  1. Lol I'm VERY stubborn haha even my mum gives up trying to convince me or change my mind coz she knows once I say no it will be a definite no haha Whenever I have fallen out with someone they have always been the first to come up to me after the fall out this has particularly always annoyed my female friends haha Don't know how my wife would deal with this maybe I will change lol I don't know.
  2. Sakhis like that keep me checked and in place lol makes me think twice before doing or saying something stupid
  3. sikhi and guru ji or your hindu boyfriend, it's your choice. If you have read ithias then you will know in the past during the Islamic invasions sikh women even sacrificed their babies for sikhi. They had their babies limbs put around their necks but they still remained faithful to their guru. Are you willing to give up your relationship with him for guru ji ? Your family have been sikhs for centuries do you really want to break that line and raise confused hindu/sikh/cultist kids
  4. This was amazing! Went during the last week of the exhibition on the Wednesday. Couldn't stop looking at the weapons. Was kinda sad looking at rani jind kaurs jewels knowing what the goreh put her through. Took lots of pics
  5. Its a shame because despite being treated like crap and having to create their own places of worship the ravidasias still install guru granth sahib ji in their temples. In the morning their granthi reads japji sahib through the speaker and in the evenings rehras sahib. They are not traditional Sikhs, as in its rare to see their men keep their hair, but they still have gurdwareh and guru granth sahib ji. It would be a great shame if our stupid people push them out.
  6. Destruction of a temple followed by the construction of a mosque on the same site Hindus/non muslims paying jizya tax to the mughals
  7. They taxed non Muslims, and denied non Muslims cremation and last rites. Many non Muslims were not allowed to be cremated and there bodies were left to rot on the streets.
  8. not sure, i can't find the documentary. India in those days like 1000 years ago and before the Islamic invasions was far ahead of its time, people were progressive, had the freedom to think and not just become sheep, many things were invented in India in those days. The constant invasions really dumbed the people of India down.
  9. hahah yes your right its top crown bit which is 80 tons the rest is 130,000 tons of granite. Granite is one of the hardest rocks in the world, its amazing to think how they must carved it, the whole temple top to bottom is covered in intricate carvings and in those days they obviously didn't have modern machinery. I remember watching this fascinating documentary on this temple and the chola temple, think it was by the history channel. They were trying to figure out how they must of built this temple, the wooden rollers method apparently wouldn't of worked as the weight of the granite slabs + many elephants would of snapped them in half, something like that lol. carvings are amazing and to think they did this over a 1000 years ago ...
  10. Yeah in the town I live in there was a house which was used as a brothel with females from punjab working/living in it. The police raided it and it was shut down. There are many eastern European girls who work as prostitutes where I live. It's really bad
  11. Yeah I really don't like the way some people treat chamars, they've had to build their own gurdwareh because they get discriminated against. In my dad's and mum's pind chamars and other dalits have their own gurdwara while jatts have their own. I personally think every pind should have 1 gurdwara and each community should have a representative in the committee.
  12. My cousin lives in Southall and he told me some girls from Punjab work as prostitutes there! In fact once or twice in Southall i was even given a contact card advertising a escort company! it was some Punjabi guy and girl handing them out to passers by ... Sickening really
  13. But its not just others sadly, our "own" people threat their own like that too. Where i live many bechare apne from Punjab work for Punjabis who pay them £2, £3, an hour! its true. some of the apne who are illegally living here and work as builders get treated like crap by the Punjabis that they work for. There is a Punjabi sweet shop around the corner from my house who used to pay there Punjabi workers from India just £2 an hour. in fact the town i live in this happens all the time and everywhere. Apne business owners know that the becahre from India will work for little money and they know they can boss them around because many of them are illegally living here. Its sad really. Many girls from India work as maids for other Punjabis and clean their houses and do cooking and they get payed very little. I sometimes see this old Sikh man from India, must be around 70, he can barley walk properly and he go'es from door to door posting leaflets/adverts, i doubt he gets paid much either Its not easy leaving your family behind and then moving to a foreign country where your "own" treat you like crap and call you names.
  14. same thing could be said about the 1000 year old Brihadeshwara temple of South India built by the Chola empire, its built of 80 tons of granite and is 66 meters tall
  15. No their not, i used to have 2 small pots of venus fly traps with lots of small traps in each pot. They are very fascinating plants, they used to gobble up flies haha! sometimes even bee's and wasps, after 2 days or so they used to open up again and i used to remove the rotten fly/wasp. But living in the UK they only survived through the summer months and then died. I used to have cactus plants as well but my dad killed them by changing the pot!!!! they grew fast the spikes were as sharp as needles! you had to wear thick garden gloves to touch them, several flies and wasps used to get stuck on the spikes lol! I like those kinds of things lol
  16. Hello Have you seen a doctor for your anxiety? I had really bad anxiety and i finally convinced myself to go and see my doctor and he gave me medication for it and it helped, i know its not for everyone but if your anxiety is taking over your life then perhaps you need help. Start going Gurdwara regularly and get to know the regular sangat ... your brave for opening up, not many men can do that, a lot of men have problems but don't open up about it you can always make a account on here if you want ...
  17. I see myself as Punjabi sikh. Yeah India's ok but I don't like punjab or the people tbh everything is so corrupt there. Every one is at playing hera pheri. And people are super perverted there. All the men old and young the only thing they talk about all the time is sex. iv lost count of the number of people that have shared their sex stories with me in punjab. Iv had 50 year olds talk about their sexual experiences and one night stands. Iv even heard aunties making jokes about private parts. I actually get sick and tired of it. I'm not surprised that there is a rape crisis in India, that's the only thing they seem to think and talk about. I don't like the punjab police either never seen people talk so rude. I don't like how the chamars are treated either. I also don't like how my family from there constantly tell me what to do and what not to do. They think because where from abroad that we should be behaving all sophisticated, well I'm far from sophisticated lol. I remember once we were in the city area and I sat on the wall with my legs hanging down, which is perfectly fine and normal, and my dad's brother turned around and told me to get of the wall and sit on the chair because it dont look nice! Like <banned word filter activated> !! What's wrong with sitting on the wall! I personally don't like going punjab the whole experience is suffocating, I feel like I'm getting strangled when I go there haha! My pind is like 60% chamars so when I feel suffocated with my family I just walk out and start talking to the chamars and walking around with them, they are really funny and make me laugh but then my dads brother tells me off and says I can't stand with or walk around with chamars because it doesn't look good because they are "low caste" ! Like what the hell is that about! I really don't understand this stuff. I really don't like how I get bossed around by family in India.
  18. But we're not english anyway. White people from England are English, where considered British Indians. I really like this country personally lol! Much better than punjab or India tbh
  19. Yeah Waheguru sent them to spread the truth and in their scriptures you can see aspects of Sikhi! like Ram kept his kesh but then at the same time when he was sent to the forest he matted his hair which obviously is not gurmat. In ramayan its repeated again and again how it is wrong to sleep with another woman other than your wife especially a married woman, one of the characters even curses another character that he may get addicted to women! kaam is really looked down upon in ramayan while charitable work is praised , but then at the same time Brahmins are given higher and special status, they are considered more saintly and intelligent than other people, lots of cow worship as well lmao so you see aspects of Sikhi but at the same time other weird stuff too
  20. LOL I'm just saying in general, some sikhs are so insecure and triggered about some "brahmin" stuff in sikhi. Where do you draw the line. What more will they discard. Didn't waheguru also send down people like ram and Krishan to spread the truth/sikhi so there will be some similarities won't there ?
  21. I agree with you brother Hindus put their palms together when they greet, does that mean we should stop doing the same when we do fateh Ram kept shastars, bow and arrow with him at all times and he told his brother lakhshman to do the same, so should we stop carrying shastars ? Shashtar vidya was practiced by hindus, should we stop Sita told ram that 3 of the biggest sins that one should never commit is 1.lying 2.sleeping with another mans wife 3.killing a innocent human/animal is this not Sikhi too! The upanishads say best way to self realization and liberation/mukti is by meditating on the creator. Upanishads also say its important to control our mind and vises like lust. ego. anger as they create illusion/maya and make us think that we are separate from our creator and that we are individuals etc In mahabharat krishna tells arjuna that fear is our enemy and is created by ego and that the slayer doesn't slay nor does the slain get slayed as the body is just a shell and the soul doesn't die but continues its journey Buddha said the cause of all pain is ego Knowing some people on here i'm probably gnna get accused of being a undercover Hindu haha But obviously their is no place for idols, rituals, fasting, brahmins, caste, sects, ganges etc in Sikhi
