  1. i agree theres nothing wrong with it and it looks much better than the gold sprayed spikey hair you see in punjab, but their mentality is really backwards. Haryana has one of the highest rates of violence against women and level of female feticide is even higher than Punjab.
  2. our biggest loss is all our history left in Pakistan. In the long run Sikhs lost the most because of the partition, Punjab is of no religious significance for Hindus and Muslims, where the ones who lost a big part of our history.
  3. Yeah my mums been there because her nanke are from there and she said many of the men walk around wearing chadars and holding rifles in their hands. The women cover their faces with chunni. I don't think Punjab was that different couple of decades back
  4. Weren't the Singhs who killed massa rangar Rajasthani Singhs? Do Rajasthani Sikhs still exist today? not the Punjabis that have moved there but actual Rajasthani Sikhs?
  5. Yeah i dont think it would be too hard especially because they are not that different to us culturally same with places like Ganga-nagar in Rajasthan which has punjabi influence
  6. Haryanvi women are very pretty. They are culturally similar to us but very backwards too! the women go through a lot, most of haryana is still ruled by proper old fashioned panchiat type of people. Honor killings are very common, They even do things like tying young couples to the back of cars with ropes and start driving really fast as punishment for dating.

    sikh women

I think gurbani tells us to dress modestly and in a way that doesn't attract wrong attention, so there are restrictions
  9. It wouldn't be hard to do that tbh, but our leaders are fat pigs and keep all the money for themselves. It would be great to have some tough Rajasthanis and Haryanvis as Sikhs. Sikhi would be easy to spread as most Indians already believe in karma, reincarnation, god being everywhere, people in india are very familiar with these things. All we need to do is send out people to do parchar and spread awareness but our leaders are too corrupt, they just dont give a <banned word filter activated> about sikhi or sikhs
  10. For all the halal kebab fans, heres how your halal kebabs come about in the first place Im sure waheguru loves seeing his animals being treated like this

    Jathera Worship

That's basically ancestor worshiping, my family are into that too. If a new bride comes into the family they take her to the jathera place. Then they do weird rituals with flour and bangles. No different to ancestors jaggahs that many families in India have.
  12. Just a few hours ago I saw a singh with dastar and dhari walk into a halal kebab shop! He weren't British was from India.
  13. found it, it was Isaac who was meditating Isaac Marries Rebekah62Now Isaac had just returned from Beer-lahai-roi, for he was living in the Negev. 63Early in the evening Isaac went out to the field to meditate, and looking up, he saw the camels approaching.64Rebekah lifted up her eyes, and when she saw Isaac, she got down from her camel…
  14. yeah thats very interesting. Many jews do believe in reincarnation and early christianity was very different to what it is today. Early Christianity was spiritual and mystic like. I remember in the old testament one of the prophets was meditating too, forgot which one it was though
  15. You do realize how annoying people find these "preachers" lol whenever they try to hand out leaflets everyone tries to walk around and dodge them haha
  16. sleeping around is not a "western pattern" people have been sleeping around for 1000s of years all over the planet. Also the west has only become sexually liberated in the last few decades. In the UK many single teen mothers had to give their babies away for adoption even back in the 60s 70s because having a baby before marriage was a social taboo back then. Sex before marriage and adultery has been taking place in Punjabi villages for a very very long time lol! its nothing new tbh. Pinds have always been full of dirty secrets lol.
  17. Quran says beat your wives 4:34 ... As to those women on whose part ye fear disloyalty and ill-conduct, admonish them (first), (next), refuse to share their beds, (and last) beat them (lighty) doesn't sound very divine to me!
  18. A few weeks ago we had some young black people marching through the high street with a massive cross telling everyone the usual "Jesus is the only way" but I think they got told off by the police
  19. Don't know about Muslims but we have an old christian man in our high street every other day shouting through a very loud microphone. He openly says how karma, reincarnation are false and how meditation can not help and how "Jesus Christ is the only way to salvation " he calls everyone sinners and asks how many of us have committed adultery and fornication and bla bla bla it's quite funny coz we have a really busy high street and he stands on a stool and shouts through a microphone haha. Apart from few Muslims now then who decide to argue with him everyone else just walks past. He also brings along a few old ladies to hand out leaflets.
  20. wouldn't a geographical border limit sikhi? if our leaders actually cared Sikhi would spread very fast in India, especially among the poor and dalits. Even today it would actually be easy. Everyone wants acceptance and be treated equally, its something that dalits in india have been looking for centuries. Even jatts were shudras, its because of Guru Gobind Singh ji that people started respecting jatts once they became Singhs. When guru ji used to train these jatts/dalits with shastar vidiya the hill rajas used to taunt guru ji and say what is your army of shudras going to do, it was that very army that became khasla and destroyed the hill rajas. our leaders are basically <banned word filter activated> lol
  21. What about the sakhi of Guru har rai ji as a child. He was running around and his chola got caught in a rose bush and broke one rose and its petals fell everywhere, Guru Har Rai ji got very upset when he saw this and Guru Hargobind ji told him to be careful with his chola. Guru Har Rai ji loved animals, planted trees and created many gardens, guru ji even got upset with destroying a rose so you really think guru ji would be happy with chopping a animals head off? Even Guru jis gurdwara in Hosiarpur i think? is called "gurdwara hariyan bailan" green vines
  22. Some people do say that Banda Singh Bahadur was wrong, I don't know, should be careful of what we say though! he could of been very close to Waheguru for what we know. Traditionally he is seen as a hero. The Mughals caught him and put him in a cage and paraded him around Delhi and then fed him his own son! that is just horrific! I dont know much about him but he did blow up Sirhind but did not blow up the religious muslim buildings, like the rauza sharif place, which i think is a burial site for indian muslim saints. Well Sikhs splitting up and not sticking together has pretty much been the history of india and indians! in fact the main reason that india has been conquered by invaders for around 1000 years is because Indian society has been so divided. Shudras used to be murdered or converted and the brahmins used to say good riddance, little did the foolish brahmins know that these very shudras would one day convert to a religion which would threaten the very existence of the hindu dharam. The tables turned and the very people that the brahmins used to call shudras now started calling the brahmins kafirs.
