verses out of context to promote hatred towards another group of people (through castism), infact it was done on this very forum before lmao. What hole do you live in? Pick up a historical book once in a while.
  12. I can use Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji to promote anything I wish, by god its done here by Hindu orientated minded people to Castists and so on, that's why these texts exist, to show the real meanings and arths. So find it in practice where Sikhs followed it all. Find sources from the 17/18th centuries where Rehitnamas from Guru Sahib were used and prove your points. All I'm asking you to do is provide the historical proof, which you seem to shying away from. If that's too much for you then don't ask others to provide evidence in ANY thread when you can't do it yourself. Your "evidence" is 1 quote, the first line. That's all you know about SSGS, the mool mantar and nothing more, you can't even read Gurbani and you obviously don't. That very quote can be used for ANYTHING, to promote ANYTHING.

There's no such thing as humans using 10% of their brain, that's an urban myth that's been disproved multiple times. That question in itself is slightly insulting to Guru Ji (not saying you did it on purpose OP, nor am I attacking you in this). Guru Sahib was infinitely powerful, they were as powerful as they needed to be. Think of it like this, A village has a competition every year to lift weights, the competition is the only one and the villagers believe that no one can lift anything more than say 100kg. A stranger comes to the village and competes, winning the competition without much effort. From the villagers point of view that's his limit, as they can't fathom the concept of a person lifting anything more. Just like the villagers we can't fathom the depth of the Power of Satguru Nanak. So its best if we stick to applying these sort of restrictions and levels/limits to humans and not the Sargun Saroop of Waheguru Ji.
  14. I'm sure bad grammar is something you're completely used to, I suppose it comes from never having read from the the actual source. Please continue to show everyone here what a tool you are.
  15. Go Go Go...May Waheguru bless you and keep you on the right course of life.
  16. Penji I'll add here to Simran Penji's post by saying if you go to GurmatVeechar website, you can find Katha of Sant Gurbachan Singh Ji Khalsa Bhindrawale who did the immense seva of doing Larivar Katha of all of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. I would check it out.
  17. Thank you for showing everyone here you simply speak out of your rear end and have no evidence to back anything up. But of course you demand others to provide evidence for everything! that rule just doesn't apply to you! Also it's you're* in this context, seriously for a grown ass man you have the literary skills of a 4 year old.
  18. Yes I do, but that's not an argument. So please find historical documentation and proof, unless now you'll argue that sikhs in the past were fools who didn't understand Sikhi at all. I'm waiting for that curcial evidence you love to ask for but never give, I can use your daft argument for anything. "Hey I robbed a bank, its ok cuz Ek Onkar" "hey some woman got raped, its ok Ek Onkar. " So i'm repeating once again, find HISTORICAL documentation from Purtan sources that prove your stance. If you're incapable of that then I rest my case, you're nothing more than a dog barking .
  19. Will do the Bani is really fascinating in its textual form too, You can feel Guru Gobind Singh Ji's signature within it but at the same time it echoes back to Guru Nanak Dev Ji's words and writing style. The interchanging form of God being described in both masculine and feminine terminology is really breathtaking. Well not Inder as a name but there was a Gursikh of the highest caliber called Bhai Durga Ji i believe
  20. They are big contributors to the "find new things to get offended at" brigade.
  21. So you have no references to any historical documentations, thank you for showing everyone you simply talk out of your rear end.
  22. I wont sit here and act like a scholar on the the Granth's Gurbani haha, the granth is super mysterious, iv only recently started to read and do my own arths (using a steek), the complexity of it is (imo) as much as that of Dasam Granth, though Mahakaal96 user on here was really helpful in helping me get my head around some stuff. Though I'm going to India soon and I'll be picking it up from there, I'm super excited about it. I've been trying to input the Manglacharan into my Nitnem for some time but the only online version iv found is this one. http://www.sarblohgranth.moonfruit.com/ there formatting puts me off which is really bad I know but i can't help it. well to each his own haha, You're free to doubt it, with good reason too. In all honesty I totally see where you are coming from as I'm a total pessimist myself a-lot of the time. I think its just the might of Kalyug influencing us all, to the point very little things hold any true spiritual meaning.
  23. That's true but it depends on the Granth you consult, in Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maya is the illusion that the world sleeps in, the deceiver and the blocker to the pure nirgun saroop of Akaal, but in Sarbloh Granth Sahib, Guru Ji also writes "Adi Bhavani Esari Maya ta ko naam" translating roughly to the Primal giver of life is also known as Maya (in this context we can say Maya could be illusionist orrr generous), maya also being the power of Akaal Purkh that created all life. Yeah I can get why your Dadi is against it, the oldies aren't all senile haha. This is something my oldies taught me, that certain names should be avoided. I know some Sikhs dislike using the name Inder as they believe it refers to Indra Devta, but I had heard a Katha a while back about how important naming a child is, as the name can have a psychological and spiritual effect on them.
